Dropshipping programs specializing in selling expensive items are unusual due to the risk of chargebacks.
So, I was dubious about the claims made by AJ Jomah’s 7 Figure Skills when I initially came across them.
After all, it may just be a dropshipping course disguised as a one-of-a-kind one that promises to help you develop a seven-figure company.
Because I’m not linked with 7 Figure Skills, you can be certain that my 7 Figure Skills review is honest and impartial.
7 Figure Skills isn’t too different from most dropshipping courses.
Sure, their marketing makes some great promises you haven’t heard from the other dropshipping gurus, but at the end of the day, no magic bullet overcomes the massive pitfalls of this business model.
AJ Jomah’s 7 Figure Skills is pretty much your standard dropshipping course.
If you’ve followed my blog for long, you know that I don’t like dropshipping as a business model for a few different reasons.
That being said, it IS possible to make money with it, so I want to give you an honest review of this particular program.
But first, let me clear the air on one important thing:
Dropshipping has never been – and will never be – a passive, recurring business. No matter what the guru might tell you, it requires constant work.
I’m telling you this from my own personal experience running several dropshipping stores on both Shopify AND Clickfunnels.
If you’re looking for a business that you’ll need to be super active in, dropshipping might be for you.
If you want to make money while you sleep and travel the world, dropshipping just isn’t it.
The main reason?
To have real success with dropshipping, you need a bulletproof system for finding the hottest new products before anyone else.
In the very best case scenario, you have a relationship with your supplier, where they give you a heads up on products that are about to pop. These relationships don’t typically come around until you’ve done 6-figures in business with the supplier.
In the worst-case scenario, you’re testing a bunch of products with ads, losing money until you find that one winner.
I’m not saying dropshipping is a bad idea based on that alone… most businesses require you to lose money before you actually make money, so it’s somewhat normal.
But let’s assume you DO in fact have the next fidget-spinner craze product, months before anyone else knows about it…
That’s great! But now you’re gonna need to get people to buy it.
Translation?
- Tens of thousands of dollars in ads
- Tons of time spent split testing to find the best landing page variations, best product descriptions, best ad copy, best ad videos, etc.
Again, some people thrive on that and love it. So if you’re looking for that level of constant testing and gambling, it might be a good fit.
It’s also worth calling out that Facebook has a track record of banning you FOR LIFE from advertising on their platform for dropshipping.
Think about it: it ruins a user’s experience with Facebook when a product shows up 45 days after they’ve ordered it, and is nothing like the product they thought they were buying.
So Facebook would rather ban you from their platform than risk a bad user experience.
Suffice it to say, it’s a lot of stress for not a lot of payback.
As someone that actually ran a dropshipping business, I can tell you from personal experience that your time can be better spent with other business models.
If you’d prefer a business model that generates recurring, semi-passive income, you may be interested in using the Digital Rental Method.

Who Is AJ Jomah?
AJ Jomah developed 7-Figure Skills and several similar programs. He’s created a lot of software over the years, such as Amazon FBA and Print on Demand. Using Google Shopping Ads, he will show you how to increase the sales of expensive items on the Shopify platform via dropshipping. Google Ads is an excellent way to attract customers since it allows you to target certain keywords that users search for when they are ready to buy. Putting money into that traffic source is the best way to maximize your returns.
Some high-ticket items, such as furniture, may readily sell for $2,000-$20,000. AJ says everything changed for him when he began selling high-ticket items and now earns a good living online. High-ticket items, in my experience, are considerably more difficult to sell. If you’re starting, you should look at low-ticket or medium-ticket products addressed in other courses.
When you’re out there hawking low-cost goods, you’re paid less. That implies you’ll have to work harder to sell more stuff. AJ’s success skyrocketed when he shifted his focus to things with high tickets. If you’re going to spend $3000, would you feel comfortable purchasing from a random online store, or will you conduct your research or try to find in Google Ads the greatest brand?
I believe it’s safe to assume that most people will do the latter.
I don’t particularly appreciate concentrating on low-ticket/fad items, but I also believe that going to sell high-ticket products has challenges.

Module 2: Brainstorming Product Ideas
In this second module, you’ll learn about the many methods you may use to zero in on the best products to sell in your Shopify store and look at case studies of successful shops that bring in over $100,000 monthly.
Jomah has carefully chosen the information to capture the user’s interest and contribute to innovation.
Module 3: Validating Your Niche & Finding Suppliers

Jomah tells you how to choose a high-selling template, choose brand names, and create the logo.
He also recommends nine plugins for automating the shop.
Module 5: Supplier Approval & Research
The Supplier Approval & Research module teaches you the step-by-step supplier research procedure, the 21-point supplier checklist, and how to build dropship reseller agreements.
It will allow you access to Jomah’s email scripts, which he used to get supplier approval in minutes.
Module 6: Store Optimization
Jomah will swiftly show you how to convert leads into customers in this module and share his preferred templates for the About Me, Contact Us, and Shipping and Returns pages.
You’ll also learn how to compose an engaging email to entice current customers to return for further purchases.
Module 7: Email & Automation
This week’s module focuses on your target market so that you may use time-tested strategies to get them to visit your store.
Jomah will assist you in researching various methods to engage with your audience.
Module 8: Traffic Overview
Module 8 teaches you how to create your first Google ads campaign, get many Google hacks, and turn traffic into leads.
There’s also a free coaching call with AJ Jomah or one of his Google Shopping colleagues.
Module 9: Facebook Advertising
This module seems to have been added at the end of the course for no reason other than to make it longer. Facebook is probably not the best place to try selling expensive items through dropshipping.
The Pricing Structure Of 7 Figure Skills
7 Figure Skills has three options available: a standard package for $1,297, hold my hand premium academy for 2,497, and a done-for-you solution for $5,997.
The prices of these packages reveal that AJ Jomah is a great fan of high-ticket items, and he believes it helps in selling training programs as well.
The Problems With High Ticket Dropshipping
If there is a problem with a high-ticket item you dropped sent to a customer, you’ll have to replace it or give them their money back. If your supplier refuses to make a replacement, you will have to bear the loss.
You’re not only losing a client, but you’re also losing the full purchase price. There is no way to avoid paying product expenses, shipping fees, or advertising charges when you have a dropshipping store.
Are There Alternatives To 7 Figure Skills?
Yes, there are plenty of Dropshipping programs and resources to choose from if you want to pursue this business model. Here are just a few:
Is AJ Jomah A Scam?
So, time for the question you’ve been waiting for: is AJ Jomah a scam?
No, not technically speaking. They aren’t going to take your money and ride off into the sunset without delivering you access to their course.
It’s 100% possible to make money with this program, but it’s not nearly as simple as AJ Jomah wants you to think it is.
There is A LOT of upfront work to do, and no guarantee of success.
Don’t get me wrong – I’m all for doing hard work now so that I can collect checks in the future.
But if I’m going to spend 3 months of my life working super hard & spending thousands of dollars, just to break even… it’s just not worth it (in my opinion).
