There are A LOT of people out there who bash all MLMs in any form. However, I’m not one of those people.

They’re businesses in which you pay money to a company for the ability to sell their products.
Sometimes the products are actually kind of decent (I still remember my mom throwing Pampered Chef parties when I was younger).
Other times the products are really poorly made and come with a high price tag.
Typically, the only way to really make money is to get people (mostly friends & family) to sign up with you for a recurring subscription.
If the product is 100% legitimate & valuable, it’s entirely possible to get people to sign-up and continue paying you.
If the product is subpar, you’ll usually burn those bridges kinda quickly and end up with $0 coming in each month.
The biggest issue I’ve seen is that this puts significant stress on your personal relationships, as you’re reliant on selling to your “network.”
Think about it: if you KNEW that every time your friend Sally called, she’d be trying to sell you on one of her products… you’d eventually stop answering Sally’s calls.
Now, this doesn’t mean MLMs are outright bad… it means you need to know what type of MLM you’re getting yourself into before you sign up.
Again, some MLMs provide real value to people, but MOST don’t – so in this article, I’m going to explore the case with CILI By Design.

Retail Commissions
Customers who make purchases on your duplicated member website will earn retail commissions. These bonuses are distributed based on a unilevel pay structure. Residual commissions are awarded to affiliates depending on the sales volume achieved by their less successful binary sales team.
Here’s a basic description of how the uni-level compensation plan works:
- Level 1: The first level of your uni-level compensation plan will only include individuals you directly recruited.
- Level 2: The second level of your compensation plan will only include qualified members individually recruited by your level 1 members.
- Level 3: The third level of your compensation plan will only include team members individually recruited by your level 2 members.
And so forth…
Retail Fast Start Bonus
During the first four weeks as an affiliate member, retail commissions are earned by recruiting ten personal VIP customers. If you achieve these criteria, you will get $150 in free products plus $150 in profit.
Personal Sales Bonus Commissions
Each month, you will get a commission incentive based on the sales of products to the members you directly recruited. Earn up to 25% of every direct sale made by a customer you directly referred. You can earn commissions from an unlimited number of people you bring into the fold.
Business Builder Fast Start
The business builder fast can be earned when you complete these three requirements:
- Make 200 in personal BV
- You must personally recruit four VIP customers
- You must acquire four VIP members, each of whom must purchase a builder pack
Car And Transportation Bonus Commissions
You will be paid a monthly vehicle and transportation incentive if you maintain your qualifying position. The monthly revenue for this bonus will be lowered for that rank if you do not keep the conditions for the previous month’s position and slide back to the last level rank.
Travel And Expense Account
Like the car and transportation incentive, the travel and expense account is paid monthly based on your eligible rank. This bonus is meant to reduce your trip’s overall cost.
Healthcare And Insurance Bonus
These monthly commission bonuses are meant to ease the financial burden of medical and insurance premiums. Still, you aren’t obligated to use them for these costs if you choose.
How Much Does It Cost To Join CILI By Design?
The minimum fee to join is $39.95; affiliates must also have at least 65 personal BV points to receive commissions. If CILI By Design doesn’t appeal to you, there are a lot of other MLM companies you can try at your own risk.

Yes, there are plenty of MLM companies to choose from if you want to pursue this business model. Here are just a few:
Is CILI By Design A Scam?
So, time for the $1,000,000 question: is CILI By Design a scam?
No, not technically. They aren’t going to run off with your money and not give you what you paid for. It’s 100% possible to make money with this program.
That being said, it’s not nearly as simple as they want you to think it is.
There’s A LOT of work to be done upfront, and no guarantee that you’ll be successful. The commissions are also fairly small.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for doing hard work now, so that I can reap the benefits later.
But if you’re going to work really hard for 3 months, and your reward is a $100 check… it’s not really a great opportunity.
If I’m gonna do that, I want the rewards to be HIGH and virtually guaranteed.
I’d rather put in that same 3 months of work (in my spare time) & build a handful of Digital Rental Properties that each produce $500-$2,000 checks every single month afterward (AKA recurring income).

If you read the contracts, they can kick you out or change your commission at any time (it’s happened in a few high-profile MLM cases recently).
Why pour your soul into a business that could be taken away from you at the drop of a dime?
