eCom Success Academy Reviews (2024): Is Adrian Morrison Legit?

It’s one of those “earn money online” schemes that are built on the idea of selling knock-off goods from China.

But hey, if you wanna RISK YOUR LIFE SAVINGS on a business model that just got wrecked by Chinese Wholesalers…

Then, by all means, don’t let us stop you from creating yet another SCREW UP your parents give you a hard time about.

It’s supposed to show you how to become a 6-figure eCom king…but it’s truly out of reach for most people like you constrained by budgets and student loans.

That’s just the truth…you won’t get rich by chasing the next hot product that only lasts 3 months.

And while we have to be honest for this review…

eCom Success Academy is pretty much your standard dropshipping course.

If you’ve followed my blog for long, you know that I don’t like dropshipping as a business model for a few different reasons.

That being said, it IS possible to make money with it, so I want to give you an honest review of this particular program.

But first, let me clear the air on one important thing:

Dropshipping has never been – and will never be – a passive, recurring business. No matter what the guru might tell you, it requires constant work.

I’m telling you this from my personal experience running several dropshipping stores on both Shopify AND Clickfunnels.

If you’re looking for a business that you’ll need to be super active in, dropshipping might be for you.

If you want to make money while you sleep and travel the world, dropshipping just isn’t it.

The main reason?

To have real success with dropshipping, you need a bulletproof system for finding the hottest new products before anyone else.

In the very best-case scenario, you have a relationship with your supplier, where they give you a heads up on products that are about to pop. These relationships don’t typically come around until you’ve done 6-figures in business with the supplier.

In the worst-case scenario, you’re testing a bunch of products with ads, losing money until you find that one winner.

I’m not saying dropshipping is a bad idea based on that alone… most businesses require you to lose money before you make money, so it’s somewhat normal.

But let’s assume you DO in fact have the next fidget-spinner craze product, months before anyone else knows about it…

That’s great! But now you’re gonna need to get people to buy it.

Translation?

• Tens of thousands of dollars in ads
• Tons of time spent split testing to find the best landing page variations, best product descriptions, best ad copy, best ad videos, etc.

Again, some people thrive on that and love it. So if you’re looking for that level of constant testing and gambling, it might be a good fit.

It’s also worth calling out that Facebook has a track record of banning you FOR LIFE from advertising on their platform for dropshipping.

Think about it: it ruins a user’s experience with Facebook when a product shows up 45 days after they’ve ordered it, and is nothing like the product they thought they were buying.

So Facebook would rather ban you from their platform than risk a bad user experience.

Suffice to say, it’s a lot of stress for not a lot of payback.

As someone that has run a dropshipping business, I can tell you from personal experience that your time can be better spent with other business models.

If you’d prefer a business model that generates recurring, semi-passive income, you may be interested in using the Digital Rental Method.

Who Is Adrian Morrison?

If you’re in the business of making money online, Adrian Morrison is a well-known name to know. You’ve probably seen some of his business programs:

He’s truly a genius at social media and has created and written many trainings and books about digital marketing and being an entrepreneur.

In fact, Shopify even uses him as a program instructor for their new clients.

eCom Success Academy Course Overview:

If you want to learn how to generate money online with Shopify via dropshipping, the eCom Success Academy course is the best option for you.

It’s one of only a handful of courses that gets the Shopify seal of approval.  Inside you’ll learn about:

• Finding a niche
• Online ads
• Exploiting Social Media
• Scaling

His ESA course was among the first Shopify courses and is relatively unmatched on the market.

The course is very comprehensive and goes into detail about all the aspects of dropshipping.

In fact, his techniques for upselling plugins have proven to be very effective for his Success Academy students.

Adrian Morrison also leads you by the hand regarding Facebook Ads.  This is critical since Facebook Ads are the cornerstone of his ESA marketing strategy.

Sadly, there isn’t much covered about manual bidding in the course and this is crucial to your Facebook ads.  One wrong move could cost your business a bundle.

Some of the other courses do cover advertising on these platforms like:

• Google Ads
• Instagram
• Pinterest
• Twitter
• Snapchat

It would have been nice if he’d covered these.

Other courses go into detail about how to use these platforms in your online marketing.

With that said, we would give the eCom Success Academy course a 4 out of 5-star rating even though it’s been a while since it has been updated.  I would think that if you’re going to throw $1 Million+ into your program, then you might want to create a budget for ongoing course updates.

But I need to cut Adrian some slack, ESA dropshipping course is one of the best that you can buy to help you give your dropshipping business the extra boost it needs.

How Much Is The eCom Success Academy?

The fee for eCom Success Academy is $2,495.

But Adrian does offer a payment plan… 3 payments of $997 which comes out to a total of $2,991.

Of course, nobody carries this much money around with them (and it is a lot of money), but if you take into consideration the amount of information that’s provided all in one location, why reinvent the wheel and try to figure this stuff out for your business on your own.

Now, other eCommerce pieces of training online won’t have your credit card company thinking you’ve gone batty… some might even be cheaper than this course, but in this eCom Success Academy review, you’ll see why this one is better than those.

However, Adrian Morrison no longer sells the previous editions of his course online.

Though it is the same course, he does add new information to it when new trends arise.  All in all, you’ll get…

Adrian’s course covers many subjects, from beginners to seasoned drop shippers. It’s designed for those who are just getting started, but I think it has something to offer everyone, regardless of their skill level.

He takes pride in that what he teaches is useful and informative for all his Success Academy students no matter their level of experience with drop shipping.

Now, you will certainly get a lot more value from the course when you’re first starting, but even if you have a fair knowledge of drop shipping, you’ll still benefit from the more advanced techniques like automating your business and your long-term exit plan.

Is eCom Success Academy Right For You?

Adrian Morrison’s course is a great resource for anybody who is just starting to start drop-shipping or even if they have been doing it for some time. Whether or not you’ve previously achieved success in drop shipping, this training will also benefit you. Morrison is making sure that you’ll be successful in your eCommerce business.

Although, as we cover in this eCom Success Academy review, you may want to consider that Adrian doesn’t offer any refunds for the course.  So, if you have any lingering doubts about being successful with the course, then it might be a good idea to take a hard pass.  If you do get started with the course, I truly believe that it will help you get your dropshipping business off the ground.

I’m guessing what I’m trying to say is that the price tag could be a hindrance, but if you can get past the sticker shock, then go for it.

You can certainly make money with eCom, but if you’re gonna put in the amount of grueling work to become an eCom Pro (which, trust me, isn’t easy), you might as well bring in some REAL money.

The program that helped skyrocket my online business to $40,000+ per month teaches some of the same eCom skills but shows you how to monetize them in a much, MUCH more profitable way.

Is eCom Success Academy Worth The Money?

The course’s content is clear, well-structured, and logically organized.

This eCom Success Academy review shows how it covers every possible topic when it comes to dropshipping.

Adrian also takes time to go over Facebook ads along with email marketing whereas other courses only stick with Facebook.

So, to answer your question… Yes, it is worth it.

Unfortunately, even though Adrian spends so much time helping you set up your FB pages and creating your campaigns, it’s a little lacking in one aspect.

Making Bids…

Even if you feel you have a pretty good grasp on bidding, even marketers who are very experienced with it can run into snags.  That said, you can really take a chunk out of your campaigning budget if you slip up.  I just find it hard to believe that eCom Success Academy doesn’t even touch on Facebook bidding.

If you are new to Facebook Ads, just know that you could literally blow an entire week’s budget getting into a bidding war with other marketers.

So, how does this affect you?

• Other dropshippers with the same type of products are angling for the same keywords as you.
• You just can’t shake the thought that you need to go over your current bid because someone else, with a higher budget, can outbid you.
• As a beginner, setting your initial bid is a bit of a mystery.
• Broad targeting may sound appealing due to lower costs, but your ROI can suffer, so you’ll need to get good at targeting.
• You have to become familiar with analyzing your data so you can adjust your spending.
• You can struggle between killing or scaling your ad
• Knowing how long to run a campaign is a must
• On top of all that, you have to do all this for each product that you’re marketing

No matter how good you think the course is, if you mess up with bidding, it could send your business spiraling and I believe that Adrian could spend more time on this issue.

Now with that being said, it is entirely possible to build a profitable, successful online business.

But unlike eCom Success Academy, it actually provides real proof of real success from real people as recently as a few days ago.

So, Is There Inherent Value For Your Money With eCom Success Academy?

How much does eCom Success Academy cost? It’s $2,495 in total. Isn’t that a high price? That price makes eCom Success Academy one of the most costly dropshipping courses.

That’s pretty obvious…

Design: 

• Aesthetically pleasing
• Great navigation
• Video and sound quality are stellar
• The modules name lessons can be confusing
• ESA should be wrapped in a bow

• The course material is very thorough
• Well-designed
• Easy to understand

• Exclusive access to plugins
• Discounts on Shopify app and others
• Additional training on the site for members 
• Fabulous support

So Is eCom Success Academy Worth The Money? 

eCom Success Academy looks to be likely the best dropshipping course money can buy.

But like I said, Facebook Ad bidding should be covered.

I don’t like the fact that the ESA course doesn’t cover Facebook marketing like I believe it should.

Other courses like eCom Hacks and eCom Elites bend over backward to instruct you in the intricacies of Facebook bidding… eCom Success Academy falls short.

So, is the value there with Adrian Morrison’s course?

Well, yes and no…

Yes… the vast majority of the course content is excellent.

And no… you might have to dig out your credit card again for a separate course that does cover Facebook Ad Bidding unless you’re able to get someone in the Facebook group to take you under their wing.

The eCom Success Academy Course Breakdown:

The course is structured like a doorway, allowing you to enter each session at your own pace.

You may learn as you go along. Depending on your online store development, you may either pause the course or go back and revisit a lesson.

Adrian breaks the course down into specific lessons, which include:

You learn everything you need to know about maximizing your chances for success: finding your target audience, keyword selection, a/b testing, and even more advanced strategies to scale your ads to the next level.

Morrison goes step-by-step through this section showing you all the basics of how best to use email to build up a strong brand following.

Module 5 – Building Your A team

Any small business owner, especially a one-man band, knows that the day-to-day operations can be unnerving.  In this section, Adrian Morrison covers everything about building your ‘A-Team’… the people who will be part of your business automation process.

This is primarily for those dropshippers who are already making sales, NOT beginners.

Adrian explains this part very well, showing you all the upsides of automation, which is one thing that other courses don’t.  To scale, you’ll need freelancers for:

• Product Management 
• Product Research
• Customer Service 
• Social Media Management

Module 6 – Project Management

In this module about Project Management, Adrian goes into more detail than what was covered in Module 5

Adrian recommends a couple of companies and applications that you can use in order to streamline the project management process.

These applications have a specific task and Adrian explains which feature is best for which task.

Though this could be out of reach for most beginners.  One application will be about $7/month while the other is a whopping $11/team member/month.  That’s probably out of reach even for a veteran dropshipper. 

Module 7 – Long-Term Exit Plan

This is a bit original for an e-Commerce Course in that you don’t typically find too many that talk about it.

So what Adrian covers in this module is your exit plan which is the process of selling your business.  At least that’s the intention, but I feel it falls a bit short.

My hang-up with his Long-term Exit Plan:

His spreadsheet is fairly elementary, and I’m betting you could find a better one online for free.

The plan itself is only partially completed.

A profit a loss spreadsheet is great to have, but how about these:

• Advertising your business when it’s time to sell
• Where to find a buyer?
• How to determine if the buyer is the right choice?
• What other things do you need besides a profit & loss sheet?
• Will you train the new owner? 
• What about taxes?

This isn’t an exhaustive list, I’m sure you could come up with more.

Module 8 – Bonus

In this section, we have 5 specific areas to focus on

These areas are:

Section #1:  Live Coaching Calls

So, what we have are a series of videos dating back to 2016.  It’s set up as having a video created every day for the 4 weeks of the course.

• 2016: 34 videos
• 2017: 30 videos
• 2018: 25 videos

The videos cover a huge array of topics including videos of the following:

• Shopify Settings
• Shopify Apps
• Different FB Strategies 
• Email marketing
• Custom Products

So let’s take a look at the Live Coaching Calls and what you’ll be getting in them.  Specifically, this one is of Facebook Branding which is 1 hour / 56 min long.

Since the videos themselves were so long (and for the sake of time), I didn’t get a chance to go through every year – I only covered the videos for 2018.  For the coaching that Adrian does every week, he takes a second look at the course information and zeros in on specific areas.

Now if your goal is to watch all the videos before you start any work (especially the 2019 videos), then you want to make sure you have a good hot cup of coffee because you’ll be watching these for at least 100+ hours.  For that matter, I can’t think of any reason why someone would do that, but that’s just me.

Pro:  I like that Adrian shows you some of the cool Secret Settings in Shopify that you might not know are available.  

Con: Adrian does tend to be a bit redundant and doesn’t provide any new details.  

All in all, the Coaching Calls for 2018 have 25 videos with a total of 37 hours of content.  If you’re going to watch through all of them, then it’ll take you about 100 hours or so.

Section #2:  Emailing Marketing with Anthony

Now in the 2nd section for this Bonus Module of eCom Success Academy, we take a look at Email Marketing, which really could be a separate course all by itself.

Here, Adrian Morrison hands the torch off to his younger brother Anthony, who I gather is an email marketing genius.

Anthony shows you a variety of ways to improve your conversions, and he breaks it down into 3 sections called:

• Build Send Profit
• Solo Ads
• Product Launches 

Maybe it’s just me, but for a Bonus Section, these 3 topics seem kind of vague, right?

I don’t look at this as being one of the best course tutorials, mainly because Anthony spends all 26 videos lecturing on concepts with a whiteboard behind him, not really going into specific detail.

When money is involved and sensible application is necessary, you need a bit more than just conceptualization.

Section #3:  Outsource Mastery

Adam Rader tackles this bonus module.  Unfortunately, no background information was given about this guy, so it is what it is.

In these videos, Adam goes over what you should do to go about hiring a good crew of employees and building your A-team.

Though, I have to point out here that I found this to be a little on the light side as well.  The only different thing is the information is being given by someone else with nothing new.

Areas covered:

• 30 minutes worth of tutorials divided into 3 videos
• A presentation in PowerPoint (not much value)
• A couple of PDFs that pretty much just go over the videos

Section #4:  Sizzle Product Sniper Software

Here Adrian Morrison lets you in on a little secret software application that he uses to find products to sell by legally spying on Facebook and AliExpress.  What makes these products so special is that they are currently trending very high.

It’s not a very long video, it just shows how the software works.

Honestly, it’s a pretty cool piece of software that will save you tons in product research, and only Adrian’s students and success academy members will have access to it.  

Section #5:  Case Studies

In this section, Adrian goes over some case studies that focus on Facebook Ads.  Adrian says that he’s made a lot of money online with these ads and he outlines exactly what you need to do to copy him.

What Is The Sizzle Product Sniper Software?

Specific goods that are presently converting are located using the sizzling product sniper.

Adrian Morrison shows you how to use this software so that you can have an edge over your competition.  It not only finds converting Facebook ads, but it also finds AliExpress products that are good deals so they can be added to your online store right away.

Can I Purchase Sizzle Product Sniper Software Separately?

No. This software comes with the purchase of the course. It’s valued at $599, so you could probably shop around for comparable software.

Is eCom Success Academy A Scam?

So, time for the question you’ve been waiting for: is eCom Success Academy a scam?

No, not technically speaking. They aren’t going to take your money and ride off into the sunset without delivering you access to their course.

It’s 100% possible to make money with this program, but it’s not nearly as simple as Adrian Morrison wants you to think it is.

There is A LOT of upfront work to do, and no guarantee of success.

Don’t get me wrong – I’m all for doing hard work now so that I can collect checks in the future.

But if I’m going to spend 3 months of my life working super hard & spending thousands of dollars, just to break even… it’s just not worth it (in my opinion).

Think about it: what if you worked that same 3 months with just an hour or two per day, and in return, you could collect a $500-$2,000 check that continues to come in every month?

Even better, what if you could actually get that first check in as little as a week?

And what if you could double or triple it over the next month or two?

That’s what you get when you use the Digital Rental Method.

All you really need is a laptop and some internet.

Are There Alternatives To The eCom Success Academy?

There are quite a few other options to consider.

I mean there’s affiliate marketing.

• Adsense and…You see where I’m heading with this… 

So, the $50k question is this… what is better than dropshipping?

Two words:  Passive Income

What Is My Top Recommendation For Making Money Online In 2024?

I’ve personally tried all of the major online business models:

• I’ve drop-shipped a toilet bowl putting green on Shopify
• I’ve drop-shipped jade rollers via Clickfunnels
• I’ve sold fidget spinners through Amazon FBA
• I’ve sold women’s health supplements via Clickbank affiliate marketing

And I made money with all of them, so trust me when I say: there is no “perfect” business model.

That being said, my #1 recommendation for making real money online is, hands-down: being a Digital Landlord.

Whether you’re a complete newbie, or you’ve been around the block before but have never had that “big win” to propel you forward, using the Digital Rental Method is for you.

Why?

1)Time: If you’ve got a spare hour or two each day, you can do this. If you want to drop everything and go all-in, you can do this. More time obviously means faster results, but even putting in a few hours per day is enough to see real success.

And because of that flexibility, you don’t need to trade your time for money. Once the income starts, it’s recurring.

That means you can take a month off, travel the country, pursue a passion project, chill on the beach, or charter a boat across the world.

But you can only do that once you’ve created an income stream that doesn’t require YOU to be there all day, every day.

2) Ownership & Control: With dropshipping, you don’t actually own anything. You can’t control your product quality, or even what the package looks like when it shows up.
Technically you own your Shopify site… but ad platforms could shut you down at a moment’s notice… so you don’t really have much control there.

With the Digital Rental Method, you literally own all of the assets, which means you have ultimate control.
3) Fulfillment: Alright, so you don’t have any inventory… but that worry has been replaced with the pains of overseas fulfillment.

That means your customer is going to have to wait 3-4 weeks to receive their order.

Then add in the current global supply chain woes… and you’re looking at 5-6-7 weeks!

Then the customer slaps you with a refund, and all of that time spent testing and spending money on ads was for nothing.

You don’t have to worry about any of that when you’re renting out digital properties.

4) It’s Effectively Copy-Paste: Here’s my favorite part: once you have your first Digital Rental Property up, you can literally copy-paste another version of it and find another willing “renter” in a few days. DOUBLING your income doesn’t get much easier than that…

If you wanted to double your income with dropshipping, you would need to sell twice as much inventory, or double your profit margins. And I can guarantee you (from my Shopify dropshipping days), that’s a lot harder than a few clicks & a phone call.

5) Big Margins: With dropshipping, you’re often going to have really slim margins. That means you need to hit a serious scale to make serious money. This usually entails spending A LOT of money on ads and other methods for growing traffic to your product.
