Welcome to my eCom Warrior Academy review. My goal is to answer common questions like: how much it costs to get started, if it's a scam, if you can actually make money with it, & who the founders really are. The end goal is to help you understand if it's a good fit for you, and if there are better alternatives out there.

What I Liked

What I Didn't Like

Before we get into it... who am i?

Always good to put a name to a face, so firstly, my name is Hope!

Like you, I was stuck working 8-10 hour days building someone else’s dream.

I worked at one of those cool tech companies that has omelet stations for breakfast & craft beer on tap for after hours.

To a lot of people that’s a dream, but to me… something was missing.

All I really wanted, was to actually enjoy life – more vacations, less stress, buy myself nice things without worrying about the cost… but that was something my 9-5 couldn’t provide me.

That was until a few years ago when I discovered a way to make money online by actually helping real people.

People in this case were local business owners across the US.

Me and My Puppy

The page above is an example of how I do it. That one-page site generates $1,500/mo and I haven’t even touched it since it was put up.

That’s an $18,000/year raise from just one page.

That’s why local lead generation is my #1 business recommendation for recurring, semi-passive income. If you want to learn about that business model, click here.

Important: I am not an affiliate

for eCom Warrior Academy

Why Does That Matter?

A lot of course reviewers have no experience with any of the business models or programs they review, and so they’re just making stuff up.

They do that because they want you to click through their link to buy from the person that the review is about!

They have no clue what it’s actually like to run the type of business eCom Warrior Academy is teaching you to do.
I have absolutely no relationship with eCom Warrior Academy, so you can rest easy knowing that I’m going to give you my honest opinion
This review is written based on my own experiences with dropshipping.

All that being said, let’s jump into things.

Ecom Warrior Academy Review

Ecom Warrior Academy

Through this Ecom Warrior Academy review, you’ll get to know Ecom Warrior Academy and see for yourself if it really is the best dropshipping course program out there.

Not just that, you’ll see if dropshipping will help you make money online.

More importantly, you will learn if it’s the most fitting online business for you.

At the end of this Ecom Warrior Academy review, you’ll have answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about dropshipping and of course, about Ecom Warrior Academy in general.

Ecom Warrior Academy is pretty much your standard dropshipping course.

If you’ve followed my blog for long, you know that I don’t like dropshipping as a business model for a few different reasons.

That being said, it IS possible to make money with it, so I want to give you an honest review of this particular program.

But first, let me clear the air on one important thing:

Dropshipping has never been – and will never be – a passive, recurring business. No matter what the guru might tell you, it requires constant work.

I’m telling you this from my own personal experience running several dropshipping stores on both Shopify AND Clickfunnels.

If you’re looking for a business that you’ll need to be super active in, dropshipping might be for you.

If you want to make money while you sleep and travel the world, dropshipping just isn’t it.

The main reason?

To have real success with dropshipping, you need a bulletproof system for finding the hottest new products before anyone else.

In the very best case scenario, you have a relationship with your supplier, where they give you a heads up on products that are about to pop. These relationships don’t typically come around until you’ve done 6-figures in business with the supplier.

In the worst case scenario, you’re testing a bunch of products with ads, losing money until you find that one winner.

I’m not saying dropshipping is a bad idea based on that alone… most businesses require you to lose money before you actually make money, so it’s somewhat normal.

But let’s assume you DO in fact have the next fidget-spinner craze product, months before anyone else knows about it…

That’s great! But now you’re gonna need to get people to buy it.

Translation?

  • Tens of thousands of dollars in ads
  • Tons of time spent split testing to find the best landing page variations, best product descriptions, best ad copy, best ad videos, etc.

Again, some people thrive on that and love it. So if you’re looking for that level of constant testing and gambling, it might be a good fit.

It’s also worth calling out that Facebook has a track record of banning you FOR LIFE from advertising on their platform for dropshipping.

Think about it: it ruins a user’s experience with Facebook when a product shows up 45 days after they’ve ordered it, and is nothing like the product they thought they were buying.

So Facebook would rather ban you from their platform than risk a bad user experience.

Suffice to say, it’s a lot of stress for not-alot of payback.

As someone that actually ran a dropshipping business, I can tell you from personal experience that your time can be better spent with other business models.

If you’d prefer a business model that generates recurring, semi-passive income, you may be interested in becoming a Digital Landlord.

This means:

  • No sketchy suppliers
  • No razor-thin margins
  • No banned ad accounts
  • No super angry customers
  • No spending $10K testing an ad campaign

It’s something that you could make anywhere from $2,000 – $10,000 with consistently, month after month.

A stream of income that you can build as high (or low) as you feel like building it.

If that sounds interesting, you might want to think about becoming a Digital Landlord.

For the Ecom Warrior Academy review, let’s keep reading.

Who Is Matthew Lepre?

Who Is Matthew Lepre

Matthew Lepre is an Australian entrepreneur who claims that he earns six figures a month from building successful eCommerce businesses.

Just like any other guru who prides themself on their success stories, Matthew claims that this success was obtained in just a short period of time.

What’s concerning is that his statements are, in a way, contradicting. How can someone who says they are broke manage to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to develop a formula that works for him best?

Matthew has an active social media life. However, his videos on the internet are not that educational. These videos on his YouTube channel are vlogs about his lifestyle and travel more than anything else.

Matthew Lepre returned to Australia where he is now working on a new training program to guide individuals on their journey towards making money online—earning six figures by just staying at home through various types of an online store.

What Is Matthew Lepre Business?

Matthew Lepre Business - Ecom Warrior Academy

The founder and CEO of Ecom Warrior Academy is none other than Matthew Lepre, himself. He encourages people to stray away from their 9-to-5 grind by pursuing ecommerce.

He teaches people what ecommerce business is about and assists them in building their own ecommerce store to generate a lot of money.

Many people follow Matthew to help them in learning more about achieving a potentially successful ecommerce business.

What Does Matthew Lepre Sell?

Beauty Products For Men And Women

Matthew Lepre sells a variety of beauty products for men & women, and educational books through his ecommerce sites. This earns him more than $120,000 a month.

As he struggled in finding tools when he first started, he understands that there exists a demand for these kind of tools. A lot of his students were  struggling to find tools to help them be successful.

Ecom Warrior Academy Not Free

Ecom Warrior Academy, unfortunately, is not a free training. This online course will cost you about $4,000—the price commonly reported on the web.

What Can You Expect To Learn In The Ecom Warrior Academy?

Ecom Warrior Academy Review - What to learn

The target market of this training is those who are unfamiliar with dropshipping. If you already know dropshipping, there’s not really much to gain from Ecom Warrior Academy.

As a beginner, you’ll learn how to create a Shopify dropshipping store right from scratch. Matthew will also teach you how to utilize social media marketing to drive traffic towards your website. Among the popular subjects he teaches are branding, shipping & logistics, and customer service.

Like any other online mentoring program, you will gain lifetime access to the provided course videos and subsequent updates.

An Overview Of Ecom Warrior Academy

Ecom Warrior Academy Overview

The Ecom Warrior Academy is an online school founded by Matthew Lepre —an Australian ecommerce entrepreneur who makes 6 figures. Matthew began his career in the ecommerce industry back when he was just 20 years old.

The dropshipping course was intended to teach people who are aiming to get into the market of running a lucrative online store using Shopify.

Matthew Lepre decided to build this education program to guide newbies and even those who are struggling with their dropshipping business model and are in need of an assist in sorting things out. Maybe they are just looking for advice from a coach who’s been in the field for some time and who has already succeeded with an ecommerce business.

Is Ecom Warrior Academy Scam?

Scam Alert

So, time for the question you’ve been waiting for: is Ecom Warrior Academy a scam?

No, not technically speaking. They aren’t going to take your money and ride off into the sunset without delivering you access to their course.

It’s 100% possible to make money with this program, but it’s not nearly as simple as Matthew Lepre wants you to think it is.

There is A LOT of upfront work to do, and no guarantee of success.

Don’t get me wrong – I’m all for doing hard work now so that I can collect checks in the future.

But if I’m going to spend 3 months of my life working super hard & spending thousands of dollars, just to break even… it’s just not worth it (in my opinion).

Think about it: what if you worked that same 3 months with just an hour or two per day, and in return you could collect a $500-$2,000 check that continues to come in every month?

Passive income

Even better, what if you could actually get that first check in as little as a week?

And what if you could double or triple it over the next month or two?

That’s what you get when you rent digital properties as a Digital Landlord.

All you really need is a laptop and some internet.

Some of my friends are Digital Landlords that run their 6-figure businesses from:

  • Camping trips at national parks
  • Beachfront in Hawaii
  • On the road in a camper-van (with a pet pig!

Saying goodbye to our jobs

They focus on living an enjoyable life first, and focus on income second. All thanks to this program

They can take weeks or months off, and money keeps rolling in.

Living happily is the top priority.

If the thought of living perpetually at your dream vacation spot interests you, being a Digital Landlord might be for you!

On the next part of this Ecom Warrior Academy review, it will be revealed how much it will cost you to avail Matthew Lepre’s program

How Much Does Matthew Lepre’s Course Cost?

Ecom Warrior Academy Cost

The least amount you will need to invest to gain access to Matthew Lepre’s training is $4,000.

Kind of expensive, right? It’s not a free training.

Compared to other training programs that offer similar service, this specific course is relatively expensive. There are other programs in the dropshipping and eCommerce industry that offer courses at a lower cost of entry than this one.

It will be hard to evaluate if the price is worth it as he did not disclose any information other than the basics of his course. It is urged that you phone them for queries.

He has established a name that is successful in this field hence having expertise that he can share with you but is it worth the $4,000?

If you are new to this and are set to explore and pursue dropshipping, Ecom Warrior Academy might help. But later on, you will know and see for yourself that dropshipping is not that all.

Is Dropshipping Business Still A Viable Business Model In 2022?

Dropshipping for 2022

Are you worried that there will come a new and better business model in the near future? Only time will tell for sure. But what you should know is that the dropshipping business model has and will be increasingly difficult to gain success from.

So if you’re aiming to establish a dropshipping business that generates a six-figure income, you will have to put in some blood, sweat, and tears in figuring out how the whole thing works.

The following will be reasons why I do NOT endorse dropshipping:

Financial Risk

Finacial risk

Without effective advertisement, your dropshipping will not sell and earn.

That said, the cost of Facebook ads alone is growing! This can eat away your profits.

It would take weeks, or even months, to just break even before you’ll notice any profit,

To sum it all up, dropshipping has a large financial risk.

Facebook Ad Is Expensive

Facebook advertising is expensive and is difficult to set up

Based on most dropshippers, Facebook ad expenditure would account for at least 30% of your overall sales.

Even with that much, it was said that Facebook advertising is rarely effective for an extended period. It will be effective only until your Facebook ad has exhausted clicks.

Your total revenue will be significantly lower, and worse, you may incur a net loss.

According to Forbes, expenses on Facebook ads increase by about 90% year on year.

The learning curve of Facebook ads are steep as the social networking site’s algorithm changes all the time. It will require you plenty of time, money, and patience to learn and test Facebook ads.

Also, without any prior experience with Facebook ads, your ad account can be suspended for breaking Facebook’s rigorous regulations, that increases every day and so it seems.

Customer Service

Customer service

Dropshipping business requires a significant amount of effort just for communicating with suppliers and of course, with customers.

If the client has a problem with your product, you’ll need to wait for your supplier to assist you in dealing with this.

And if your supplier isn’t any help, you’ll suffer the loss on your own. As a result, many dropshipping stores suffer from negative customer reviews leaving them with very few or no returning customers.

And in the worst-case scenario, expect a high number of credit card chargebacks which may result in your payment gateway being shut down. There aren’t many ways to come back from that.

Time Consuming Product Research

To keep your store profitable, you would need to locate products that have the potential to be a trend to cover advertising expenditures.

Most dropshipping products reach their peak in 1-2 months, if not weeks. This is because there are so many competitors that will steal your product ideas that have the capability to advertise it better or boost their Facebook ad expenditures to outbid you.

So as a result, you’ll need to go out of your way and continue on identifying fresh potential substitute products to generate cash flow.

People who post revenues online and share success stories do not always disclose their profit. Because some may be profitable, but aren’t actually sustainable.

A dropshipping business is not the online business you believe that will make you passive income online.

Most of the people who thrive at dropshipping do it full-time as it demands you to continuously seek and source new products, open new stores, trial-and-error with various marketing, and look for new suppliers to maintain a consistent income.

Doesn’t sound very passive to me!

What Is My #1 Recommendation To Making Money Online In 2022?

Make Money Online

I’ve personally tried all of the major online business models:

  • I’ve drop-shipped a toilet-bowl putting green on Shopify
  • I’ve drop-shipped jade rollers via Clickfunnels
  • I’ve sold fidget spinners through Amazon FBA
  • I’ve sold women’s health supplements via Clickbank affiliate marketing

And I made money with all of them, so trust me when I say: there is no “perfect” business model.

That being said, my #1 recommendation for making real money online is, hands-down: being a Digital Landlord.

Whether you’re a complete newbie, or you’ve been around the block before but have never had that “big win” to propel you forward, becoming a Digital Landlord is for you.

Why?

1)Time: If you’ve got a spare hour-or-two each day, you can do this. If you want to drop everything and go all-in, you can do this. More time obviously means faster results, but even putting in a few hours per day is enough to see real success.

And because of that flexibility, you don’t need to trade your time for money. Once the income starts, it’s recurring.

That means you can take a month off, travel the country, pursue a passion project, chill on the beach, or charter a boat across the world.

But you can only do that once you’ve created an income stream that doesn’t require YOU to be there all day, every day.

2) Ownership & Control: With dropshipping, you don’t actually own anything. You can’t control your product quality, or even what the package looks like when it shows up.

Technically you own your Shopify site… but ad platforms could shut you down on a moment’s notice… so you don’t really have much control there.

Why pour your soul into a business that could be taken away from you at the drop of a dime?

When you’re a Digital Landlord, you literally own all of the assets, which means you have ultimate control.

3) Fulfillment: Alright, so you don’t have any inventory… but that worry has been replaced with the pains of overseas fulfillment.

That means your customer is going to have to wait 3-4 weeks to receive their order.

Then add in the current global supply chain woes… and you’re looking at 5-6-7 weeks!

Then the customer slaps you with a refund, and all of that time spent testing and spending money on ads was for nothing.

You don’t have to worry about any of that when you’re renting out digital properties.

4) It’s Effectively Copy-Paste: Here’s my favorite part: once you have your first Digital Rental Property up, you can literally copy-paste another version of it and find another willing “renter” in a few days. DOUBLING your income doesn’t get much easier than that…

If you wanted to double your income with dropshipping, you would need to sell twice as much inventory, or double your profit margins. And I can guarantee you (from my shopify dropshipping days), that’s a lot harder than a few clicks & a phone call.

5) Big Margins: With dropshipping, you’re often going to have really slim margins. That means you need to hit a serious scale to make serious money. This usually entails spending A LOT of money on ads and other methods for growing traffic to your product.

Being a Digital Landlord, your profit margin is nearly 100%. Watch here to learn how.

Just a reminder: these Digital Rental Properties are worth (at a minimum) $500/mo in semi-passive income. And each time you create another one, your income increases, and the effort put into creating the next property decreases.

Best case scenario, you have properties bringing in over $3,000+/mo on auto-pilot.

6) You’re Helping REAL People: My biggest gripe with dropshipping is that you’re usually finding some product that’s complete garbage, and are tricking people into buying it. It provides no real value to them, or to the world in general.

It’s cool in the short term to make a quick buck, but in the long-term, it gets really old, really fast.

But when you’re a Digital Landlord, you’re helping solve REAL problems that people are ASKING for help with.

Small local businesses around the world need one thing: customers. Without them, their business would fall apart. If we can provide those customers, they’re going to be really happy – and they’re going to pay you for it.

You’re helping a struggling mother or father put FOOD on the table for their families, put their kids through college, or simply live life a little bit more comfortably.

Having this type of impact on the world is what will help you sleep soundly at night.

So, the rest is up to you. You could keep looking at other dropshipping programs like Ecom Warrior Academy, which might make you money 12 months from now.

You could keep researching and researching for the next few months (or few years), never making a concrete decision.

OR, you can look deep inside, think about those dreams, hopes, & desires, and make the decision to ACTUALLY make it happen, just like it has for thousands of other students before you.

Making a fortune while actually helping real people that need it.

If this sounds like you, click here to see how it all works.
