Everyone nowadays is looking for passive income opportunities. And the bulk of these folks is turning to the digital realm to build a profitable internet business.

Let’s take a closer look at Jon Mac’s Store Formula in this review to see if this dropshipping course delivers or not.

Store Formula is a four-week online coaching video package that takes you through a step-by-step tutorial on dropshipping.

Jon Mac claims to have discovered the “winning formula” for eCommerce success.

Could Store Formula be the dropshipping training that turns you into a profitable online business owner?

Before I respond, I’d like to be completely upfront in this review, so.

Store Formula is pretty much your standard dropshipping course.

If you’ve followed my blog for long, you know that I don’t like dropshipping as a business model for a few different reasons.

That being said, it is possible to make money with it, so I want to give you an honest review of this particular program.

But first, let me clear the air on one important thing:

Dropshipping has never been – and will never be – a passive, recurring business. No matter what the guru might tell you, it requires constant work.

I’m telling you this from my own personal experience running several dropshipping stores on both Shopify AND Clickfunnels.

If you’re looking for a business that you’ll need to be super active in, dropshipping might be for you.

If you want to make money while you sleep and travel the world, dropshipping just isn’t it.

The main reason?

To have real success with dropshipping, you need a bulletproof system for finding the hottest new products before anyone else.

In the very best case scenario, you have a relationship with your supplier, where they give you a heads up on products that are about to pop. These relationships don’t typically come around until you’ve done 6-figures in business with the supplier.

In the worst case scenario, you’re testing a bunch of products with ads, losing money until you find that one winner.

I’m not saying dropshipping is a bad idea based on that alone… most businesses require you to lose money before you actually make money, so it’s somewhat normal.

But let’s assume you DO in fact have the next fidget-spinner craze product, months before anyone else knows about it…

That’s great! But now you’re gonna need to get people to buy it.

Translation?

  • Tens of thousands of dollars in ads
  • Tons of time spent split testing to find the best landing page variations, best product descriptions, best ad copy, best ad videos, etc.

Again, some people thrive on that and love it. So if you’re looking for that level of constant testing and gambling, it might be a good fit.

It’s also worth calling out that Facebook has a track record of banning you FOR LIFE from advertising on their platform for dropshipping.

Think about it: it ruins a user’s experience with Facebook when a product shows up 45 days after they’ve ordered it, and is nothing like the product they thought they were buying.

So Facebook would rather ban you from their platform than risk a bad user experience.

Suffice to say, it’s a lot of stress for not-alot of payback.

As someone that actually ran a dropshipping business, I can tell you from personal experience that your time can be better spent with other business models.

If you’d prefer a business model that generates recurring, semi-passive income, you may be interested in using the Digital Rental Method.

This means:

  • No sketchy suppliers
  • No razor-thin margins
  • No banned ad accounts
  • No super angry customers
  • No spending $10K testing an ad campaign

It’s something that you could make anywhere from $2,000 – $10,000 with consistently, month after month.

A stream of income that you can build as high (or low) as you feel like building it.

If that sounds interesting, you might want to think about using the Digital Rental Method.

What Is Store Formula?

Store Formula By Jon Mac

Store Formula is a video course that teaches people how to profit from the eCommerce industry.

The application, also known as Store Formula 3, uses a procedure that is unique to it.

Store Formula’s strategy entails collaborating with commerce headquarters and using dropshipping. It combined the two to form a self-contained dropshipping system for your store.

It’s ideal for someone just getting started in e-commerce and who wants to generate money full-time.

And, with a high failure rate in dropshipping, can this program produce for someone who has no experience or history in the field?

However, I gotta mention that its coverage of traffic sources is quite limited. It would have been more beneficial if they had included more information.

Who Is Jon Mac?

Jon Mac Founder Of Store Formula

Jon Mac is the creator of various online courses, publications, and platforms and a successful marketing strategist, mentor, motivational speaker, and entrepreneur. Some of them include Store Formula, Formula, and CommerceHQ.

He states that he’s doing this because he wants to contribute to the success of his students – sort of like paying it forward.

However, that could be a promotional technique to entice new subscribers.

Jon Mac also has a relatively small following on Facebook, YouTube, and other social media platforms and channels, which I find strange. Most dropshipping course designers have a sizable social media following, which boosts their reputation and authenticity in the eyes of potential customers.

What’s Included In Store Formula 3?

Store Formula 3 - Other Name For Store Formula

Store Formula, also known as Store Formula 3, is an online course that teaches you how to use dropshipping and CommerceHQ (which Jon Mac co-founded) to make money from your online store.

Jon Mac is attempting to compete with Shopify using his Commerce HQ platform.

The training will be via media, including Ultra HD films, webinars, mp3 recordings, and transcripts.

It’s crucial to note that, as I previously stated, this course focuses on dropshipping and assumes that dropshipping takes place only within the United States.

What To Expect In This Course

Get Access To CommerceHQ By Joining Store Formula

Store Formula is a step-by-step video tutorial on drop shipping that is a 4-week course framework, with 53 videos totaling 9 hours and 17 minutes.

Store Formula Jon Mac is ideal for those who are new to eCommerce. It offers to assist you in starting from the ground up with your online store.

The strategy is laid out in a step-by-step format, which I think is ideal for someone new to dropshipping.

What’s impressive about its design and structure is that it can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection, whether on a mobile device or a desktop computer. More importantly, it is being updated regularly, which is critical when running an internet business.

When you join Store Formula, you’ll also get access to CommerceHQ, another course by Jon Mac that seeks to emulate Shopify’s functions.

This Is What Store Formula Claims To Offer You:

There are thousands of successful pupils, 32 millionaires, and 256 six-figure incomes in this class. My main goal is to produce as many successful students as possible with this curriculum. I go to great lengths to provide my students with the tools they need to succeed in eCommerce.

Breakdown Of The Modules

Store Formula has a total of 53 video modules, all in Ultra HD, with a viewing time of exactly 9 hours and 17 minutes.

Welcome

Store Formula's Quick Introduction

Total Video Length : 8 minutes and 58 seconds

The Welcome video gives you an overview of the course and what to expect throughout the program.

Jon Mac also gives a quick introduction, stating that he built the course for these two:

For persons who have no prior experience with eCommerce, as well as those who already have an eCommerce business but want to boost their game.

Week 1: Build

CommerceHQ - Jon Mac's Shopify Alternative

Total Video Length: 2 hours & 37 minutes (10 modules)

Week 1 is all about getting you in the “correct attitude” and getting your Commerce HQ stores up and running rapidly.

If you want to succeed in eCommerce, you need to have the right mindset. This covers what goes wrong most of the time, what’s lacking, and how much of a mind game it is to develop a successful business.

Commerce HQ, Jon Mac’s Shopify alternative, has everything you need to set up an online store with solid conversion rates.

You can choose from various apps and themes, and you can set up up to six online storefronts for an entire year.

He recommends starting with a general store and then learning how to add winning products to Commerce HQ once you’ve found them. You’ll also learn how to create niche stores as time goes on.

Commerce HQ is a straightforward tool that anyone, including newcomers, can use. It’s so simple to set up that you may have it up and running in as little as 24 hours — sometimes even less!

As one may assume, several concerns revolve around the Shopify and Commerce HQ systems here. The latter, presumably, will be more streamlined than Shopify.

If you run into any problems, Jon Mac Store Formula has a good support crew that responds to your concerns using their email client help system.

However, you should anticipate that most of the lessons will focus on developing the correct mindset. This is expected, given that Jon Mac is a business coach.

As a result, he teaches his students the following “equation”:

Current Situation + Daily Execution x Time Invested = Your Dream Life.

Week 2: Select

Right Product Price = Great Profit

Total Video Length: 2 hours & 17 minutes (14 modules)

As the title suggests, week 2 is all about identifying the winning products for your Commerce HQ store.

Jon Mac believes that reinventing the wheel is dangerous; therefore, he advises sticking with tried-and-true products. He demonstrates how to find them using Facebook feeds in this video.

Furthermore, Mac Store Formula employs proprietary software that allows you to browse all active Facebook advertising. This makes spotting winning products a breeze.

He also emphasizes that with only one product per store, you can make six figures every month.

Profit margin and product pricing are two more significant aspects he discusses here.

Week 3: Launch

Facebook Ads Costs Are Expensive So Use It Efficiently

Total Video Length: 1 hour & 55 minutes (11 modules)

The third week of Store Formula is all about Facebook Ads.

According to Jon Mac, Facebook is critical for swiftly growing your eCommerce business, and they claim to have unlocked the code on how to use Facebook Ads efficiently. And if you aren’t aware of this, you will be losing a lot of money.

This lesson will lead you through the steps of setting up and running successful ad campaigns using Jon Mac’s methodology. You’ll learn how to set up your Facebook Business Manager, as well as your ad account and advertising.

Week 4: Outsource

Find Someone Who Will Work For You

Total Video Length: 1 hour & 29 minutes

Outsourcing is the focus of Week 4.

Jon Mac emphasizes the significance of assembling your team to achieve your “dream lifestyle.” After all, this is where you should be at this point in your business.

Your internet store can run smoothly with the help of a team without you having to micromanage the operations.

You get more time by doing so. And having extra time allows you to focus on other things you wish to accomplish or pursue.

He suggests hiring employees for the following jobs:

  • In terms of customer service
  • For launching advertisements
  • To manage projects

The issue here is that he isn’t unequivocal on implementing these proposals. If the pupils are novices, they will require more specific assistance than simply talking about it.

I can think of a dozen other things he could have said in this spot.

Bonus: 5 Modules

Total Video Length: 48 minutes

I recently had the opportunity to attend five Jon Mac Q&A sessions.

These modules appeal to me in the following ways:

  • Jon Mac will personally answer any questions you may have about the course.
  • He picks pupils at random and places them in “hot seats” where they can speak with him directly.
  • Because all sessions are recorded, watching them later them isn’t a problem.

Can You Make Money From Store Formula?

Wanted To Become A Dropshipper Put More Effort

It appears to be based on the student success stories and testimonials seen on their website.

But we all know that we can’t be entirely sure of these testimonials because there’s no way to tell if they’ve been tampered with.

Then there’s the possibility that it’s a part of the CommerceHQ affiliate program or all other courses or programs by Jon Mac, like Jon Mac Ad Agency.

I believe the course is well-structured and will keep you busy for the entire week.

However, I do not believe the content is worth the cost, because the course is not complete enough to help you build a successful dropshipping business. Things do get a little better with the extras and other help you get from the team, though. CommerceHQ is worth $299 a month on its own.

So, as I said, it’s entirely up to you whether you want to try and take a chance on a business strategy that, in my opinion, isn’t the best for the current time.

Dropshipping can undoubtedly make money, but if you’re going to put in the effort to become a dropshipper (which isn’t simple), you might as well make some real money.

Some of the same dropshipping techniques are taught in the curriculum that helped me grow my online business to $50,000+ per month, but it shows you how to monetize them in a much, much more successful way.

Is Jon Mac A Scam? Why Don’t I Recommend Store Formula?

Jon Mac Technically Not A Scam

So, time for the question you’ve been waiting for: is Store Formula a scam?

No, not technically speaking. They aren’t going to take your money and ride off into the sunset without delivering you access to their course.

It’s 100% possible to make money with this program, but it’s not nearly as simple as Jon Mac wants you to think it is.

There is A LOT of upfront work to do, and no guarantee of success.

Don’t get me wrong – I’m all for doing hard work now so that I can collect checks in the future.

But if I’m going to spend 3 months of my life working super hard & spending thousands of dollars, just to break even… it’s just not worth it (in my opinion).

Think about it: what if you worked that same 3 months with just an hour or two per day, and in return you could collect a $500-$2,000 check that continues to come in every month?

Even better, what if you could actually get that first check in as little as a week?

And what if you could double or triple it over the next month or two?

That’s what you get when you use the Digital Rental Method.

Did Store Formula Make The List?

All you really need is a laptop and some internet.

Some of my friends are Digital Rental Method that run their 6-figure businesses from:

  • Camping trips at national parks
  • Beachfront in Hawaii
  • On the road in a camper-van (with a pet pig!)

They focus on living an enjoyable life first, and focus on income second. All thanks to this program

They can take weeks or months off, and money keeps rolling in.

Living happily is the top priority.

If the thought of living perpetually at your dream vacation spot interests you, being a Digital Landlord might be for you!

Are There Any Alternatives To Store Formula?

Not Sure About Store Formula Below Are The Alternatives.

Yes, there are plenty of Dropshipping programs and resources to choose from if you want to pursue this business model. I just don’t recommend the model itself.

What Is My #1 Recommendation For Making Money Online In 2024?

Digital Landlord - Your Key To Online Success

I’ve personally tried all of the major online business models:

  • I’ve drop-shipped a toilet-bowl putting green on Shopify
  • I’ve drop-shipped jade rollers via Clickfunnels
  • I’ve sold fidget spinners through Amazon FBA
  • I’ve sold women’s health supplements via Clickbank affiliate marketing

And I made money with all of them, so trust me when I say: there is no “perfect” business model.

That being said, my #1 recommendation for making real money online is, hands-down: being a Digital Landlord.

Whether you’re a complete newbie, or you’ve been around the block before but have never had that “big win” to propel you forward, using the Digital Rental Method is for you.

Why?

1.Time: If you’ve got a spare hour-or-two each day, you can do this. If you want to drop everything and go all-in, you can do this. More time obviously means faster results, but even putting in a few hours per day is enough to see real success.

And because of that flexibility, you don’t need to trade your time for money. Once the income starts, it’s recurring.

That means you can take a month off, travel the country, pursue a passion project, chill on the beach, or charter a boat across the world.

But you can only do that once you’ve created an income stream that doesn’t require YOU to be there all day, every day.

2.Ownership & Control: With dropshipping, you don’t actually own anything. You can’t control your product quality, or even what the package looks like when it shows up.

Technically you own your Shopify site… but ad platforms could shut you down on a moment’s notice… so you don’t really have much control there.

Why pour your soul into a business that could be taken away from you at the drop of a dime?

With the Digital Rental Method, you literally own all of the assets, which means you have ultimate control.

3.Fulfillment: Alright, so you don’t have any inventory… but that worry has been replaced with the pains of overseas fulfillment.

That means your customer is going to have to wait 3-4 weeks to receive their order.

Then add in the current global supply chain woes… and you’re looking at 5-6-7 weeks!

Then the customer slaps you with a refund, and all of that time spent testing and spending money on ads was for nothing.

You don’t have to worry about any of that when you’re renting out digital properties.

4.It’s Effectively Copy-Paste: Here’s my favorite part: once you have your first Digital Rental Property up, you can literally copy-paste another version of it and find another willing “renter” in a few days. DOUBLING your income doesn’t get much easier than that…

If you wanted to double your income with dropshipping, you would need to sell twice as much inventory, or double your profit margins. And I can guarantee you (from my shopify dropshipping days), that’s a lot harder than a few clicks & a phone call.

5.Big Margins: With dropshipping, you’re often going to have really slim margins. That means you need to hit a serious scale to make serious money. This usually entails spending A LOT of money on ads and other methods for growing traffic to your product.

using the Digital Rental Method, your profit margin is nearly 100%. Watch here to learn how.

Just a reminder: these Digital Rental Properties are worth (at a minimum) $500/mo in semi-passive income. And each time you create another one, your income increases, and the effort put into creating the next property decreases.

Best case scenario, you have properties bringing in over $3,000+/mo on auto-pilot.

6.You’re Helping REAL People: My biggest gripe with dropshipping is that you’re usually finding some product that’s complete garbage, and are tricking people into buying it. It provides no real value to them, or to the world in general.

It’s cool in the short term to make a quick buck, but in the long-term, it gets really old, really fast.

But With the Digital Rental Method, you’re helping solve REAL problems that people are ASKING for help with.

Small local businesses around the world need one thing: customers. Without them, their business would fall apart. If we can provide those customers, they’re going to be really happy – and they’re going to pay you for it.

You’re helping a struggling mother or father put FOOD on the table for their families, put their kids through college, or simply live life a little bit more comfortably.

Having this type of impact on the world is what will help you sleep soundly at night.

So, the rest is up to you. You could keep looking at other dropshipping programs like Store Formula, which might make you money 12 months from now.

You could keep researching and researching for the next few months (or few years), never making a concrete decision.

OR, you can look deep inside, think about those dreams, hopes, & desires, and make the decision to ACTUALLY make it happen, just like it has for thousands of other students before you.

Making a fortune while actually helping real people that need it.

If this sounds like you, click here to see how it all works.
