Who Is Holly Stark?
Holly Stark, also known as Holly Stark Cooper, now resides in the chilly state of Wisconsin. She claims she’s well-known for YouTube and general backlink spamming. Twelve years ago, she had two children with her husband, who worked for General Motors and had a very good income. Consequently, Holly was not required to work and became a stay-at-home mom.
However, after getting divorced from her spouse, she found employment as a data entry clerk at an insurance business and was clueless. The hourly rate was about $7. Since she couldn’t afford to support her family and even pay the rent at just $7 an hour, she looked elsewhere for work and eventually found a job. Outside of online marketing, her best pay was about $8 per call to a bank for RateWatch.
So, before beginning a career in internet marketing, she probably worked about four other jobs. And on her journey, she first pondered the possibility of making money online. Her desire to return to her home and work life was mostly motivated by the fact that she had just married again, and the couple’s four children would be spread across three different schools in the next academic year. They couldn’t have gotten the kids to school and then gone to work.
She had to find out how to be a stay-at-home parent while still making money. So she worked at RateWatch for eight hours a day, then she would come home and research ways to earn money online. And she proceeded to forums, where she had no clue what she was doing. That’s when she decided to launch her online course and her profitable YouTube channel.

The Dallas Morning News has filed a lawsuit against the website’s creator because the latter stole content from the DMN. The newspaper is suing website developer and self-proclaimed “SEO queen” Holly Starks for alleged copyright violations, with damages and injunctive relief being the stated goals of the suit.
To make a living, she runs a network of news-related websites under the name “Holly’s News Network,” including dallasnews.com, chicagonews.com, phoenixnews.com, and neworleansnews.com, among others.
Her websites steal content from other sources like CultureMap. However, the content is subtly modified using online translation tools. In a February 2021 YouTube interview, she claimed that she researched and built websites for the United States’ top 100 cities.
Part of what annoys the newspaper in the lawsuit is her disregard for their overtures and her boasting about her techniques. Instead of complying, Starks moved the websites to hosting services that violate the rule of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
The court case was later dismissed with prejudice, and a statement was issued stating that the defendants, Holly Starks and her company, have now agreed to remove all copies of Dallas Morning News content from their websites, as well as not reproduce or distribute Dallas Morning News content without a license in the future. This lawsuit is certainly not fake news.
