They offer a complete solution that, up until about 2016, seemed to work.
The majority of their successful students today seem to be generating the most of their affiliate income by encouraging people to sign up with Wealthy Affiliate.
In this Kyle Loudon review, I’m going to go deep into the upsides and downsides of the program.
But before I can say Wealthy Affiliate is good, I have to ask a very important question: is affiliate marketing even worth it?
Like other affiliate programs, we get pitched an ultimate dream…
Run an amazingly profitable business where you don’t have to worry about anything – no products, no inventory, no shipping, no customer service.
The only thing you need to worry about is putting this product in front of someone that wants to buy it, and the rest is money in the bank.
The best part?
“You can do it from anywhere in the world!”
Sounds pretty great… but is it?
It is 100% possible to make money with affiliate marketing – the real question is: is Kyle Wealthy Affiliate the best affiliate marketing program out there?
Well, the most difficult (and therefore most valuable) skill in the internet business is driving traffic AKA getting people to visit a website.
Later on, I’ll talk about why it’s so difficult to drive quality traffic.
But for now, let’s just say it isn’t exactly an easy process (unless you have a proven traffic source for the exact product you’re trying to sell).
If you break it down, is affiliate marketing much different from a 9-5 job? You work for someone else, sell their stuff, and they can fire you at any time.
You don’t really control anything, despite doing the most important part – driving traffic.
To be 100% clear, I’m not saying affiliate marketing won’t work. If you’ve followed my blog for long, you’ll know that I’ve made money myself as an affiliate marketer (selling women’s health products).
I have several friends that make over $20,000/mo as affiliate marketers.
What you don’t hear about is the $200,000 they had to invest UP-FRONT to start making that money.
But let’s suppose that you REALLY want to work that laptop-entrepreneur lifestyle.

Canadian businessmen Carson and Kyle own Wealthy Affiliate. Since 2005, they have operated a joint company named “Niche Marketing Inc.”
As of now, Kyle and Carson have increased the membership of WA to over 1.4 million, making it one of the most successful affiliate marketing programs worldwide!
You’ve most likely heard of Wealthy Affiliate if you’ve spent any time online.
Because it’s so popular, you’ve probably wondered whether Wealthy Affiliate is legit or a scam. In fact, there are many who promote Wealthy Affiliate; it’s hard to distinguish the real reviews.
Who Is Kyle Loudon?
Kyle leads the operation. He is the brand’s main trainer and face of its online business presence.
As far as I can tell, he seems like a good guy who really wants to help people.
Because he’s skilled in marketing, he has previously had success as an affiliate marketer.
I really enjoy how he speaks in his videos as well: calm, collected, and straightforward. There aren’t many wasted words like “ummmm.”
Again, I’m sure Kyle was doing well as an affiliate marketer when he first started. Then it exploded. Now he maintains his basic training videos, has Jay perform webinars to keep members up to date, and spends his money at Monaco nightclubs.
How Does Wealthy Affiliate Work?
The training offered by Wealthy Affiliate is essentially a membership and coaching business. You must pay a monthly subscription to obtain comprehensive training in the field of affiliate marketing.
After enrolling in the program, you will receive a brief orientation.
In addition to teaching you how to use the system, Wealthy Affiliate also shows you how to build your first affiliate sites and make money from them.
Should You Join Wealthy Affiliate?
You have to answer that question for yourself.
I’ve spent more than 60 hours exploring every inch of the Wealthy Affiliate program.
In all honesty, I cannot recommend the course to anyone. I’ll be honest and say that I don’t think there is much likelihood of success with only promoting Wealthy Affiliate.
The training hasn’t been updated in a while. Thus a lot of material is no longer useful.
They should also be able to send screenshots of Wealthy Affiliate success stories that are more recent than five years old.
Unless there hasn’t been any successful affiliate marketer with it in the last five years?
How Much Does Wealthy Affiliate Cost?
So, how much does the world’s most popular affiliate marketing course cost?
There are, in fact, two alternatives, according to the Wealthy Affiliate website:
Yes, there is a completely free option in joining Wealthy Affiliate.
There are no strings attached!
However, the training you receive is restricted (although up to date).
However, you will only have access to the group for 7 days…
This class does not provide nearly enough information to get you started in any manner.
It’s basically giving you just enough to make you cave in anticipation and buy premium.
WA Premium Subscription
The first month of the premium membership in the Wealthy Affiliate members costs $19, and each subsequent month is $49 more.
But!
It will cost about $30 per month if you pay for the entire year.
So, saving an extra $19 per month certainly doesn’t hurt if you want to participate in the program and sign up as a Wealthy Affiliate member.
Are There Alternatives To Kyle Loudon?
Yes, there are plenty of Affiliate Marketing programs and resources to choose from if you want to pursue this business model. Here are just a few:
Is Kyle Loudon A Scammer?
So, time for the $1,000,000 question – is Kyle Loudon a scammer?
No, it’s not a “scam,” technically speaking. They aren’t going to collect your payment and then ride off into the sunset without delivering you a program.
You can make money with this program. My only gripe is that making money with affiliate marketing is NOT NEARLY as easy as Kyle Loudon wants you to think it is.
As I’ve said earlier, the most important part of doing affiliate marketing right is driving traffic. That means being good at:
- Writing ads that sell
- Running ads on Google
- Running ads on Facebook
- Writing website blogs
- Ranking websites
- Converting users that land on your site
- Email marketing
And a whole lot more.
If you’re going to spend time learning those skills, why not do it in a way that makes YOU all the money – instead of someone else?
There’s just a lot of work to be done here, and no real guarantee of success (not to mention commissions can be small).
Don’t get me wrong – I’m ALL FOR doing the hard work now, so that you can reap the benefits later.
But if you’re going to hit something super hard for 3-6 months, and your reward is barely enough money for a tank of gas… it’s just not worth it (in my opinion).
Again, I’m not saying it won’t work – I’ve personally made money with it, as have many of my friends.
I’m just saying it’s a situation where the stars need to kind of align for you in a perfect way.
And you shouldn’t be in the business of leaving your fate up to the stars…
But what if instead of all that, you could work those same 3-6 months, and generate a handful of checks that generated you $500-$2,000 EACH, every single month (almost on autopilot)?
And what if you learned it from someone who has already mastered the ability to drive traffic profitably?
Better yet, what if you could see your first payment in one week, not 3 months?
And what if you could double or triple that income within the next month or two?
