Sure, there are many ways to make money online.
But which one is best for you?
How do you find your niche?
Let’s review one of the most interesting online programs out there today.
I’m going to review Income School to decide if it really is the best blogging and affiliate marketing course out there.
I’ll discuss whether affiliate marketing is the right online business for you.
Income School teaches you an online business model known as “lead generation.” In my personal opinion, this is probably the top business model out there.
While Income School has its merits, it’s NOT my top recommendation if you’re interested in Lead Generation.
My top program in the lead generation category is going to be Josh Osborne & Sean Kochel’s Digital Landlords program.
There’s a good way and a bad way to run a lead generation business.
The bad way is using outdated SEO tactics and sketchy “black-hat” Google My Business listings to send phone calls to local businesses.
This method leaves you at the mercy of Google’s search algorithm updates, which has a history of ruining lead generation empires in a single day.
I have friends that have gone from $50K/mo in passive income down to nearly $0 because their listings got suspended (and they never got them back!)
Every guru out there has “their secret method” to ensure Google doesn’t slap you down with a huge penalty. Well, I say good luck fighting a $200 billion per year tech giant.
The BEST way to do lead generation is by building assets that YOU own while playing by the rules and giving companies like Google and Facebook what they desire most – relevancy.
In this model, you build high-converting digital assets (like a landing page) and push high-quality customers through them. You then flip these customers to a client willing to take them and charge a fee for making the connection.
You’re kind of like a… lead dealer.
If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know that I recommend this lead generation program, because it helps my boyfriend and I make over $20,000/mo on autopilot.
The cool part is that it shows you pretty much exactly what to do to create a recurring revenue stream, that can bring you in anywhere from a few thousand to $10,000+ per month.
I really like how you can build it with only an hour or two each day, and you can grow it as big (or small) as you want to.
If that sounds interesting to you, check out the Digital Landlord program here
That being said, let’s continue to the Income School review.
Income School Project 24 Review – Still Legit In 2022?
If you’ve heard anything about niche sites, you’ll be interested in Income School’s case studies. Ricky and Jim, the creators, have established 12 specialized sites, all of which are passive income sources.
Their Website Portfolio
The Income School specialized websites fall into three categories: issues, passion, and lifestyle.
- Soundproofexpert.com – A site about sound equipment
- PontoonGuide.com – A boating site
- Knifeup.com – A site on knives and camping survival
- Camperreport.com – A site on RVs & camping
- Cabinfreedom.com – A site on outdoors and cabins
- Improvephotography.com – A site on photography
- DirtBikePlanet.com – A site on dirtbikes and offroading
- DIYHouseSecurity.com – A site on home security systems.
- LifestyleIncomeSchool.com – Their site where they teach others the way to launch a niche site portfolio.
- PurposeinChrist.com – A site just where they inform others about Christian Lifestyle.
Niche Site Training
The Income School’s Project 24 program teaches you how to build a niche site that can provide a consistent income in 24 months. Naturally, they don’t promise that you will earn your money in 24 months, even though it’s the major goal, and also because of their experiences, they believe their strategies will work for other people in this period.
Ricky and Jim also provide personal coaching services, where you can sit down with one or both of them to look through your niche website project and get their suggestions on how you can improve to get the results you want.
Income School also hosts events in Idaho for in-person instruction on specialty website construction and growth.
What Is Income School By Jim And Ricky?
Income School is a company founded by two internet gurus, Ricky Kesler and Jim Harmer, that offers intensive training programs to anyone seeking financial independence by earning money online. Income School promises to be able to teach you e-mail advertising, content creation, affiliate marketing business, advertising, blogging, affiliate links, search engine optimization (SEO), or e-commerce, and mechanics of doing search analysis, among other things.
The Project 24 course is among the training courses that Income School provides. If you want to generate income online through blogging or creating passive niche/authority websites, this is the best program. The program was created to walk you through every step of making two major kinds of websites to assist you in developing a full-time online company in just 24 months:
- An authority site
- A niche site
The system consists of 60-steps presented in 123 lessons. The instructions are geared to educate you on the following:
- The best way to be an online entrepreneur
- Choosing a niche for your successful online business
- How to create a WordPress site and write blog posts
- How you can produce search engine optimized content that ranks over the first page of the search engine results
- How you can generate visitors to your website and turn it into an income
- How you can select affiliate programs and offers applicable to your niche
The program is very easy to follow. All are straightforward, and by the end of the course, you will grow from a complete newbie to a refined, full-time online entrepreneur making good money from affiliate marketing business and blogging.
Who Is Jim Harmer And Ricky Kesler?
Jim Harmer and Ricky Kesler are both from Idaho, USA. They both started producing niche websites in 2010, introducing Income School in 2015.
Some things about Jim:
- In 2010, he went to Florida for law school with his wife and 2-week-old son.
- He was broke at the time.
- Jim started ImprovePhotography.com shortly after, which became hugely successful.
- Jim casually brings up in his e-mail list that his niche websites made him a millionaire.
You can read much more about Jim on the Income School site.
Some things about Ricky:
- He has an MBA and an engineering degree.
- He is a father of four.
- According to his LinkedIn profile, Ricky functioned as a project and category manager at Hewlett Packard for a few years before going full-time with Income School.
Both Ricky and Jim are already invited to speak at seminars like WordCamp and FinCon, together with Ramit Sethi, Nathan Barry, Sharon Epperson, and JD Roth.
How Is Income School Different?
Income School teaches and implements a novel strategy for establishing specialty websites, which is often criticized. Regardless, Rick and Jim have had a lot of success with their sites, and their mentees look to be following in their footsteps.
Maybe the two most important things Income School does differently are:
No keyword tools
According to Ricky and Jim, premium keyword tools like SEMrush and Ahrefs are so inaccurate that they are practically useless.
No link building
Ricky and Jim also appear to consider some types of “active link building” a spammy process that boosts the danger of your website being penalized by Google.
Here are three additional things about Income School which tend to raise eyebrows:
They have built many successful sites
Some people could criticize Income School’s method, though they cannot refute their results. Ricky and Jim have clearly made many profitable niche websites over the years.
They show their sites
Most affiliates would rather keep their sites secret for fear of making competition. In comparison, Income School has shown many of its websites they use.
Famous on Youtube
Jim and Ricky have developed a significant audience on YouTube, amassing millions of views and becoming among one of the platform’s most well-liked affiliate marketing channels.
The Verdict: The Good & The Bad
The two have reported the site allows them to make seven figures yearly.
Income School’s Project 24 packs a heap of value within their program, and in case you are able to comply with the steps, 24 months later, you could possess a passive income stream that’s working in your favor.
Clearly, almost nothing happens instantaneously, and you need to thoroughly research any course which demands some time and monetary investment.
But let’s go back and attempt to answer the primary questions we asked ourselves at the start of the review:
- Is the program better compared to many other blog-building programs out there?
- Does the course provide what it claims?
- Is Income School legit?
- Most of all, how much does the program cost? And is it well worth it?
The degree of knowledge available in the bundle of programs offered by Project 24 is excellent.
You can actually emerge on the other side with a good site that does provide you some passive income.
How much is entirely up to you, but it over-delivers in terms of what it provides.
There’s virtually too much material that might sidetrack those experiencing shiny object syndrome, but getting all these courses and an active Facebook group points you towards a beneficial experience in internet marketing.
These guys aren’t scammers.
They’ve been doing this for nearly two decades, earn seven-figure income from their websites alone, and one continues to be recognized as among the best 40 photographers in the world because of his blog.
That says a lot.
Whether you do well or fall short will depend more on the niche you pick, how you apply your writing and what affiliate marketing products you choose to sell.
The 60-step procedure is a good way for you to begin a successful website since you are handheld by J&R, but soon after, you’re on your own, which is the heart of the issue.
It’s similar to training wheels.
Like in every enterprise, you reap everything you sow.
The affiliate advertising program will cost you $449 for that first year and $199 for all following years to be a member of the FB group and participate in all-new classes, which are included for free.
If that’s what you want, then that’s a heck of a deal.
Can You Make Money With Income School?
Yes, it will teach you invaluable lessons on building niche websites.
But there’s a lot that comes along with affiliate marketing that many people struggle with.
In fact, check out my Top 5 Reason Why Affiliate Marketers Fail.
Now, don’t get me wrong…
You can certainly make money with affiliate marketing, but if you’re gonna put in the amount of grueling work to become an affiliate marketer (which, trust me, isn’t easy), you might as well bring in some REAL money.
The program that helped skyrocket my online business to $40,000+ per month teaches some of the same affiliate marketing skills but shows you how to monetize them in a much, MUCH more profitable way.
Is Income School Legit?
Yes, Income School is legit.
But, when it comes to building a business, you have plenty of options.
And even if you’re dead set on becoming an affiliate marketer, you’ve got way better options than Income School.
Keep in mind that I don’t get paid to promote any of the programs I review. I personally think affiliate marketing is a great business model, but you could end up leaving way too much money on the table.
Is Income School A Scam?
Alright, time for the $1,000,000 question: is Income School actually a scam?
No, it’s not a scam, technically speaking. They aren’t going to take your money and run off, leaving you empty-handed. It’s actually a halfway decent lead generation course.
It’s just not my top choice.
The Digital Landlords program is unique. They give you over 30 proven templates (ad copy, targeting, keywords, exact landing pages, etc.) so that you can hit the ground running.
The people that run the program actually have an agency that does 7-figures per year, which is a major advantage over most other lead generation courses.
Think about it: what if you could put in a few hours of work each day (whenever you feel like it), and you were rewarded with a recurring $500-$2,000 payment for each site you put up?
And what if it only took you a week or two to get that first payment?
And what if you could double or triple that payment over the following month or two?
That’s what you get when you’re a Digital Landlord.
All you really need is a laptop and some internet.
Some of my friends are Digital Landlords that run their 6-figure businesses from:
- Camping trips at national parks
- Beachfront in Hawaii
- On the road in a camper van (with a pet pig!)
They focus on living an enjoyable life first, and focus on income second. All thanks to this program.
They can take weeks or months off, and money keeps rolling in.
Living happily is the top priority.
If the thought of living perpetually at your dream vacation spot interests you, being a Digital Landlord might be for you!
What Is My Top Recommendation For Making Money Online In 2022?
I’ve personally tried all of the major online business models:
- I have an actual lead generation business
- I’ve sold fidget spinners through Amazon FBA
- I’ve drop-shipped a toilet bowl putting green on Shopify (pic below)
- I’ve sold women’s health supplements via Clickbank affiliate marketing
And I made money with all of them, so trust me when I say: there is no “perfect” business model.
That being said, my #1 recommendation for making real money online is, hands-down: being a Digital Landlord
Whether you’re a complete newbie or have been around the block before but have never had that “big win” to propel you forward, becoming a Digital Landlord is for you.
1)Time commitment: You can do this even if you only have an hour or two per day. Even if you want to drop everything and commit fully, that works too.
You don’t have to be constantly working to make money. The income you generate is recurring.
Imagine taking off for a month to places like Hawaii, Paris, National Parks, & other spots people only dream about – all while collecting dozens of little $500-$2,000 checks. It’s like a dream come true.
But it’s only possible to do it when you’ve separated your income from your time.
2) Complete control: You completely control everything, which means no one can take your business away from you. This is a huge difference from other lead generation models, where Google can end you at the snap of a finger.
3) It’s Effectively Copy-Paste: Here’s my favorite part: once you have your first Digital Rental Property up, you can literally copy-paste another version of it and find another willing “renter” in a few days. DOUBLING your income doesn’t get much easier than that…
4) Great Margins:
Being a Digital Landlord, your profit margin is nearly 100%. Watch here to learn how.
Just a reminder: these Digital Rental Properties are worth (at a minimum) $500/mo in semi-passive income. And each time you create another one, your income increases, and the effort put into creating the next property decreases.
Best-case scenario, you have properties bringing in over $3,000+/mo on auto-pilot.
5) You’re Helping REAL People: When you’re a Digital Landlord, you’re helping solve REAL problems that people are ASKING for help with:
Small local businesses around the world need one thing: customers. Without them, their business would fall apart. If you can provide those customers, they’re going to be really happy – and they’re going to pay you for it.
You’re helping a struggling mother or father put food on the table for their families, put their kids through college, or simply live life a little bit more comfortably.
Having this type of impact on the world is what will help you sleep soundly at night.
So, the rest is up to you. You could keep looking at other lead generation programs like Income School, which might work out.
You could keep researching and researching for the next few months (or few years), never making a concrete decision.
OR, you can look deep inside, think about those dreams, hopes, & desires, and make the decision to ACTUALLY make it happen, just like it has for thousands of other students before you.
Making a fortune while actually helping real people that need it.
