“Local lead generation” is the business strategy that Ippei Kanehara has adopted to bring in new clients for local companies.

Local lead generation by Ippei Kanehara and Dan Klein, which covers the business model in depth from A to Z, is something I looked at a little more deeply.f

Dan Klein’s former student, Ippei Kanehara, is now somewhat of a guru himself. He helps run the lead generation training and coaching program, and he partnered with Ippei some time ago.

I’ve noticed that trustworthy and easy-to-understand information about this topic has been scarce on the internet. So I decided to write this review.

But before I say anything else…

Ippei Kanehara teaches you an online business model known as “lead generation.” In my personal opinion, this is probably the top business model out there.

While Ippei Kanehara has its merits, it is NOT my top recommendation if you’re interested in Lead Generation.

My top program in the lead generation category is going to be Josh Osborne & Sean Kochel’s Digital Rental Method progfleadram.

The thing is: there’s a good way and a bad way to run a lead generation business.

The bad way is using outdated SEO tactics and sketchy “black-hat” Google My Business listings to send phone calls to local businesses.

This leaves you at the mercy of Google’s search algorithm updates, which has a history of ruining lead generation empires in a single day.

I have friends who have gone from $50K/mo in passive income to nearly $0 because their listings got suspended (and they never got them back)!

Every guru out there has “their secret method” to “ensure” Google doesn’t slap you down with a huge penalty. Well, I say good luck fighting a $200 billion-per-year tech giant.

The good way to do lead generation is building assets that YOU own while playing by the rules and giving companies like Google and Facebook what they desire most – relevancy.

In this model, you build high-converting digital assets (like a landing page) and push high-quality customers through them. You then flip these customers to a client willing to take them and charge a fee for making the connection.

You’re kind of like a… lead dealer.

If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know that I recommend this lead generation program, because it helps my boyfriend and I personally make over $20,000/mo on autopilot.

Who Is Ippei Kanehara?

Ippei (pronounced “E-Pay”) is Japanese from his name. At seven, he left his nation and emigrated to the United States.

He doesn’t stand out at all. At Michigan State University, he obtained an undergraduate degree before working at an auto parts company near his home.

He realized that he didn’t want to be constrained by the 9 to 5 grind. Aside from making money, he wants to control TIME, which is arguably the most valuable commodity in the world today.

To accomplish this, he attempted to use various internet marketing techniques. For example, he experimented with dropshipping via Amazon FBA, Facebook marketing, and more.

However, he did not learn about the lead generation business model until he met his mentor Dan Klein. Since then, this business model has seen more success than any other.

His motivation for offering this lead generation course is that he wants others to experience the same level of financial success. Is that the case?

How Does The Ippei Lead Generation Course Work?

As previously mentioned, Ippei Kanehara’s internet business approach is built on lead generation. This is a really basic idea.

To put it another way, you make money by bringing in new customers for local businesses.

Contrary to some other methods of generating leads, such as learning how to manage Facebook ads and SEO for other companies websites, the “Rank-And-Rent” method of lead generation is covered in this course.

It boils down to you creating a simple website and then “renting” it to small and local businesses in your niche so that they can get a higher ranking on Google.

How Does The “Rank And Rent” Method Work?

The term “digital real estate” is used in internet marketing lingo. Therefore I’ll give a real-world example to illustrate.

Assume you own a piece of land. A small business sees your location as a good fit for its needs and wants to rent it.

That’s all there is to it. When you allow a business to rent your space, the business owner will pay you a “rental fee” based on how long they will be in that location.

The “Rank-And-Rent” method functions similarly, but only in digital form. You create a website, generate leads by ranking high on Google searches, and sell those leads to other small businesses.

According to Ippei Kanehara, this lead generation method is the most profitable. On his website, he even displays his gross earnings.

Of course, for this to work, your website must be accessible to a large number of online users (thus, generating leads.).

Let’s return to the example of the land you own. To make it more appealing to any business owner, the location should be highly visible and accessible to people, particularly passers-by (AKA Traffic).

This means that, in terms of digital marketing, your website should be able to rank high in Google Searches to become more visible. Because this is the method by which you will generate leads.

Search Engine Optimization

This means that Ippei’s lead generation training relies on search engine optimization (SEO). “Local search engine optimization.”

Of course, it is also dependent on the niche in which you wish to establish your website. Your niche determines the keywords for which you’ll need to rank.

Assume your chosen niche is PC repairs in California; you’d want to rank for keywords like “computer repairs California,” “PC repairs California,” etc.

Ippei Kanehara’s lead generation course teaches two concepts that he claims will help you with your SEO. Two of these methods are…

• Intentional Backlink Outreach
• Creating Private Blog Networks

However, you should bear in mind that SEO is a dynamic field. Because Google algorithms are subject to change, one SEO strategy that works for you today may not work for you tomorrow.

And if you don’t quickly adapt to and learn about these changes, your website will almost certainly fall in their rankings.

Furthermore, one of my mentors once said, “SEO Is War.” Remember that you are not the only one competing for the top spot on Google SERP.

As a result, when you think about it, this business model isn’t as simple as “set and forget,” as most mentors claim.

Is Ippei Kanehara A Scam?

Alright, time for the $1,000,000 question: is Ippei Kanehara actually a scam?

No, it’s not a scam, technically speaking. They aren’t going to take your money and run off, leaving you empty-handed. It’s actually a halfway decent lead generation course.

It’s just not my top choice.

The Digital Rental Method program is unique. They give you over 30 proven templates (ad copy, targeting, keywords, exact landing pages, etc.) so that you can hit the ground running.

The people that run the program actually have an agency that does 7-figures per year, which is a major advantage over most other lead generation courses.

Think about it: what if you could put in a few hours of work each day (whenever you feel like it), and you were rewarded with a recurring $500-$2,000 payment for each site you put up?

And what if it only took you a week or two to get that first payment?

And what if you could double or triple that payment over the following month or two?

When you perform traditional SEO for a client, the problem is that once the results are obtained, the client can terminate the contract.

One of the most challenging aspects of traditional search engine optimization is keeping your digital marketing agency clients. It’s more than infuriating when you’ve spent so much time getting them to page one, only for them to abandon you.

This issue is addressed by the local lead generation model. If your client fails to pay you, you may begin sending leads to their competitor.

You will strike a deal with local businesses, and they will pay you a monthly fee for supplying them with leads monthly. Except for the initial contact with the business owner, you can automate this process to generate recurring passive income.

With ten clients and a $750 deal with one, your monthly income will be $7,500.

Clients can pay a monthly fee, a commission, or a fee based on the number of leads you generate.

• A fixed monthly payment is possibly the simplest method. When you provide the leads every month, you earn a recurring fixed fee that you have agreed upon.
• You can agree to earn a commission on every deal that the local business owner closes due to your provided leads. Consider the earning potential of this method if you earn, say, 10% on each sale they close.

My Perspectives On Ippei Kanehara’s Business Strategy

I’ll begin by saying this.

In general, generating leads is an effective business strategy.

There is no one-size-fits-all solution to getting your website to the top of Google’s search results.

If you’re competing with other internet marketers for a particular keyword in a local business, keep in mind that they are also competing with you. As a result, expect some competition in this field.

“SEO is war,” as I previously stated, continues to be the case. You’ll be demoted the moment you let your guard down, even for a split second. Also, all of the leads you worked so hard to obtain will dwindle.

In the lead generation industry, it’s not uncommon for people to produce large amounts of content almost daily, JUST to maintain their rankings.

Still, when you compare it to competition in the brick-and-mortar space…competition with lead gen is really like knocking out 3rd graders.

What Is My #1 Recommendation For Making Money Online In 2024?

I’ve personally tried all of the major online business models:

• I have an actual lead generation business
• I’ve sold fidget spinners through Amazon FBA
• I’ve drop-shipped a toilet bowl putting green on Shopify (pic below)
• I’ve sold women’s health supplements via Clickbank affiliate marketing

And I made money with all of them, so trust me when I say: there is no “perfect” business model.

That being said, my #1 recommendation for making real money online is, hands-down: being a Digital Landlord
