7k Metals Review (2023): Should You Commit To This MLM?

Updated On: November 21, 2023

,

Welcome to my 7k Metals review. My goal is to answer common questions like: how much it costs, if it's a scam, and if you can actually make money with it. The end goal is to help you understand if it's a good fit for you personally, and if there are any better alternatives out there.
7k Metals Review

This 7k Metals review has been throughly researched with information and testimonials that are available online to anyone in the public. Any conclusions drawn by myself are opinions.

Program At A Glance

What I liked
7k Metals offers a wide range of precious metals.
It's a BBB member in good standing.
It has a good management structure.
What I Didn’t Like
It has a yearly subscription fee.
They frequently run out of low-cost products.
Precious metals don't appeal to many.

You’re probably here because you’ve already heard about this one of those make money online schemes where you sell a group membership and have to sell a few products.

It’s pushed by almost every high-level member who only gets paid through the hard work of their downlines. Yep, that’s right.

It works similar to a pyramid scheme, but not because it’s illegal.

So, this is the reason I’m doing this review. To help you decide if MLM companies like 7k Metals are the right business opportunity for you.

MLMs like 7k Metals are a bit of a mixed bag. They CAN be a legitimate way to make money, but some have a reputation for literally ruining people’s lives – so it’s important to know what you’re getting since each one is unique.

Like most of my readers, you were probably introduced to this one via a friend or some influencer you trust online.

And it makes sense why so many people recommend them:

Making money outside of a 9-5 can be… life-changing, to say the least.

So in this article, I want to help you explore two things:

  1. If MLMs are actually a worthwhile business to pursue
  2. If 7k Metals is a worthwhile MLM

Before that, I want to clear the air on something.

There are A LOT of people out there who bash all MLMs in any form. I’m not one of those people.

Instead, I want to genuinely educate you about them so that you can make an informed decision on how to proceed.

If you’re unfamiliar with what MLMs actually do:

They’re businesses in which you pay money to a company for the ability to sell their products.

Sometimes the products are actually kind of decent (I still remember my mom throwing pampered-chef parties when I was younger).

Other times the products are really poorly made and come with a high price tag.

Typically, the only way to really make money is to get people (mostly friends & family) to sign up with you for a recurring subscription.

If the product is 100% legitimate & valuable, it’s entirely possible to get people to sign-up and continue paying you.

If the product is subpar, you’ll usually burn those bridges kinda quickly and end up with $0 coming in each month.

The biggest issue I’ve seen is that this puts significant stress on your personal relationships, as you’re reliant on selling to your “network.”

Think about it: if you KNEW that every time your friend Sally called, she’d be trying to sell you on one of her products… you’d eventually stop answering Sally’s calls.

Now, this doesn’t mean MLMs are outright bad… it means you need to know what type of MLM you’re getting yourself into before you sign up.

Again, some MLMs provide real value to people, but MOST don’t – and in this article, I’m going to explore the case with 7k Metals.

But before that, I want to ask you a question: what if there was a way to build actual recurring, semi-passive income?

Income that:

  • Doesn’t have inventory
  • Doesn’t make you sell to your friends & family
  • Doesn’t force you to recruit people onto your “team”

Something that you could make anywhere from $2,000 – $10,000 with consistently, month after month?

A stream of income that you can build as high (or low) as you feel like building it?

If that sounds interesting, you might want to think about using the Digital Rental Method.

If you wanna see what 7k Metals looks like on the inside, keep reading.

What Is 7K Metals?

MLM

7k Metals was created in 2016 by a group of Idaho network marketing entrepreneurs. These people use the MLM business model to sell memberships to people who want to buy gold and silver coins, bars, and bullion.

Having said that…

The company’s mission is to improve the lives of people worldwide significantly. 7K Metals is driven to provide people with the resources they need to build wealth and attain financial freedom through the use of gold, silver, and other precious metals.

The men that kicked things off are:

  • Zach Davis
  • Roger Ball
  • Richard Hansen
  • Josh Anderson

I’ll get to these gentlemen later…

They seek to provide the most affordable precious metals to their members by only charging them what these metals cost them. 7K obtains these precious metals, such as gold bars and silver, from the world’s major distribution outlets at the lowest possible price.

The 7K Metals Precious Metals Product Line

7k Metals sells the following products:

  • gold coins
  • Silver coins
  • platinum, silver, and gold bars

The pricing is as follows:

  • Gold coins – $162-1,945
  • Silver coins – $19-226
  • Platinum bars – $966/oz
  • Silver bars – $18.88/oz
  • Gold bars – $155/oz

A kilo of gold can cost $47,627.

You can also shop for jewelry at 7k Metals.

In addition, 7k Metals also has a deal with a leading private safe company to ensure your valuable items are safe.

There are some products on 7k Metals’ site that you can buy for a discount if you are a resident of the United States and have a membership plan.

Obviously, you need to know a lot of wealthy people who have the capacity to spend in order for you to make money.

I personally don’t think this is a sustainable long-term business strategy.

Who Are The Owners Of 7K Metals?

Founders of 7k Metals

As I’ve mentioned previously, 7k Metals’ owners are:

Zack Davis

Davis and Anderson have the most experience with MLM companies. Davis was exposed to network marketing in college and has since assisted many people in achieving their goals. He and Anderson have been running their own multi-level marketing business, Black Ink International, since 2011.

Roger Ball

Ball is a well-known entrepreneur. He was the founder and owner of JD Premium, which he sold in 2015. In 2012, he was also a part of a company called Paycation.

Richard Hansen

Hansen has 34 years of experience in network marketing and has collected and mined precious metals.

Josh Anderson

Anderson became interested in network marketing when he was 21 yrs old. Over 18,000 people joined him in his first year, and 9,000 joined him in his first four months with another MLM in 2008.

Anderson was soon made CEO, and he helped the organization grow to over 26,000 members.

He was CEO of JD Premium from 2009 to 2011, while Davis was the CMO. They mainly sold personal care and nutrition products.

Overall, the 7k Metals leadership is mostly on par.

The 7K Metals Compensation Plan

Binary Compensation Plan

The compensation plan at 7k Metals is referred to as “binary.” You make money by getting other people to join. Consider this compensation plan as an upside-down “V” with you at the very top. Members who sign up on your right side will be on your right, while those who sign up on your left will be on your left.

To figure out how much you’ve sold, 7k Metals uses a point system:

  • The associate either recruits new members or pays the $250 annual fee out of pocket (100 points)
  • The associate buys coins and has them automatically delivered (25 points)
  • You make money by purchasing coins from affiliates you have signed up for.
  • Only the smallest amount of sales is paid out by 7k Metals.
  • There are two commission plans based on your team sales.
  • If you have 500 points on both sides, you get $500 per week.
  • One thousand points equals $1000 per week.
  • Anything between 500 and 1,000 is reset the next week.

So, you have a week to reach 1,000 points, or you must restart.

Yup, you read that right.

It’s laid out in their compensation plan.

To receive a payout from 7k Metals, you must first fulfill specific targets:

  • You must have at least 25 points each month.
  • Recruit at least two new members each month with a minimum of 25 points.
  • Lastly, there’s a 5% match bonus for anyone who signs up.

Can You Make Money With 7K Metals?

For every 7k Metals product you sell, you’ll be paid out based on a restricted point system. This concerns me because you don’t make much money by selling the product. It’s almost as if this was done on purpose.

You’ll get 20 points for each sale you make, but you’ll need 500 points to get paid. Given this compensation plan, I can see how few, if any, people succeed in MLM.

In fact, almost 70-100% of MLM members lose money. Here you may find detailed statistics on the industry.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t locate any information about how much money 7k Metals members make, and the company has yet to disclose this.

I’m guessing that only a few people profit from the company.

Membership Fees

1. Members

All members must choose between the basic and premium membership options. The following is the pricing:

  • Basic Membership: $249 per year
  • Premium Membership: $449 per year

2. Travel Card

7k Metals will also require you to purchase a travel savings card. The following is the pricing:

  • Basic Membership: $250
  • Premium Membership: $500

This program allows you to get the best travel deals every month.

Is 7K Metals A Pyramid Scheme?

Is 7k Metals a Pyramid Scheme

7k Metals does not allow retail sales. That would be great if you could convince non-affiliated clients to acquire precious metals. But it isn’t the case here. You cannot purchase anything unless you’re a member.

As a result, it appears that the product is not their primary focus.

You must sign up new members in order to generate money with 7k Metals. My “pyramid scheme” flags are waving here.

A pyramid scheme is a business that entices you to join its program rather than sell its product.

However, because 7k Metals has real products, such as precious metals, they aren’t strictly a pyramid scheme.

In a technical sense!

You can check their BBB rating if you’re still in doubt.

Should You Join 7K Metals?

Should You Join 7k Metals

7k Metals is a network marketing company, so if that’s something you’re interested in, you should look into it further. But, if you’re familiar with MLM, this could be a good fit for you. Particularly for those who enjoy the idea of buying precious metals such as silver and gold.

On the other hand, if you aren’t interested in the MLM company, I advise you to avoid 7k Metals.

Also, if you have no interest in precious metals, I would recommend you pass.

Besides, precious metals are expensive due to their nature.

So…

If money is an issue, purchasing these products may not be in your best interests. Plus, your warm market prospecting will limit your ability to produce commissions if your circle of influence is made up of people who don’t have much money.

Final Thoughts

Final thoughts

But even though it seems like a well-run company, 7k Metals is still a multi-level marketing company… MLM isn’t easy to make money with, either.

Making your friends and family think they should buy silver and gold from you or join you in this kind of business makes for awkward holidays and family get-togethers.

Not only that, but 7K Metals also has scalability issues.

There are only so many hours in the day, and you can only sell precious metals to several individuals.

MLM companies are well aware of this. That’s why they make it so difficult for you to recruit for your downline… As a one-person show, you won’t be able to make a lot of money.

But, if you think that this opportunity is a good fit for you, go ahead and take a shot at it.

Is 7K Metals A Scam Or Is It Legit?

Is It A Scam

So, time for the $1,000,000 question: is 7k Metals a scam?

No, not technically. They aren’t going to run off with your money and not give you what you paid for. It’s 100% possible to make money with this program.

That being said, it’s not nearly as simple as they want you to think it is.

There’s A LOT of work to be done upfront and no guarantee that you’ll be successful. The commissions are also fairly small.

Don’t get me wrong; I’m all for doing hard work now so that I can reap the benefits later.

But if you’re going to work really hard for 3 months, and your reward is a $100 check… it’s not really a great opportunity.

If I’m gonna do that, I want the rewards to be HIGH and virtually guaranteed.

I’d rather put in that same 3 months of work (in my spare time) & build a handful of Digital Rental Properties that each produce $500-$2,000 checks every single month afterward (AKA recurring income).

And the cool part is that you can do it in a lot less time than 3-months (I personally did it in my first 2 weeks of using the Digital Rental Method).

Unlike with MLMs, you can do it from anywhere in the world, so it’s a genuine “laptop-lifestyle” business.

All you need is an internet connection.

Some of my friends are Digital Rental Method that run their 6-figure businesses from:

  • Camping trips at national parks
  • Beachfront in Hawaii
  • On the road in a camper van (with a pet pig!)

They focus on living an enjoyable life first and focus on income second. All thanks to this program

They can take weeks or months off, and money keeps rolling in.

Did 7k Metals Make The List?

Living happily is the top priority.

If the thought of living perpetually at your dream vacation spot interests you, using the Digital Rental Method might be for you!

What Is My Top Recommendation For Making Money Online In 2022?

I’ve personally tried all of the major online business models:

  • I’ve sold fidget spinners through Amazon FBA
  • I’ve drop-shipped a toilet bowl putting green on Shopify
  • I’ve sold women’s health supplements via Clickbank affiliate marketing

And I made money with all of them, so trust me when I say: there is no “perfect” business model.

I’ve also been on the other side of old friends trying to sell me their fancy new MLM products.

That being said, my #1 recommendation for making real money online is, hands-down: being a Digital Landlord.

Whether you’re a complete newbie or you’ve been around the block before but have never had that “big win” to propel you forward, using the Digital Rental Method is for you.

Why?

Time: If you’ve got a spare hour or two each day, you can do this. If you want to drop everything and go all-in, you can do this. More time obviously means faster results, but even putting in a few hours per day is enough to see real success.

And because of that flexibility, you don’t need to trade your time for money. Once the income starts, it’s recurring.

That means you can take a month off, travel the country, pursue a passion project, chill on the beach, or charter a boat across the world.

But you can only do that once you’ve created an income stream that doesn’t require YOU to be there all day, every day.

Ownership & Control: With MLMs, you don’t really “own” anything – everything belongs to the MLM.

If you read the contracts, they can kick you out or change your commission at any time (it’s happened in a few high-profile MLM cases recently).

Why pour your soul into a business that could be taken away from you at the drop of a dime?

With the Digital Rental Method, you literally own all of the assets, which means you have ultimate control.

Big Margins: With MLMs, you’re often going to have really slim margins. That means you need to have a VERY large network to make serious money. This usually entails spending A LOT of money on ads and other methods for recruiting members.

using the Digital Rental Method, your profit margin is nearly 100%. Watch here to learn how.

These Digital Rental Properties are worth (at a minimum) $500/mo in semi-passive income. And each time you create another one, your income increases, and the effort put into creating the next property decreases.

Best-case scenario, you have properties bringing in over $3,000+/mo on auto-pilot.

It’s Effectively Copy-Paste: Here’s my favorite part: once you have your first Digital Rental Property up, you can literally copy-paste another version of it and find another willing “renter” in a few days. DOUBLING your income doesn’t get much easier than that…

If you wanted to double your income with an MLM, you would need to sell twice as much inventory. And I can guarantee you that’s a lot harder than a few clicks & a phone call.

You’re Helping REAL People: My biggest gripe with MLMs is that you’re likely going to ruin your personal relationships.

The MLM may have convinced you that you’re actually helping people, but it’s often not really true.

But With the Digital Rental Method, you’re helping solve REAL problems that people are ASKING for help with:

Small local businesses around the world need one thing: customers. Without them, their business would fall apart. If you can provide those customers, they’re going to be really happy – and they’re going to pay you for it.

You’re helping a struggling mother or father put food on the table for their families, put their kids through college, or simply live life a little bit more comfortably.

Having this type of impact on the world is what will help you sleep soundly at night.

So, the rest is up to you. You could keep looking at other MLM programs like 7k Metals, which might make you money 12 months from now.

You could keep researching and researching for the next few months (or few years), never making a concrete decision.

OR, you can look deep inside, think about those dreams, hopes, & desires, and make the decision to ACTUALLY make it happen, just like it has for thousands of other students before you.

Making a fortune while actually helping real people that need it.
