iBuumerang Review (2023): Is This Travel MLM Actually Legit?

Updated On: November 21, 2023

Welcome to my iBuumerang review. My goal is to answer common questions like: how much it costs, if it's a scam, and if you can actually make money with it. The end goal is to help you understand if it's a good fit for you personally, and if there are any better alternatives out there.

There are lots of network marketing programs out there that promise you to earn lots of cash. But, in reality, most people who join an MLM business lose money.

In this review, I’ll go over the ins and outs of iBuumerang to see if it’s the right online business for you. Then, we’ll find out whether it is legit or a scam.

MLMs like iBuumerang are a bit of a mixed bag. They CAN be a legitimate way to make money, but some have a reputation for literally ruining people’s lives – so it’s important to know what you’re getting since each one is unique.

Like most of my readers, you were probably introduced to this one via a friend or some influencer you trust online.

And it makes sense why so many people recommend them:

Making money outside of a 9-5 can be… life-changing, to say the least.

So in this article, I want to help you explore two things:

  1. If MLMs are actually a worthwhile business to pursue
  2. If iBuumerang is a worthwhile MLM

Before that, I want to clear the air on something.

There are A LOT of people out there who bash all MLMs in any form. I’m not one of those people.

Instead, I want to genuinely educate you about them so that you can make an informed decision on how to proceed.

If you’re unfamiliar with what MLMs actually do:

They’re businesses in which you pay money to a company for the ability to sell their products.

Sometimes the products are actually kind of decent (I still remember my mom throwing pampered-chef parties when I was younger).

Other times the products are really poorly made and come with a high price tag.

Typically, the only way to really make money is to get people (mostly friends & family) to sign up with you for a recurring subscription.

If the product is 100% legitimate & valuable, it’s entirely possible to get people to sign-up and continue paying you.

If the product is subpar, you’ll usually burn those bridges kinda quickly and end up with $0 coming in each month.

The biggest issue I’ve seen is that this puts significant stress on your personal relationships, as you’re reliant on selling to your “network.”

Think about it: if you KNEW that every time your friend Sally called, she’d be trying to sell you on one of her products… you’d eventually stop answering Sally’s calls.

Now, this doesn’t mean MLMs are outright bad… it means you need to know what type of MLM you’re getting yourself into before you sign up.

Again, some MLMs provide real value to people, but MOST don’t – and so in this article, I’m going to explore the case with iBuumerang.

But before that, I want to ask you a question: what if there was a way to build actual recurring, semi-passive income?

Income that:

  • Doesn’t have inventory
  • Doesn’t make you sell to your friends & family
  • Doesn’t force you to recruit people onto your “team”

Something that you could make anywhere from $2,000 – $10,000 with consistently, month after month?

A stream of income that you can build as high (or low) as you feel like building it?

If that sounds interesting, you might want to think about using the Digital Rental Method.

If you wanna see what iBuumerang looks like on the inside, keep reading.

What Is iBuumerang?

What is iBuumerang

iBuumerang is a multi-level marketing (MLM) company that uses a travel booking platform to provide members with travel savings and even a means to generate money. Holton Buggs, the company’s CEO, co-founded it with David Manning, the President of XStream Travel, and Terrance Gray and the Vice President of business development, in March 2019.

They have something in common with another travel organization in Houston, which often deals with problems of different sizes.

Even though iBuumerang has its own issues, though on a smaller scale than NASA, they provide an essential service by helping clients save money on trips while also earning money.

It’s actually quite simple…

When you join iBuumerang, you can invite your friends to a website where you can get travel offers up to 70% off! This is referred to as your “boomerang” invitation.

And, as you might expect, you get paid a commission if they book a trip through your website.

That sounds pretty easy and enticing, right?

Let me tell you the catch before you make an impulsive decision.

iBuumerang can offer such crazy savings because they’ve teamed up with Xstream, a travel provider familiar with the MLM model and how it works.

Xstream’s CEO, David Manning, has worked with lots of travel-related MLMs in the past. To mention a few, there’s Paycation, Traverus Global, and The Vacation Network.

What’s the big deal about it?

This type of company has either failed or gone out of business entirely.

They do, however, show some positive signs. For example, they are known to collaborate with Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Delta, and Funjet.

From hotel blocks to group cruises, they’ve got it all.

People appear to be interested in the opportunity as well…

In fact, thousands of people joined iBuumerang on its first day…

And in less than six months, the company made more than $20 million in sales alone!

I guess many people want to help others go to their dream destinations while also getting paid.

But the question now is, is it too late to join this business opportunity?

I’ll get to that in a minute…

But first, let’s learn a little more about Holton Buggs

Who Is Holton Buggs?

Who is Holton Buggs

Holton Buggs is the President and CEO of iBuumerang. He is an experienced MLM veteran best known for working with the Organo Gold coffee MLM.

Unfortunately, there isn’t much information regarding the company’s history that I can share with you.

Besides, they were only founded in March 2019.

However, the following is a list of their corporate team members:

  • Lori Speers — Director of Travel Services
  • David Manning — President and CEO of Xstream Travel
  • Mark Kithcart — Marketing Vice President
  • Terrance Gray “T.Gray” — Development Vice President
  • Peter Hirsch — Chief Giving Officer of the Büüm Foundation

Now, here’s the thing: the CEO and their history tell a lot about the company…

Holton Buggs was born in Tampa, Florida, on September 26th, 1972.

He grew up in a low-income family, raised by his mother. Seeing their struggles motivated him to make a difference in their lives later on and pursue an entrepreneurial career.

When he was 14, he started selling candy to kids in his neighborhood as a way to get money.

It was at that very moment when Buggs realized…

He discovered the concept of leverage.

He discovered that if he purchased candy in bulk, he could get some of his friends to help him sell it. Allowing him to make a profit while not doing all of the job himself.

What a smart kid.

He even promised free haircuts if they agreed to sell for him without getting paid.

True enough, one of the 12 friends he recruited was his wife, Earlene Buggs.

All of which is to say:

Holton Buggs’ MLM career began at a young age, but it would take nearly a decade for it to grow financially.

He worked hard in sports in high school, just like any other teenager, and eventually earned a football scholarship to Texas Southern University. From there, he aspired to play in the National Football League.

Until something unexpected happened…

Buggs had suffered a leg injury that ended his dreams of playing in the NFL.

But he didn’t let that upset him; he was determined to achieve in any way and kept working on his engineering degree.

And everything fell into place.

He was invited to a network marketing event where he was first introduced to the multilevel marketing business model.

The speakers at the event left him feeling really inspired. He was so into it! However, he would have to sit and wait before enjoying the benefits of passive income.

He soon realized that an engineering degree would never pay him enough to live his desired life for himself and his family.

As a result, he did what any rational person would do. He established his own furniture manufacturing business in 1996.

Unfortunately, the economy crashed, and he was forced to close his business.

He had what he considers the darkest days of his life when he was 27 years old. He owes $2500 in debt, their house is in foreclosure, and his Lexus has been repossessed.

But all thanks to his friend who introduced him to the world of MLM, and his life was changed.

Buggs decided to go all-in on network marketing, and because of his strong work ethic, he was able to earn six figures in just 90 days!

But, just like any starting entrepreneur, he started to encounter problems again.

The company he worked for was CyberWize, a nutritional MLM that mostly made money from advertising on the internet and recruiting new people.

He later left and joined YTB (Your Travel Biz), an MLM company.  Does this ring a bell?

In 2008, Edwin Haynes and Holton Buggs had successfully put together a team of distributors for “Your Travel Biz.”

Edwin Haynes and Holton Buggs

Eventually, Holton Buggs left Your Travel Biz, and the company went bust. He was tired of dealing with a slew of lawsuits and investigations every week alleging that it was an illegal pyramid scheme.

Entrepreneurs always find ways to bounce back, and Holton Buggs did just that!

Organo Gold MLM

By 2010, he had re-entered the game with Organo Gold, a coffee-based MLM, and it was with this company that he truly made his mark.

By 2013, he claimed to have over 3 million distributors under him and made 1.3 million dollars each month! As a result, he became the top earner in the whole MLM industry.

Okay, that sounds like a wonderful rags-to-riches story from Holton Buggs.

But wait…

Now, I’ll get to the more interesting part.

Organo Gold decided to team up with Digital Skynet in 2018 to boost their worldwide operations platform; the only problem was that Digital Skynet was a blockchain company.

It turns out that they were the parent company of a scammy cryptocurrency MLM called IQ Chain (IQ Legacy now).

What’s more shocking is that Holton Buggs has been named as the new Executive Advisor for IQ Chain despite having no prior knowledge of the crypto market!

What did all of this mean since he wasn’t a crypto expert?

It means he could offer “consulting services,” which was just a fancy way of saying he could recruit new members.

To sum it all up.

Holton Buggs quietly left IQ Legacy after being accused of being a Ponzi Scheme. However, the personal damage was unavoidable and irreversible… Organo Gold ends up leaving him as well.

Ouch!

On the other hand, Organo Gold didn’t just fire him because of that. They fired him because Buggs had been charged with stealing trade secrets and distributors from another MLM company.

The company was found guilty in 2019 and was required to pay $3 million in damages!

But again, this didn’t stop Buggs from working hard.

He persisted and had a prelaunch for his “Countdown4freedom” travel MLM, which was eventually renamed iBuumerang in March of 2019.

So, what have I learned from all of this research on him?

The guy is quite tough!

A bad situation didn’t bother him at all -he just kept going.

But I’m not saying you should put your full trust in him…

Holton Buggs Red Flags

Holton Buggs has so many red flags, starting with his MLM affiliations.

What’s more, what makes iBuumerang so distinct from YTB?

Let’s take a closer look at iBuumerang, shall we?

Full Review of iBuumerang

How Does It Work?

All of these travel MLMs have been around for a long time… So, when you think about it, there’s actually nothing new here.

IBuumerang is basically a program that allows others to visit the IGo booking engine and take advantage of the discounted rates on vacations that it offers.

Remember Xstream Travel, the company we discussed earlier? They are the ones who run iGo… It is only accessible to individuals who have purchased iBuumerang subscriptions.

If you’re an iBummerang distributor, you may help your friends save money on their trip plans by granting them access to your iGo account.

The great thing about iGo Boomerang is that your friends and customers may use it the same way as they would Kayak, TripAdvisor, or Expedia!

And, believe it or not… iGo offers discounts that can save you hundreds of dollars, especially when compared to the most popular travel sites!

They have deals on everything from cheap flights, hotels, and rental cars to luxury homes, cruises, and theme parks!

They also provide a low price guarantee, with a 100% refund! It does not, however, apply to flights… But, hey, a cheap hotel room isn’t so bad, is it?

However, receiving a boomerang from a TSA is the only way to get these excellent deals and savings. A TSA is an independent iBuumerang distributor known as a Travel Savings Ambassador.

The best part is you get a commission if someone uses your boomerang to book a trip on the iGo website.

It’s a win-win situation; they save money, and you get paid.

Isn’t it simple?

But here’s the catch:

Each month, you can only send a certain number of boomerangs, depending on your membership level.

Yup, you read that right.

The higher your membership and the more money you pay, the more boomerangs you will get.

Let’s imagine you have five per month… This means you can have five clients per month, etc.

How do you get more boomerangs?

There are 3 major ways.

  1. Upgrade your membership level.
  2. Purchase extra on an individual basis
  3. Recruit new members

Oh well.

It is an MLM, after all.

What’s great about iBuumerang is that it comes with iDecide Presentation, making recruiting easier.

So what exactly is it?

It’s a short video created by iBuumerang corporate.

But, let’s be honest, the one aspect of being a part of an MLM that everyone hates is having to go about knocking on doors, attending house parties, and being treated like a crazy salesperson.

But, thanks to this little presentation they developed… All you have to do is attach it to a short SMS or email.

If you ask me, it’s a whole lot easier!

However, some people may be doubtful and see it for what it is.

But it’s obviously working for them right now! The popularity of iBuumerang is skyrocketing!

How Much Does It Cost To Become A Member Of IBuumerang?

Cost of Joining iBuumerang

It costs between $250 and $1,000 as a one-time fee… Alternatively, it can be paid in monthly installments ranging from $49.95 to $99.95.

That seems like a reasonable price to me.

But the big question is, is it worth the shot?

The iDecide Tool and 5 boomerangs are included in the starting “standby” set every month. Following that trial period, there are three different membership levels to choose from, all of which are based on travel-related terms:

  1. Coach Class: One-time fee of $250 or $49.95 per month for 5 boomerangs
  2. Business Class: One-time fee of $500 or $99.95 per month for 25 boomerangs
  3. First Class: One-time fee higher-level of $1,000 or $99.95 per month for 50 boomerangs

These ambassador memberships come with bigger travel savings bonuses, resulting in greater commissions.

How Many Countries Is IBummerang In?

Holton Buggs and iBuumerang are currently available in 180 countries! Their market is nearly endless, and anyone can become an ambassador or distributor.

iBuumerang Compensation Plan

The Compensation Plan

There are 6 basic ways to make money using iBuumerang:

1. Referred Travel Boney– You’ll get a 25% commission as a referral bonus if you introduce someone to Xstream Travel directly.

2. Travel Savings Bonus (TSB) – If they book a trip on your iGo travel portal from the boomerang you provided, you get a 50-100% cash incentive, depending on your membership level.

3. Fast Start Bonus – This is when the MLM aspect comes in. You will receive a cash incentive if you recruit someone to join. They will be charged $20 if they fly coach, $40 if they fly business, and $80 if they fly first class.

4. Dual Team Bonus – This is where you get a recurring commission of 10-20% based on the size of your downline.

iBuumerang uses a complicated binary compensation system. Basically, one team will be on the left, and the other will be on the right.

The plan is to recruit people who will then hire team members for them…

Then you get compensated based on the efforts of the entire team.

Your team’s travel bookings and distribution fees will determine the amount of commission you earn.

Your weekly residual commission is limited to your iBuumerang rank.

ibuumerang Compensation Plan

So what’s the point?

The main issue is that this chart makes it appear as if becoming wealthy is a simple process. The truth is that it’s incredibly difficult for people who are new to running businesses of this nature to progress past a certain stage. This type of chart thinks you’ll never run out of people to convince, but you will.

5. Unveiled Commissions – This is a commission depending on how many recruits you individually enrolled at up to seven levels below you.

It varies between 5 and 10% depending on your rank and the number of monthly subscriptions and travel discounts your boomerang customers provide.

The idea is to keep iBuumerang distributors motivated to continue recruiting members while not allowing them to rely solely on their downline.

6. Leadership Development Bonus – This is the bonus that a distributor receives for assisting one of their own recruits in achieving the sapphire or higher level.

You can earn 2-5% through up to four generations of sapphire in your company.

The bottom line?

iBuumerang’s compensation plan is designed to reward those who build the largest downlines.

It’s no surprise that it’s an MLM, and it appears to be working out well!

Here’s what they were able to accomplish in just six months:

  • 30,000 distributors
  • 120,000 active customers
  • $12,000,000 in distributor commissions
  • more than $20,000,000 in total sales

But don’t get easily deceived by these numbers yet.

When you divide the 12 million by the 30 thousand distributors, you can see that the cost per distributor is just $400.

Now, let’s take a closer look at that 120,000 active client figure…

Let’s say they spend $200 on the trip; the total would be $24 million, or $4 million more than reported.

As a result, I can only assume that iBuumerang counted all the boomerangs it distributed as active customers.

This means that the majority of boomerangs are used by distributors and travel ambassadors rather than retail customers.

So there you have it…

There’s nothing too new here, guys. It’s simply another MLM company that makes more money from its distributors than it does from its customers.

IBummerang Customer Reviews

So far, the iBuumerang reviews aren’t all very nice.

In fact, the majority of reviews are negative.

A quick check of the Better Business Bureau reveals that they are not accredited and have an “F” rating based on several negative reviews.

To summarize many of these customers’ complaints, most felt deceived and lied about how much money they would make.

MLMs are known for doing just that.

Is IBuumerang A Pyramid Scheme

Legally speaking, iBuumerang is not a pyramid scheme.

Many people believe it’s a pyramid scheme. However, because it provides a legit vacation, it cannot be called such because it does not make all of its money from new members.

But I still don’t recommend it.

Apart from iBuumerang, we’re sure you have a lot of questions about the MLM business model in general. So I’ve put up a quick list of questions and answers that I hope you’ll find useful!

Did iBuumerang Make The List?

Can You Get Rich In Network Marketing?

Can You Get Rich With Network Marketing

Yes, Network Marketing can make you rich, but it’s not easy.

The most difficult thing you’ll face is finding individuals to join your downline so you can start earning money via residual and leverage.

You can only sell so much as a single person.

To cut a long story short, there are simpler ways to become wealthy if that is your goal.

Which Network Marketing Company Pays The Best?

There are lots of MLM companies that “pay” well. However, they have higher ticket products and higher join fees or subscriptions, which is a problem.

You could join any MLM and make a lot of money, but it all depends on your downline.

When you look into these payment plans more, you’ll find that most MLM companies have the same pay structure, with only a few exceptions.

Is MLM A Good Career?

Are Multilevel Marketing Jobs Worth It
MLM, the acronym for Multilevel Marketing, is superimposed with a connected grid representing salespeople over a background of coins

Do you enjoy talking about your business opportunity with your friends and family regularly?

Do you enjoy calling people and asking them to spend money with you even though you don’t know them?

Do you like the idea of working your way up a pyramid for decent pay?

If you said yes to all of them, then yes! MLM is the ideal career option for you!

What’s Wrong With MLM Companies?

The biggest problem with MLM companies is that they claim you can start your own internet marketing business and make money quickly or that creating a downline is simple.

That is simply not the case.

Worse, many of them are essentially legal pyramid schemes. When you analyze the figures, you’ll see that most of the profits come from distributors buying the company’s products, not from retail customers.

Lastly, you’ll discover that most MLM members only make a few hundred dollars per month… It’s definitely not worth it and not even close to the passive income they say you’ll make!

Is IBuumerang Legit Or A Scam?

Is It A Scam

So, time for the $1,000,000 question: is iBuumerang a scam?

No, not technically. They aren’t going to run off with your money and not give you what you paid for. It’s 100% possible to make money with this program.

That being said, it’s not nearly as simple as they want you to think it is.

There’s A LOT of work to be done upfront and no guarantee that you’ll be successful. The commissions are also fairly small.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for doing hard work now, so that I can reap the benefits later.

But if you’re going to work really hard for 3 months, and your reward is a $100 check… it’s not really a great opportunity.

If I’m gonna do that, I want the rewards to be HIGH and virtually guaranteed.

I’d rather put in that same 3 months of work (in my spare time) & build a handful of Digital Rental Properties that each produce $500-$2,000 checks every single month afterward (AKA recurring income).

And the cool part is that you can do it in a lot less time than 3-months (I personally did it in my first 2 weeks of using the Digital Rental Method).

Unlike with MLMs, you can do it from anywhere in the world, so it’s a genuine “laptop-lifestyle” business.

All you need is an internet connection.

Some of my friends are Digital Rental Method that run their 6-figure businesses from:

  • Camping trips at national parks
  • Beachfront in Hawaii
  • On the road in a camper van (with a pet pig!)

They focus on living an enjoyable life first, and focus on income second. All thanks to this program

They can take weeks or months off, and money keeps rolling in.

Living happily is the top priority.

If the thought of living perpetually at your dream vacation spot interests you, using the Digital Rental Method might be for you!

What Is My #1 Recommendation For Making Money Online In 2022?

I’ve personally tried all of the major online business models:

  • I’ve sold fidget spinners through Amazon FBA
  • I’ve drop-shipped a toilet bowl putting green on Shopify
  • I’ve sold women’s health supplements via Clickbank affiliate marketing

And I made money with all of them, so trust me when I say: there is no “perfect” business model.

I’ve also been on the other side of old friends trying to sell me their fancy new MLM products.

That being said, my #1 recommendation for making real money online is, hands-down: being a Digital Landlord.

Whether you’re a complete newbie or you’ve been around the block before but have never had that “big win” to propel you forward, using the Digital Rental Method is for you.

Why?

Time: If you’ve got a spare hour or two each day, you can do this. If you want to drop everything and go all-in, you can do this. More time obviously means faster results, but even putting in a few hours per day is enough to see real success.

And because of that flexibility, you don’t need to trade your time for money. Once the income starts, it’s recurring.

That means you can take a month off, travel the country, pursue a passion project, chill on the beach, or charter a boat across the world.

But you can only do that once you’ve created an income stream that doesn’t require YOU to be there every day.

Ownership & Control: With MLMs, you don’t really “own” anything – everything belongs to the MLM.

If you read the contracts, they can kick you out or change your commission at any time (it’s happened in a few high-profile MLM cases recently).

Why pour your soul into a business that could be taken away from you at the drop of a dime?
With the Digital Rental Method, you literally own all of the assets, which means you have ultimate control.

Big Margins: With MLMs, you’re often going to have really slim margins. That means you need to have a VERY large network to make serious money. This usually entails spending A LOT of money on ads and other methods for recruiting members.

using the Digital Rental Method, your profit margin is nearly 100%. Watch here to learn how.

These Digital Rental Properties are worth (at a minimum) $500/mo in semi-passive income. And each time you create another one, your income increases, and the effort put into creating the next property decreases.

Best-case scenario, you have properties bringing in over $3,000+/mo on auto-pilot.

It’s Effectively Copy-Paste: Here’s my favorite part: once you have your first Digital Rental Property up, you can literally copy-paste another version of it and find another willing “renter” in a few days. DOUBLING your income doesn’t get much easier than that…

If you wanted to double your income with an MLM, you would need to sell twice as much inventory. And I can guarantee you that’s a lot harder than a few clicks & a phone call.

You’re Helping REAL People: My biggest gripe with MLMs is that you’re likely going to ruin your personal relationships.
The MLM may have convinced you that you’re actually helping people, but it’s often not really true.

But With the Digital Rental Method, you’re helping solve REAL problems that people are ASKING for help with:

Small local businesses around the world need one thing: customers. Without them, their business would fall apart. If you can provide those customers, they’re going to be really happy – and they’re going to pay you for it.

You’re helping a struggling mother or father put food on the table for their families, put their kids through college, or simply live life a little bit more comfortably.

Having this type of impact on the world is what will help you sleep soundly at night.

So, the rest is up to you. You could keep looking at other MLM programs like iBuumerang, which might make you money 12 months from now.

You could keep researching and researching for the next few months (or few years), never making a concrete decision.

OR, you can look deep inside, think about those dreams, hopes, & desires, and make the decision to ACTUALLY make it happen, just like it has for thousands of other students before you.

Making a fortune while actually helping real people that need it.
