MLMs like Kannaway are a bit of a mixed bag. They CAN be a legitimate way to make money, but some have a reputation for ruining people’s lives – so it’s important to know what you’re getting, since each is unique.
Like most of my readers, you were probably introduced to this one via a friend or some influencer you trust online.
And it makes sense why so many people recommend them:
Making money outside of a 9-5 can be… life-changing, to say the least.
So in this article, I want to help you explore two things:
- If MLMs are actually a worthwhile business to pursue
- If Kannaway is a worthwhile MLM
Before that, I want to clear the air on something.
There are A LOT of people out there who bash all MLMs in any form. However, I’m not one of those people.
Instead, I want to genuinely educate you about them so that you can make an informed decision on how to proceed.
If you’re unfamiliar with what MLMs actually do:
They’re businesses in which you pay money to a company for the ability to sell their products.
Sometimes the products are actually kind of decent (I still remember my mom throwing pampered-chef parties when I was younger).
Other times the products are really poorly made and come with a high price tag.
Typically, the only way to really make money is to get people (mostly friends & family) to sign up with you for a recurring subscription.
If the product is 100% legitimate & valuable, it’s entirely possible to get people to sign-up and continue paying you.
If the product is subpar, you’ll usually burn those bridges kinda quickly and end up with $0 coming in each month.
The biggest issue I’ve seen is that this puts significant stress on your personal relationships, as you’re reliant on selling to your “network.”
Think about it: if you KNEW that every time your friend Sally called, she’d be trying to sell you one of her products… you’d eventually stop answering Sally’s calls.
Now, this doesn’t mean MLMs are outright bad… it means you need to know what type of MLM you’re getting yourself into before you sign up.
Again, some MLMs provide real value to people, but MOST don’t – and so in this article, I’m going to explore the case with Kannaway.

Kannaway, formed in 2004 by Christopher Hussye and Jeff Rogers, is a multi-level marketing organization.
Other goods available from this supplier include high-quality CBD oil and related items. Or maybe not?
I’ll discuss that later.
I say this because the company was founded in 2004 and is almost 16 years old.
Most MLM companies fail within the first five years due to debt and lack of adequate marketing.
Over 2,500 multi-level marketing companies are offering CBD oil, so it’s not easy to stand out.
The MLM market is getting more competitive daily as new companies launch the same products.
Hence, the marketers at this MLM company decided to create uniquely crafted products for their audience.
As a result, they used hemp. I know you’re thinking hemp in CBD oil doesn’t make sense, right? But hemp can also manufacture wax, clothes, t-shirts, and fuel.
The problem is this: Hemp is used in cannabis as well.
CBD is present in hemp, but not THC.
CBD stands for cannabidiol, whereas THC stands for Tetrahydrocannabinol.
It’s crucial to understand the difference between CBD and THC. One of the major differences is just the side effects.
You cannot get high from CBD as you can with THC.
The product is considered safe. Moreover, CBD is legal in virtually every state in America, whereas THC is illegal in most states.
Scout and Cellar is a multi-level marketing company that I recently reviewed.
Many states banned home delivery of the wines used by these guys because they used THC.
It’s worth noting that hundreds of CBD oil multilevel marketing companies from which one can earn income, such as Young Living, CTFO, Hempworx, The Emris Group, Bioreigns, Navan Global, and Vasayo.
Kannaway Products
Let’s take a look at Kannaway’s offerings.
Kannaway carries CBD oil and hemp, which are both considered dietary supplements.
These products are not under the control of the FDA (Food and Drug Administration).
I just wanted to remind you about this.

Here’s an overview of the quality of these products.
During my search on Google, I encountered several complaints about the products on the BBB and other platforms.
Kannaway has mixed reviews: some say it’s good, and some say it’s not.
However, I cannot offer you an opinion since I have not personally used them.
Let’s have a closer look at these products.
I recommend you skip the compensation plan part if you don’t want to discuss these products in detail.
Kannaway Value Pack
The company’s main product is this. This product comes with a lifestyle incentive built into the pay structure.
I’ll discuss it later.
A Kannaway value pack is the best choice for those looking to verify their products’ quality and spend their money on them.
Kannaway value packs include a range of products and come at different prices.
To begin, you will need to purchase a starter pack for $249.
In my opinion, this is a very good price.
Their starter packs offer a wide variety of choices for members, which I find to be beneficial.
Starter packs come in many varieties. Below is the list.
- Pure starter pack @ $249 (Fast Starter JR)
- Executive starter pack @ $699.
- Fast starter senior executive starter @ $999.
- Fast Starter and Executive Starter pack @ $1899.99.
Generally, prices increase as the product quantities increase. Again, I have no idea how good their products are.
REVIVE
In the Revive product line, there are three types of products.
The first is Revive AM, the second is Revive PM, and the third is Revive Pro.
In Revive AM, the herbal bi bong is said to help boost your immunity and enhance your mood.
Revive PM is an herbal blend containing bi bong herbal blend, vitamin D3, lecithin, and CBD.
Revive AM is recommended for use before bedtime.
A Revive product line would not be complete without Revive pro. There are 1,000mls of CBD in this product and both Revive AM and PM.
Cannabis Beauty Defined
Many individuals use cannabis for their skin because of its anti-inflammatory effects.
A wide range of products, like serums and cleansers, are available at Cannabis Beauty Defined.
This allows Kannaway distributors to sell a variety of different products.
You can also purchase the defined ageless beauty bundle.
Kannaway Premium Hemp Oil Products
Many items are available from the Kananway company, some of which are of exceptional quality.
Kannaway premium hemp oil offers a large selection of items, making it simpler for salespeople to close more sales.
It contains premium full-spectrum liquid, premium full spectrum capsules, energy chews, chocolate energy capsules, and much more.
Kannaway Pets
Kannaway is the only place to get this product.
While most MLM organizations exclusively work with people, Kannaway is an exception.
It’s useful for animals as well.
Kannaway Pets is a product you can buy if you own a dog.
If you’re a Kannaway distributor, you can also sell it to dog owners.
Four products are part of Kannaway Pets: Hemp Oil by Dante, Chewy Toys by Dente, and Choice Smartship by Fente.
Kannactive
The Kannactive skin care package is available from Kannaway.
For $88, you can get a product just for the skin.
The $88 price is for preferred customers, which I think is overpriced as well.
If you buy it at retail prices, you can expect it to be more expensive.
Besides the products I’ve mentioned earlier, Kannaway offers several other products. Since I’m keeping this article short, you can just visit their website to learn more about their products. Now let’s move on to other aspects of this multilevel marketing business.
Is Kannaway A Pyramid Scheme?
If you mention multilevel marketing, most people automatically think of pyramid scams.
As a result, most of your commission comes from hiring individuals beneath you.
Let me tell you something good.
Unlike MLM firms, Kannaway sells physical products like CBD oil.
This is not a pyramid scheme, either, since brand ambassadors could sell and make commissions on the products.
They do the same thing by encouraging their affiliates to recruit people under you.
Since this is the case, most people try to recruit people under them heavily.
Moreover, they also offer a limited range of products, and their products do not sell like hotcakes in the highly competitive health and wellness sector. Thus, Kannaway is not a pyramid scheme… it’s a legit MLM company.
How Much To Join Kannaway?
There is a $55 fee for signing up with Kannaway. Among the perks are generous bonuses.
There is another MLM that provides equal chances and costs thousands of dollars, while Kannaway doesn’t.
You only need to pay $55 a year if you stick with Kannaway.
Following is a list of the benefits you will receive from spending this amount:
- You will be able to buy CBD oil at wholesale prices
- The products can be sold to anyone, so you can get paid for your efforts.
- Kannaway will give you a website that you can use to market Kannaway to your potential customers and partners.
- Different products with tax advantages for you
- A training system inside Kannaway will teach you how to make money. It contains very basic information on selling, so it is very suitable for newbies.
- With the company, you will be able to participate in a variety of contests and games and possibly win trips.
The MLM company will cover the expenses.
You will automatically become a brand ambassador when you enroll in Kannaway.
Once you earn money, you will get more tasks to reach higher ranks.
The more people you recruit and the more retail commissions you make, the more chances you have to become a director, executive, etc.
The ambassador elite double crown is the highest level.
What’s more, you pay them the same amount whether you are a double crown ambassador elite or just starting as a brand ambassador.
Kannaway Compensation Plan
You have two options here.
You need to do two things to make money with Kannaway.
To begin, you need to pay the annual fee.
Then there is a PSV (personal sales volume) requirement that you have to maintain.
To maintain and grow this PSV, you must recruit partners under you.
Now, here’s what makes this MLM different from others.
You will not get commissions for recruiting partners under you, but you will get commissions when they sell.
This will increase your recruiting efforts, and you will end up without a commission.
While I won’t go into specifics regarding their compensation plan, here are the things you should know before becoming a member.
Direct Sales Bonus
Kannaway products are eligible for a 30% commission if you sell them to your partners within 30 days.
Fast Start 3000 And 9000 Bonus
The bonus will be available if you purchase the Kannaway Value Pack in the first 30 days. In addition, you will have to recruit three people under you who will need to buy the value pack.
In other words, you must convince them to purchase the Kannaway Value Pack.
Lifestyle Bonus
You can only attain this rank after you have reached the rank of an area director or higher.
The bonus will be awarded in the third month if you maintain this rank for at least one month.
Can You Really Make Money With Kannaway?
Yes, you can!
But…
There’s a lot that comes along with Network Marketing (MLM) that many people struggle with.

Now, don’t get me wrong…
You can certainly make money with Kannaway, but if you’re gonna put in the amount of grueling work to do this business (which, trust me, isn’t easy), you might as well bring in some REAL money while you’re learning the ropes.
The program that helped skyrocket my online business to over $40,000+ per month is so simple that making money really does become second nature.
Pros About Kannaway
While the company has a low success rate, it still has positive points, which I should mention.
A+ Rating On BBB
BBB gave the company an A+ rating. FCSA has also approved its products.
Although this MLM was founded in 2004, there are few complaints after almost 16 years in business.
Moreover, it has an A+ rating with the BBB.
Some users have complained about it here and there, but for the most part, they are pleased.
Join MLM companies like Kannaway since the majority of the customers say that their products were helpful in a lot of ways.
Another benefit of this company is its wide selection of products.
In this way, the distributor offers more options in their sales pitch.
Compared to most of the multilevel marketing companies I have reviewed so far, the products appear to be unique.
Cons About Kannaway
Kannaway has a lot of things that I didn’t like.
I’d like to discuss them one by one.
Ripped Many People Additional Money
There are many reviews of people who this MLM company has charged additional money via their credit cards.
Expensive Enrollment Fees
You will be charged for their membership fees after every anniversary of your membership, which I believe is excessive.
Even though 50-60 bucks may not seem like much, keep in mind that you will not receive anything in return for your investment.
It’s just allowing you to sell their products.
Banned In Some States
I’ve mentioned this earlier; some states ban the use of hemp and cannabis.
Despite my best efforts, I could not find any stats about the states that ban CBD.
Nevertheless, if you plan to join Kannaway, check your state’s laws.
Expensive Products
In general, products distributed by MLM companies are much more expensive than those in the same niche that doesn’t have an MLM label.
The same is true for Kannaway.
The products offered by Kannaway are also incredibly expensive.

Kannaway products tend to be more quantity oriented than quality-oriented.
What makes them so expensive?
You will need about 300 dollars for the starter value pack. Sometimes they offer discounts to preferred customers.
Each Kannaway salve starter pack comes with a bottle of full spectrum supplements.
You will also receive a copy of the Kannaway prosper magazine.
Still, the cost is $300, and that’s a lot of money if you ask me.
Are There Alternatives To Kannaway?
Yes, there are plenty of MLM companies to choose from if you want to pursue this business model. Here are just a few:
Is Kannaway A Scam?
So, time for the $1,000,000 question: is Kannaway a scam?
No, not technically. They aren’t going to run off with your money and not give you what you paid for. It’s 100% possible to make money with this program.
That being said, it’s not nearly as simple as they want you to think it is.
There’s A LOT of work to be done upfront and no guarantee that you’ll be successful. The commissions are also fairly small.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for doing hard work now, so that I can reap the benefits later.
But if you’re going to work really hard for 3 months, and your reward is a $100 check… it’s not really a great opportunity.
If I’m gonna do that, I want the rewards to be HIGH and virtually guaranteed.
I’d rather put in that same 3 months of work (in my spare time) & build a handful of Digital Rental Properties that each produce $500-$2,000 checks every single month afterward (AKA recurring income).
And the cool part is that you can do it in a lot less time than 3-months (I personally did it in my first 2 weeks of using the Digital Rental Method).
