Just another online money-making business that relies on selling a saturated membership to promote pricey product packages from other people’s websites, and it’s another one of them.
Almost every distributor promotes it in hopes that they can recruit and make money off your sales. Yep, you read that right…
They want you to join so you can help make them more money.
It’s supposed to show you how to become a “6 figure network marketer,” but most members don’t make money promoting other products.
That’s just the truth…you won’t get rich off a small $6 commission
And while I have to be honest for this review…
MLMs like Unicity are a bit of a mixed bag. They CAN be a legitimate way to make money, but some have a reputation for literally ruining people’s lives – so it’s important to know what you’re getting since each one is unique. Like most of my readers, you were probably introduced to this one via a friend or some influencer you trust online.
And it makes sense why so many people recommend them:
Making money outside of a 9-5 can be… life-changing, to say the least.
So in this article, I want to help you explore two things:
- If MLMs are actually a worthwhile business to pursue
- If Unicity is a worthwhile MLM
Before that, I want to clear the air on something.
There are A LOT of people out there who bash all MLMs in any form. But I’m not one of those people.
Instead, I want to genuinely educate you about them so that you can make an informed decision on how to proceed.
If you’re unfamiliar with what MLMs actually do:
They’re businesses in which you pay money to a company for the ability to sell their products.
Sometimes the products are actually kind of decent (I still remember my mom throwing pampered-chef parties when I was younger).
Other times the products are really poorly made and come with a high price tag.
Typically, the only way to really make money is to get people (mostly friends & family) to sign up with you for a recurring subscription.
If the product is 100% legitimate & valuable, it’s entirely possible to get people to sign-up and continue paying you.
If the product is subpar, you’ll usually burn those bridges kind of quickly and end up with $0 each month.
The biggest issue I’ve seen is that this puts significant stress on your personal relationships, as you’re reliant on selling to your “network.”
Think about it: if you KNEW that every time your friend Sally called, she’d be trying to sell you on one of her products… you’d eventually stop answering Sally’s calls.
Now, this doesn’t mean MLMs are outright bad… it means you need to know what type of MLM you’re getting yourself into before you sign up.
Again, some MLMs provide real value to people, but MOST don’t – and so in this article, I’m going to explore the case with Unicity.
But before that, I want to ask you a question: what if there was a way to build actual recurring, semi-passive income?

What Is Unicity About?
Multi-level marketing company Unicity specializes in developing, promoting, and researching health and wellness products. This company, originally known as Enrich International, has built a name for itself as a source of cutting-edge necessities for customers.
The company is based in Orem, Utah, and was founded in 2001.
Over the years, the business has expanded into various countries like Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Greater China, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, Germany, Venezuela, Sweden, Columbia, the United Kingdom, Canada, Korea, the United States, and more.
It’s under the wing of Rexall–a group of American drugstores and Enrich International, an MLM brand that sells nutritional supplements and herbal remedies. The two brands merged in 2001, creating Unicity, which Stewart Hughes acquired in 2006.
Unicity Products
As previously stated, Unicity belongs within the health and wellness niche. Unicity sell pills from them that promise to help you lose weight, look younger, cleanse, replenish your body’s nutrition, and improve your general well-being.
The extensive product line is divided into categories that cater to individual requirements, such as Skin Care, Weight Management, Joints, Bones Detoxification, and health enhancement Sports and Fitness Vitality. So let’s take a deeper look at some of the main items to see what people think of them and how well they function.
Unicity Core Products has over 20 products to choose from, and they are divided into six categories under the Unicity Core Products:
- Matcha
- Complete
- Cleanse
- Balance
- Unimate
- Core Health
As with any network marketing company, these products are marketed as their flagship products.
The essentials can be bought individually or in bundles or packs. In terms of price, it’s a typical MLM rate where the price is much higher than what you can get in the market.
Unicity Product Review
Unicity products are tough to evaluate since I haven’t tried them. On the other hand, Amazon gave me some valuable input, which I’ll share below.
There have been complaints about the flavor and amount of their Balance product. It’s supposedly harmful to you and expensive. Even though there are more favorable evaluations than bad ones, taking this information with a grain of salt is still important.
It’s because the product won’t suit everyone, no matter how efficient it is. What works for them may not work for you.
How To Make Money With Unicity
Two primary methods of making money online using Unicity’s platform are selling the items and recruiting new members. Unicity is an MLM platform. As a result, network marketing may now be considered an actual business model.
The first thing to note is that they have something tangible to sell. While recruiting new members is their primary goal, they don’t get commissions until the people they bring on board make money.
Basically, I’m saying that some people don’t realize the difference between an MLM and a pyramid or Ponzi scheme, so I decided to point this out.
The difference between an MLM and a pyramid scheme is that the former has legitimate products to offer, while the latter pushes you to recruit more and more people.
You are then compensated directly for doing so. Simply put, you pay for an investment and earn money from other members or your invites, so if you don’t recruit any successful members, you won’t make any money.
Plus, Ponzi schemes are illegal in most states and countries.

You need to pay $40 for the affiliate membership and cover shipping and handling fees to join Unicity. For your business to get off the ground, you’ve got to buy Distributor packages.

PROS
Legit, Long-Time Operating MLM Company
Being in business for more than 10 years is a good thing. MLM companies aren’t likely to last for very long unless they are profitable and legitimate. Therefore, it might be a great option for those passionate about their products.
CONS
Expensive Products And Membership Fee
The cost of a protein meal replacement from Unicity is $89.99, and it’s possible to find products with similar formulas under various brands for a lower cost. While looking through Amazon, for example, I found that there are similar products ranging from $19.99 to $59.99
Products Are Not Unique.
In the MLM industry, the health and wellness niche is one of the most common. Therefore, there are many products available in this niche. Having said that, a distributor will find it hard to sell its products unless it has a great marketing campaign behind it.
You should also be aware that, as mentioned above, there are cheaper alternatives that can offer you the same quality or even superior.
Who Is It For?
For those who have used the items, they are excellent. I feel they are the only ones who can properly advertise it. I don’t see the point in joining a brand and selling their goods unless you can guarantee their performance, especially when so many are out there.
Training Tools/Support
A positive aspect of Unicity’s business is that its distributors can receive training and support. The members have the opportunity to learn more about the product they are selling and how to market it effectively.
Unicity Review: Final Opinion/ Verdict
It’s good to know that Unicity is not a scam. The reviews I found online indicate that many people really like their products. Even so, their membership fees and essentials are a bit expensive.
It’s not a great idea if you are a newbie looking for ways to make money online or offline.
This is an expensive and impractical way to earn money, especially if you don’t have the right skills in network marketing to convert it into profit.
You have to invest a lot to make a good return on your investment in MLM programs.
As I mentioned before, commissions do not just come from selling products. It also comes from inviting people to join the platform.
That means you will need to send messages and make calls to strangers, which in my opinion, is extremely annoying.
Are There Other Business Models? How About Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate marketing is just one of the many other business models which, in my opinion, is better than an MLM business model.
But the question you should be asking, I believe, is, “Which business model can actually generate a significant income for me?”
Can You Really Make Money With Unicity?
Yes, you can!
But…
There’s a lot that comes along with Network Marketing that many people struggle with.

Now, don’t get me wrong…
It’s not impossible to make money with Unicity, but if you’re gonna put in the amount of grueling work to do this business (which, trust me, isn’t easy), you might as well bring in some REAL money while you’re learning the ropes.

Yes, there are plenty of MLM companies to choose from if you want to pursue this business model. Here are just a few:
Is Unicity A Scam?
So, time for the $1,000,000 question: is Unicity a scam?
No, not technically. They aren’t going to run off with your money and not give you what you paid for. It’s 100% possible to make money with this program.
That being said, it’s not nearly as simple as they want you to think it is.
There’s A LOT of work to be done upfront and no guarantee that you’ll be successful. The commissions are also fairly small.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for doing hard work now to reap the benefits later.
But if you’re going to work really hard for 3 months, and your reward is a $100 check… it’s not really a great opportunity.
If I’m gonna do that, I want the rewards to be HIGH and virtually guaranteed.
I’d rather put in that same 3 months of work (in my spare time) & build a handful of Digital Rental Properties that each produce $500-$2,000 checks every single month afterward (AKA recurring income).
And the cool part is that you can do it in a lot less time than 3-months (I personally did it in my first 2 weeks of using the Digital Rental Method).
