Alright, so Course From Scratch doesn’t exactly fit into a nice category.
At the end of the day, creating your own course is a… unique way to think about making money.
It’s certainly possible to make money with off-the-wall businesses like this, but unless you’re interested in taking years out of your life to experiment with an unproven business model, I would look elsewhere.
My #1 personal recommendation if we’re talking about starting a fully-online business has got to be the Lead Generation & Ad Agency business models.
There are a handful of programs that teach you the ropes, but my #1 choice that combines both of those business models into one is the Digital Rental Method program

Creating courses is one of the best methods to make money on the internet, and Course From Scratch teaches exactly that. With its high price tag, it’s only smart to conduct your own research, as you did. Fortunately, this review will give you a better knowledge of what you are about to embark on.
What Is Course From Scratch?
This eight-week course will teach you how to create and launch your own course.
She also advises you to use the Teachables website to start your studies since the course is offered there. According to the sales page, you could make your course for free. This is only applicable for the first three months; afterward, a monthly fee of $97 applies. However, you will save $197. Anyone can try Teachables for a month for free.
This course will walk you through the process of building and launching your own online course in 60 days.
You also have access to a private community where you may communicate with other course creators.
Then there’s a 7-day email list development training that’s reportedly worth $497.
Then there are group coaching calls, essentially large webinars where you can ask questions and get assistance with launching your course.
Who Is Danielle Leslie?
I was given a brief overview of her during the webinar. You may have no idea who she is if you come into her Instagram Ad by chance.
Before 2017, she was unknown, but her course, Course From Scratch, made $85,000 in its first year. She then earned $1.2 million in 2018.
I’m curious how much of her money came from free social media traffic, but it’s an effective sales pitch.
Early traces indicated that she began selling on Udemy and launching a few courses there. If you want to generate substantial money from your course, Udemy is a no-go because they frequently have $10 specials, which means you’ll get less than $5 for it. They decide when they have sales, and you have no voice in the matter.
She formerly worked as a marketer for Silicon Valley firms and is now a speaker and content specialist assisting businesses in making money from their content.
The actual money comes from her course, which teaches individuals how to establish their own courses.
It’s logical.
You could most likely do the same.

To get the two premium incentives, you must pay $1,997 right away for the course.
One of these is a live call with Danielle Leslie, during which she will supposedly sit down with you and help you come up with ideas. Given the importance of establishing a course, I thought that would have been included for all subscribers.

The fundamentals of beginning a course should have been the same then as they are now.

In my opinion, the videos are confusing & hyped; it’s not very straightforward, and I’m now battling to provide enough information to review each lesson. To add to the confusion, videos are titled using acronyms.
The content is lengthy, but some areas might be expanded, such as traffic creation, where there is currently no content. Now that you’ve received a course, what should you do? If you already have a business, you’re in a great place, but how do you generate money from your course as a newbie?

I’m surprised by how complicated the course layout is for someone who claims to teach people how to create a course. There are videos scattered around the site, modules that could be integrated, and others that might be included in the introduction.
To me, it’s evident that stuff has just been added and added without being transferred to the proper location.
Following the course, all live coaching calls from June 2017 through February 9th, 2019, are available. That means it looks like no live coaching has occurred since February 2019.
To be fair, there were well over 25 coaching calls in those two years, ranging from 30 minutes to 120 minutes. There’s a lot of value somewhere; you just have to sift through it to find it.
How Much Does Danielle Leslie’s Course From Scratch Cost?
This course costs $2,000 to enroll. You must pay more if you want to receive bonuses once you’ve finished the course.
Additionally, it will take you 60 days to finish this course.
The value you’re getting for a high charge of two grand is a huge question mark. You can see by the name that this course is aimed at beginners. How many newcomers can afford to spend this much money to gain this information? Are there any other reliable but less expensive resources for learning about course building and selling?
Refund Policy
To get a refund, you’ll need to show that you followed the course, did all the work, timed and dated everything you did, ran traffic and failed, and did all of this within 30 days.
Personally, I think it’s a fairly weak guarantee for a $1,997 course.
Can you make money with Course From Scratch?
Yes, you can make money online by creating courses.
But…
There’s a lot that comes along with coaching that many people struggle with.
Now, don’t get the wrong idea…
It’s not impossible to make money with coaching, but if you’re gonna put in the amount of grueling work to do this business (which, trust me, isn’t easy), you might as well bring in some REAL money while you’re learning the ropes.
The program that helped skyrocket many online businesses to over $40,000+ per month is so simple that making money really does become second nature.
Is Course From Scratch Legitimate?
Yes. It is a legit course that teaches how to build online courses from scratch.
But, when it comes to building a business, you have plenty of options.
And even if you’re dead set on becoming a coach, you’ve got way better options than Course From Scratch.
Keep in mind, I don’t get paid to promote any of the programs I review. I think coaching is a great business model, but you could leave way too much money on the table.

Yes, there are plenty of other business models to choose from if you want to pursue this making money online. Here are just a few:
Is Course From Scratch A Scam?
Time for the $1,000,000 question: is Course From Scratch actually a scam?
I wouldn’t technically call it a scam, though others might.
It’s technically possible to make money with this program, so in that sense, it isn’t a scam.
No one is riding off into the sunset with your money, leaving you empty-handed… technically speaking.
But the second, more important question is: is Course From Scratch actually worth the investment?
My honest answer is that for most people out there, probably not.
There are countless other business models that are proven & easily scalable, so why risk it for… not an incredibly huge payoff?
I’d rather have a program with thousands of successful students & plenty of room for others to join.
If you’ve followed my blog for long, you know I recommend a few different programs depending on your skills & goals.
My current top choice is using the Digital Rental Method, because you have a proven, systematic path to 6-figures, and you can do it from anywhere you want.
I’ve got friends in there posting deals from the middle of the woods in a camper-van with their pet pig… which is cool.
What Is My Top Recommendation For Making Money In 2022?
Alright, time for me to get real with my lovely readers for a moment:

They come out of left field with some random idea, make it seem attractive, and then make themselves a quick buck by luring in unsuspecting people.
I’m not saying Course From Scratch itself is a piece of trash; I’m just saying you need to be very, very careful.
This is a big reason why I only recommend proven, tried, and true business models, like Lead Generation & Ad Agencies.
There are a bunch of programs out there that teach you those skills, but my top choice is the Digital Rental Method program.
