iPro Academy Review (2024): Is Fred Lam An E-Com Genius?

Updated On: February 6, 2024

Welcome to my iPro Academy review. My goal is to answer common questions like: how much it costs, if it's a scam, and if you can actually make money with it. The end goal is to help you understand if it's a good fit for you personally, and if there are any better alternatives out there.
iPro Academy By Fred Lam

This iPro Academy review has been throughly researched with information and testimonials that are available online to anyone in the public. Any conclusions drawn by myself are opinions.

There are better models for online business in 2022

iPro Academy may be precisely the spot for you if you want to start an internet company. To become an expert in media purchasing and marketing strategy, you’ll need to take this course.

Let’s face it…

The world of digital marketing is an ever-changing realm of possibilities, and the courses taught in iPro Academy if a good place for you to continually learn new strategies and techniques to stay ahead of your competition.

I know it sounds like I’m putting iPro Academy on a high horse…

But as Fred Lam says…

“At iPro Academy, we work hard to show you how to be a success in your professional career, especially if it means that you want something more than what you were taught in school, which is to get a degree and have a high-paying 9-5 job. But if you have a different definition of success, then I believe that with some simple education and process automation, no matter what your background is, you can take control of your path in life.”

There are 17 courses in the iPro Academy program, which include:

  • AdTrics Academy
  • Zero Up
  • Facebook Playbook

I believe that you will certainly learn a lot with iPro Academy, given all its courses.

The question to ask yourself should be, “Will the system work for me?”

So, I’m going to review iPro Academy to decide if it really is the best eCommerce course out there.

I’ll talk about whether eCommerce is the right online business model for you, as well as some struggles that people have in eCommerce.

Alright, so iPro Academy doesn’t exactly fit into a nice category.

At the end of the day, eCommerce is a… unique way to think about making money.

It’s certainly possible to make money with off-the-wall businesses like this, but unless you’re interested in taking years out of your life to experiment with an unproven business model, I would look elsewhere.

My #1 personal recommendation if we’re talking about starting a fully-online business has got to be the Lead Generation & Ad Agency business models.

There are a handful of programs that teach you the ropes, but my #1 choice that combines both of those business models into one is the Digital Rental Method program

But, if you’re hard-pressed to jump head-first into an off-the-wall business model, let’s continue on to my full breakdown of iPro Academy.

Is iPro Academy Really Worth The Money?

Is It Worth it

This question is really a double-edged sword. On one hand, if you opt to buy all the courses separately, then the total costs of the iPro Academy courses could end up costing you nearly $7,000. When you also factor in that some of the courses are really just introductions to the subject matter at hand, then it probably wouldn’t be a good idea to buy the courses individually.

But on the other hand, when you look at the 21 Day eCom Challenge (which lights a fire under your ass) and other courses like:

  • Bing Ads Playbook
  • Ecom Studio
  • Coding For Profit

You get a chance to peek behind the curtain and see ALL the inner workings of a successful eCommerce Business.

So the question really comes down to whether or not you want to buy iPro Academy for the annual fee of $1,970?

If you’re totally wet behind the ears, then I would say that it could be in your best interest to purchase the entire course, especially given that it’s cheaper than some of the other courses out there like:

That being said, if you have tried these courses (or similar) and have some experience running your own eCommerce store.

Of course, each course has the author’s tips and tricks when it comes to the subject matter, but this only happens every once in a blue moon, so I doubt it would be worth the $1,970

On top of that, I’m not really a big fan of the eCommerce business model, so I would have to take a hard pass on spending that kind of money on it. Now, don’t get me wrong, you can definitely make good money with eCommerce, but not as much as my #1 pick for making money online.

My Final Thoughts

My Final Thoughts

When you take a really good look at what you get in the course, I’d have to say that you certainly get quite a bit for your money.

The only thing that gets me about iPro Academy is that Fred doesn’t really go into showing you how to start your own business. Instead, he gives you a specific business template to follow that centers around his products.

Now, this may sound like it takes a lot of the guesswork out of the process, but the problem is that anyone else who purchases the course will have the same template (with the same products) competing against you.

I do like the fact that they offer an exam in the course to certify that you have taken the course. Now, if you are working for yourself, then I can see that it would be a nice thing to have in your closet, but if you’re gonna try to get a job somewhere, I doubt if it will carry much weight.

When you watch some of the videos in the course, the coach will stand in front of a whiteboard like it’s a lecture, but they are only presenting theory.

For the most part, the course content is pretty good, just not as thorough as one should be especially given the other course available.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Frequently Asked Questions

Is There Too Much Competition In ECommerce?

Yep, there is so much competition in eCommerce that it isn’t even funny.

Have you heard of that one platform called Shopify?

Of course you have!

It has over 500,000 active stores hosted on it now.

I could make you feel even more gut-wrenched and talk about how many other eCommerce stores aren’t on Shopify…

But I have a feeling you get the point.

Let’s just do some quick math…

I’ve already established that there are only ten spots on the first page of Google and that nobody really buys stuff that isn’t on page one.

So what are your odds for any given niche?

Well, considering that most stores all offer the same products…all we have to do is take 10/500,000

That means there is only a .002% chance for you to land on page 1.

With the digital real estate model I’ll talk about later…you’ll only have maybe 20 competitors in a given area…but more on that later.

The point is that because the barrier of entry is so low, that means a lot of people can get started.

When you see so many others at the same point as you…it gets discouraging, and many people quit because of how hard it is to break the proverbial glass ceiling.

And that leads us to my next point and why most people can’t break through the eCommerce glass ceiling…

Capital.

Do I Have Enough Capital?

Yep, this is quite possibly the biggest reason why eCommerce businesses fail.

eCommerce businesses require a huge upfront cost. In most cases, I’m talking at least $10,000, and that’s just for inventory…not including marketing or shipping.

Beyond that, most courses that teach you will also cost a couple of thousand dollars.

To be frank, not many people will be able to front all that dough.

I’m sorry if you weren’t expecting all those upfront costs, but that’s the reality. Gone are the days of starting a profitable eCom business with $500.

But I don’t blame you for thinking you could start an eCom business for super cheap…

No, instead, I blame all those flaunty YouTube ads and YouTube videos that mislead you into thinking you can start an eCom biz without a hefty investment.

You can find them if you look hard enough, but very few eCommerce YouTubers will confront this start-up capital issue…they all kinda just gloss over it.

And for a good reason…

If a lot of people understood just how much money you’d have to front to get started in eCommerce, people likely wouldn’t even join the course they’re probably selling!

Sad but true.

Did I Get Involved With eCommerce At The Wrong Time?

eCommerce requires a lot of research. You want to make sure that you pick the right product to buy and start selling.

Unfortunately, sometimes you can have the right product but sell it at the wrong time.

When this happens, the sales won’t be coming through, and you’ll have lots of inventory left over that you’ll have to either keep…or sell at a loss.

Most often, people sell at a loss to just move on. At least, that’s what the big retailers do…

If you’re just getting started, a mistake like this could be what cripples your whole operation!

And that’s the reality for most people.

They take everything they have and throw it all into one product.

When it doesn’t hit, they sell for a loss and exit the business altogether.

Poor Customer Service

The last big reason eCommerce businesses fail is because of poor customer service.

When you’re a one-man show trying to ship and acquire products worldwide, it can get busy quickly.

Because you’re not personally delivering these products to your customer’s doors, there are a lot of issues that can arise in that process.

Unfortunately, smaller, brand new eCommerce businesses are notorious for poor customer service when these issues occur.

This usually occurs because it can be difficult to get in touch with foreign suppliers, especially during Covid-19, which hurts communication with the end customer.

Did iPro Academy Make The List?

As you can imagine, a customer will only give a seller so much time before asking for a refund and leaving a bad review.

And reviews are everything!

The first couple of people might buy when there are no reviews, and that’s fine…but when real reviews start rolling in, and they’re not positive, you won’t be making many sales.

That’s just the reality of the situation.

Is iPro Academy A Scam?

Time for the $1,000,000 question: is iPro Academy actually a scam?

I wouldn’t technically call it a scam, though others might.

It’s technically possible to make money with this program, so in that sense, it isn’t a scam.

What I’m saying is: after buying, someone will, in fact, send you a login to a website where you can actually view their material. No one is riding off into the sunset with your money, leaving you empty-handed… technically speaking.

But the second, more important question is: is iPro Academy actually worth the investment?

My honest answer is that for most people out there, probably not.

There are countless other business models that are proven & easily scalable, so why risk it for… not an incredibly huge payoff?

I’d rather have a program with thousands of successful students & plenty of room for others to join.

If you’ve followed my blog for long, you know I recommend a few different programs depending on your skills & goals.

My current top choice is using the Digital Rental Method, because you have a proven, systematic path to 6-figures, and you can do it from anywhere you want.

I’ve got friends posting deals from the middle of the woods in a camper van with their pet pig… pretty cool.

Conclusion

Again, I didn’t want to rain on your parade, but I also didn’t want you to be misinformed and dig yourself into a hole.

And I didn’t even mention just how bad the shipping issues can get during the pandemic.

But I’ll save that one for another time.

Oh yeah, but what you’re probably wondering…

What’s this online business model that just absolutely destroys eCommerce?

What’s My Top Recommendation For Making Money Online In 2024?

Digital Landlord Better Than iPro Academy

Alright, time for me to get real with my lovely readers for a moment:

I’ve personally tried all of the major online business models:

  • I’ve sold fidget spinners through Amazon FBA
  • I’ve drop-shipped a toilet bowl putting green on Shopify
  • I’ve sold women’s health supplements via Clickbank affiliate marketing

And I made money with all of them, so trust me when I say: there is no “perfect” business model.

THAT BEING SAID: I would at least recommend you implement something that is tried and true because I’ve seen TOO MANY people (including friends and family) get burned this way.

They come out left-field with some random idea, make it seem attractive, and then make themselves a quick buck by luring in unsuspecting people.

I’m not saying iPro Academy itself is a piece of trash; I’m just saying you need to be very, very careful.

This is a big reason why I only recommend proven, tried, and true business models, like Lead Generation & Ad Agencies.

There are a bunch of programs out there that teach you those skills, but my top choice is the Digital Rental Method program.

Why? It has proven leaders with their own 7-figure businesses implementing exactly what they teach you.

I’ve also got over a dozen personal friends there, so I feel comfortable telling you it works.

Whether you’re a complete newbie, or you’ve been around the block before but have never had that “big win” to propel you forward, their program works.

Here’s Why:

1)Time: If you’ve got a spare hour or two each day, you can do this. If you want to drop everything and go all in, you can do this. More time obviously means faster results, but even putting in a few hours per day is enough to see real success.

And because of that flexibility, you don’t need to trade your time for money. Once the income starts, it’s recurring (for the most part).

That means you can take a month off, travel the country, pursue a passion project, chill on the beach, or charter a boat across the world.

But you can only do that once you’ve created an income stream that doesn’t require YOU to be there all day, every day.

2)Big Margins: With most businesses, you’re often going to have really slim margins. That means you need to hit a serious scale to make serious money.

using the Digital Rental Method, your profit margin is nearly 100%. Watch here to learn how.

Just a reminder: these Digital Rental Properties are worth (at a minimum) $500/mo in semi-passive income. And each time you create another one, your income increases, and the effort put into creating the next property decreases.

Best case scenario, you have properties bringing in over $3,000+/mo on “auto-pilot.”

3)It’s Effectively Copy-Paste: Here’s my favorite part: once you have your first Digital Rental Property up, you can literally copy-paste another version of it and find another willing “renter” in a few days. DOUBLING your income doesn’t get much easier than that…

If you wanted to double your income with eCommerce, you would need to sell twice as much of your inventory. And I can guarantee you that’s a lot harder than a few clicks & a phone call.

4)You’re Helping REAL People: My biggest gripe with eCommerce is that you’re basically only helping yourself.

But With the Digital Rental Method, you’re helping solve REAL problems that people are ASKING for help with:

Small local businesses around the world need one thing: customers. Without them, their business would fall apart. If you can provide those customers, they’re going to be really happy – and they’re going to pay you for it.

You’re helping a struggling mother or father put food on the table for their families, put their kids through college, or simply live life a little bit more comfortably.

Having this type of impact on the world is what will help you sleep soundly at night.

So, the rest is up to you. You could keep looking at other off-the-wall business models like iPro Academy and maybe hit it big one day.

You could keep researching and researching for the next few months (or a few years), never making a concrete decision.

OR, you can look deep inside, think about those dreams, hopes, & desires, and make the decision to ACTUALLY make it happen, just like it has for thousands of other students before you.

Making a fortune while actually helping real people that need it.

If this sounds like you, click here to see how it all works.
