Sean Kochel Review (2024 Update): Is He A Lead Generation Genius?

If you’re the type of person who just wants a direct answer, let me cut to the chase. Here’s my take on whether Sean Kochel is a lead generation genius.

For me to answer this question, we’ll need to look at the lead generation courses he offers. The details of the course Sean Kochel offers speak volumes of how he approaches the lead generation business.

Sean Kochel is known for two lead gen courses:

• Online Landlord Biz
• Social Ad Tribe

While these two programs are primarily different, they do have their foundations deeply rooted in the lead generation business.

If you’ve been a Center For Work Life blog reader, you know that I’m all for Lead generation as a way to make money online, and the stats are there to prove that. With that in mind, I do think Sean Kochel is a lead generation genius. Here’s why I think that:

First, He has worked with thousands of clients and has managed Millions of dollars in ad spend for his clients. That’s a huge flex and one of the reasons why you’d call Sean Kochel a lead generation expert.

Secondly, his courses—Online Landlord Biz and Social Ad Tribe—each have unique features addressing specific gaps in the lead generation business.

For instance, Online Landlord Biz teaches how to leverage “one-page sales landers” to generate leads for local businesses. How? You get to use already made-for-you templates you can copy and paste, which, in turn, helps you get your local business owners leads faster.

On the flip side, Social Ad Tribe focuses on the ad side of things in the lead generation business. This program guides you on leveraging Facebook ads and Google ads.

Despite these characteristics, I wouldn’t personally recommend either of them as my top lead generation programs.

It’s not because I don’t think of Sean Kochel as a lead generation genius, just because Lead gen is more than just generating leads. There’s also the issue of converting those leads. One program that combines all these strategies is Digital Landlord.

This program combines all the elements of Social Ad Tribe and Online Digital Biz to give students a comprehensive lead generation program.

Who Benefits From Program

As you’ve probably heard me say a lot of times, I’m all for lead generation when it comes to building a semi-passive income.

It’s a legitimate way to make money online, and it’s also the basis of all the lead-gen programs Sean Kochel teaches.

With that said, who is Online Landlord Biz and Social Ad Tribe for and not for?

If you fit in the following category, this program might be for you:

• If you’re an already established and successful SEO agency owner looking to learn a new skill. You’ll get to learn how to leverage social media and one-page landers to generate leads and convert them.
• Any newbie looking to step foot into the lead generation industry.
• Any local business owner looking to leverage the power of social media to increase sales and attract new customers.

This program is not for you if you fit into the following category:

• Anyone looking for a digital marketing program that does more than rely on one ad platform like Google ads or Facebook ads.
• If you aren’t willing to put in the work. You can be very successful with Sean’s strategies, but not if you’re expecting to just sit back and do nothing to reach your goals.
• Anyone who doesn’t have at least a little money upfront to commit to running ads.

So far, we’ve established that the programs Sean Kochel offers all have their foundation in lead generation. The specific type of lead generation he teaches is social ads and digital property.

While social ads are a fairly common practice in lead generation, digital property isn’t quite popular. They are, however, a much better way to make money online compared to other business models, like dropshipping or affiliate marketing.

Paid ads are an excellent skill to have, but they do really entirely on platforms like Google ads or Facebook ads. There’s a risk to that, as you’re completely at the mercy of Google and Facebook when building your business.

One algorithm update or a simple change in the ad set-up could leave you reeling from a loss in profits or gains you’ve made with your clients.

For the Online Landlord Biz, this program focuses on digital real estate, a business model that’s entirely free from Facebook and Google ads limitations. With this program, you’ll learn how to make organic traffic work to your advantage in generating leads for your clients.

One major concern is that it focuses on one end of the lead generation pendulum and doesn’t include the rest. What that creates is an unbalanced form of lead gen skills. Well, you’re in luck, as there’s a program that includes both aspects, from social ads to digital real estate.

Sean Kochel- About the Guru

Aside from being a lead generation expert, Sean is also a 7 figure ad agency owner. One of his main areas of expertise as an agency owner is helping his customers generate leads via search engine marketing and paid ads. It’s no wonder his programs cover these two methods.

After all, you’d expect that when a guru teaches something, they’ve actually done it in real life. This is something you can expect from Sean Kochel’s programs.

Outside his work life, Sean Kochel grew up in a small beach town in New Jersey. But he soon realized that he wasn’t cut out for the 9-5 grind after college. This pushed him to become a self-taught developer and transitioned into the ad tech space.

Before developing his own program, Sean worked for some huge multi-million dollar companies in the tech space. He later decided to package his conversion and targeting skills into a program known as Social Ad Tribe.

He partnered with Joshua Osborne to create Online Landlord Biz. His experience in the industry, coupled with his skills as a lead generation coach, are what make people refer to him as a lead generation genius. These skills are something you wouldn’t learn in a college marketing class.

While the price of both Social Ad Tribe and Online Landlord Biz doesn’t seem to be public, from my research, I estimate that you might spend anywhere from $1500 to $5000. The price issue is something this Trust Pilot user points out.

The Promises and Claims of Sean Kochel’s Lead Generation Programs

The big promise Sean’s courses make is that they can help you create a semi-passive income using a lead gen business model. The main claim or idea here is that local businesses need help generating leads, and you can generate and convert those leads.

The only challenge is both programs handle this issue differently. Social Ad Tribe tackles how to leverage ads to generate leads much like this Douglas James course, while Online Landlord Biz focuses on the use of digital real estate to generate those leads.

If you want to learn how to leverage both ads and websites to generate leads, you’ll have to pay for both programs. We both know that’s not realistic or ideal.

You’ll also have to look elsewhere to learn how to convert the leads you generate. No one is going to fork out twice the money to buy into two programs you aren’t even sure are going to give you a semi-passive income.

Is Sean a Lead Generation Genius?

Time to answer the $1,000,000 question: is Sean a lead generation genius? My answer is yes.

He has experience in this industry, so he knows what works and what doesn’t. Sean has also worked with multiple clients, some even huge corporations, in conversion and targeting. You can expect that what he teaches in his program is what has helped his clients grow.

Lastly, the programs he teaches are legit. They, however, aren’t my first choice. I prefer Digital Landlord.

Personal Opinion

It’s finally time to wrap up this Social Ad Tribe review and Online Landlord Biz review with my personal opinion.

First, let me acknowledge that every program, no matter how great it is, will always have a negative review. Sometimes, those horrible reviews you see are from people who’ve had bad experiences.

While BBB, Trust Pilot, and Reddit are great places to find reviews, they shouldn’t be the only thing you use to judge a program.

Some other factors you should look at include;

• The guru’s experience
• The cost of the program
• The value of the course
• Availability of a private community

With that in mind, how do Sean’s programs stack up? Let’s find out!

My Recommendation on This Social Ad Tribe and Online Landlord Biz Review

Let’s start with the positives:

If you put your head down and put in the work, you’ll actually make money online with these programs. You’ll need to be patient as it might take time to get actual results from the techniques these courses teach.

Second, Sean Kochel is an actual lead generation genius. He knows his stuff, so you can expect that what he teaches is something that will work.

Now, the negatives:

1. The price of both programs isn’t listed anywhere. Not everyone would want to know the price of a program via sales call, which is something this Trust Pilot user says about Social Ad Tribe.
2. Having to rely on Google or Facebook to generate leads for your client isn’t always a good idea. It means that without Google or Facebook, your entire semi-passive income might not exist.

You get the following with Social Ad Tribe:

1. Sales Training: You get to learn how to conduct effective prospecting and close businesses

3. Complete Google Ads Fundamentals training, practical and theory.
4. 30+ done for you niche funnels
5. Bonuses
6. Weekly live streams via the private Facebook group.

From a surface-level view, it does look like the two programs are pretty similar. But they aren’t, as there are some slight differences. One is access to a 6-step sales strategy on Online Landlord Biz that’s taught by Sean’s partner, Joshua Osborne.

The second is the access to SEO on-page and off-page strategies that are essential in digital real estate.

Conclusion- Is Sean Legit?

Yes, he is. The programs he offers are a sure way for a newbie to gain ground in this industry. While Sean and his program may be legit, I still don’t recommend it as my top way of making money online.

What Is My #1 Way To Make Money Online In 2024?

I’ve personally tried all of the major online business models:

• I have an actual lead generation business
• I’ve sold fidget spinners through Amazon FBA
• I’ve drop-shipped a toilet-bowl putting green on Shopify (pic below)
• I’ve sold women’s health supplements via Clickbank affiliate marketing

And I made money with all of them, so trust me when I say: there is no “perfect” business model.

That being said, my #1 recommendation for making real money online is, hands-down: being a Digital Landlord.

2) Complete control: You completely control everything, which means no one can take your business away from you. This is a huge difference from other lead generation models, where Google can end you at the snap of a finger and Social Ad Tribe by Sean Kochel is such program.

3) It’s Effectively Copy-Paste: Here’s my favorite part: once you have your first Digital Rental Property up, you can literally copy-paste another version of it and find another willing “renter” in a few days. DOUBLING your income doesn’t get much easier than that…

Google and Facebook ads are slightly different, so what works for one client might not work for the other. This is what makes a program like Social Ad Tribe difficult to copy and paste.

4) Great Margins:

Being a Digital Landlord, your profit margin is nearly 100%. Watch here to learn how.

Just a reminder: these Digital Rental Properties are worth (at a minimum) $500/mo in semi-passive income. And each time you create another one, your income increases, and the effort put into creating the next property decreases.

Best case scenario, you have properties bringing in over $3,000+/mo on auto-pilot.

5) You’re Helping REAL People: When you’re a Digital Landlord, you’re helping solve REAL problems that people are ASKING for help with:

Small local businesses around the world need one thing: customers. Without them, their business would fall apart. If we can provide those customers, they’re going to be really happy – and they’re going to pay you for it.

You’re helping a struggling mother or father put FOOD on the table for their families, put their kids through college, or simply live life a little bit more comfortably.

So, the rest is up to you. You could keep looking at other lead generation programs like Sean Kochel’s Social Ad Tribe or Online Landlord Biz, which might work out.

You could keep researching and researching for the next few months (or few years), never making a concrete decision.
