Listening to Chris Luck talk about becoming a brand ambassador is quite maddening, I must say. He makes it sound like some kind of money-printing machine that spits out money with a few clicks.
The truth is, being a brand ambassador isn’t as easy as he makes it out to be.
You have to push out a ton of quality blog posts and build trust with your audience. That’s not gonna happen if you try publishing AI-generated content.
On top of that, Google punishes low-quality content. Any SEO expert will tell you the importance of EAT (Expert, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness).
Don’t take my word for it.

But…
If you’re mass-producing content to manipulate search rankings, it’s considered spam. And they can dish out penalties for that.
Even if you do use Chat-GPT to write blogs, you have to put just as much work into researching and editing anyway.
Google is looking for high-quality people-first content. So, the AI methods that Chris teaches are shaky at best.
To add insult to injury, search engines take a long time for blogs to even appear on the first page.
So no matter how you slice it, writing blogs to generate affiliate sales is probably the slowest and most inefficient way to earn $10k a month consistently.
I mean, it’s so slow that even a turtle would feel insulted.
On a side note: It’s also ironic that Chris is wearing a cloverleaf hat in every photo he’s in. Maybe it’s because you’ll need all the “luck” you can get to have a fighting chance with this business.

When you think of brand ambassadors, I’m sure you’re picturing social media influencers.

So how do you make money with his method?
- You’ll create a niche website.
- Then you sign up to become a brand ambassador with somewhere like Lululemon.
- You’ll start publishing tons of blogs centered around the topic and include affiliate links to the product.
- With proper SEO strategies, the articles will rank on Google. When visitors click on those affiliate links and buy the product you recommend, you’re rewarded with a small commission.
Now, let’s talk about Chris, the brains behind this online course.
Who Is Chris Luck?
Chris Luck is the creator of AMBSDR. Ever since 1999, he’s been working in online marketing (that’s probably why he’s so deadset on blogging).
He’s also the founder of Membership Method, a program to help you build membership sites.
Over the years, he’s generated over $25 million online, which is quite the accomplishment, so kudos to Mr. Luck. But since Chris isn’t really on social media, it’s hard to really dig into his past or get a gauge on whether he’s legit or not.
How Much Does AMBSDR Cost?
The AMBSDR is priced at $1,997, or you can pay in three installments of $797.
They offer a 14-day refund policy, but there have been numerous complaints from customers who aren’t able to get their money back.
Are There Any Extra Costs With AMBSDR?
Before you click the hit the buy button, I feel obligated to tell you that there’s some hidden fees if you choose to follow Chris’ teachings.
Blogging isn’t some “free” method that he makes it out to be.
You’re gonna need to invest his some SEO tools if you need any real chance of success like:
- SurferSEO-starts at $500 per month
- SemRush-starts at $129.95 per month
- Jasper.AI- starts at $39 per month
This doesn’t include the cost of web hosting, a domain name, and lots of WordPress plugins you’ll want to install.
My Personal Opinion on Chris Luck and AMBSDR
Chris has seen some success, but it’s unclear whether he’s caught up to speed on how to make REAL money with affiliate marketing.
But first, I want to walk you through my thought process on how I evaluate programs like this. Here are a few things that I look for.
- Does the training give you up-to-date strategies on how to make money online?
- Is it a high-profit cash flow business?
- Is there any risks associated with the guru’s teachings?
When it comes to affiliate marketing, I gotta say Chris’ program ranks near the bottom of the barrel.
Let me start with the positives:
- He does provide lots of templates, checklists, and templates, so you’re not reinventing the wheel.
- You get a lot of mentorship and community.
- Chris even gives you a proven list of products to get you started.
No, here are some things that I gotta dock him on:
- Blogging successfully is quite outdated and time-consuming.
- Affiliate commissions are razor-thin. Commissions range from between 5 to 25%.
- Teaching AI to mass produce content isn’t a good idea, and you’re gonna be walking a fine line trying to avoid Google’s penalties.
Is There a AMBSDR Scam Going On?
Okay, here’s where the rubber meets the road.
Is AMBSDR a scam?
Well, not exactly. Sure, there are a few bad apples who’ve complained about not getting their money back, but that doesn’t prove that Chris is gonna ride off into the sunset with your hard-earned money.
There are still a lot of people who have had positive things to say about Mr. Luck.
That’s really not the hill I want to die on.
My real gripe is with his methodologies and the business model he’s teaching.
When you really break it down, is affiliate marketing much different than clocking into your 9 to 5 job?
You work day and night selling other people’s stuff, you’re getting paid pennies on the dollar, and they can fire you at any time.
To be clear, I’m not saying affiliate marketing doesn’t work. I’ve made money as an affiliate marketer in the past.
Getting sales takes a REALLY long time and A LOT of upfront work. If you try to use AI like Chris recommends, you’re probably not gonna get much traction.

Even a third-grader would be able to tell whether a robot wrote your blog. So don’t kid yourself with the whole AI-stuff.
Your audience will bounce faster than you can say adios.
And search engines HATE pages with high-bounce rates, so you’re not gonna be driving much traffic anyway.
If you don’t want to create another job for yourself and want to build a business that gives you true financial freedom, then you probably want to try the Digital Rental Method instead.

I would hope not.

But otherwise, I’d take a plane.
And if you try to shortcut your way to ranking blogs, Google will put its hammer down quick, fast, and in a hurry.
Personally, I wouldn’t want to waste another second of my time on a business model that doesn’t bring in consistent cash flow.
I’d want a program that takes my hand and walks me through how to make a consistent income of $10k a month.
