Because it’s mainly home-based and can be conducted as an internet business, it provides ease and flexibility.
All you’d need is a laptop, some clients, and patience. Enagic is one of the products that provide this business opportunity.
This review will go over Enagic to see if it really is the best MLM company out there.
Now, I do want to be totally honest in this review, so…
MLMs like Enagic are a bit of a mixed bag. They CAN be a legitimate way to make money, but some have a reputation for literally ruining people’s lives – so it’s important to know what you’re getting since each one is unique.
Like most of my readers, you were probably introduced to this one via a friend or some influencer you trust online.
And it makes sense why so many people recommend them:
Making money outside of a 9-5 can be… life-changing, to say the least.
So in this article, I want to help you explore two things:
- If MLMs are actually a worthwhile business to pursue
- If Enagic is a worthwhile MLM
Before that, I want to clear the air on something.
There are A LOT of people out there who bash all MLMs in any form. I am not one of those people.
Instead, I want to genuinely educate you about them so that you can make an informed decision on how to proceed.
If you’re unfamiliar with what MLMs actually do:
They’re businesses in which you pay money to a company for the ability to sell their products.
Sometimes the products are actually kind of decent (I still remember my mom throwing pampered-chef parties when I was younger).
Other times the products are really poorly made and come with a high price tag.
Typically, the only way to really make money is to get people (mostly friends & family) to sign up with you for a recurring subscription.
If the product is 100% legitimate & valuable, it’s entirely possible to get people to sign-up and continue paying you.
If the product is subpar, you’ll usually burn those bridges kinda quickly and end up with $0 coming in each month.
The biggest issue I’ve seen is that this puts significant stress on your personal relationships, as you’re reliant on selling to your “network.”
Think about it: if you KNEW that every time your friend Sally called, she’d be trying to sell you on one of her products… you’d eventually stop answering Sally’s calls.
Now, this doesn’t mean MLMs are outright bad… it means you need to know what type of MLM you’re getting yourself into before you sign up.
Again, some MLMs provide real value to people, but MOST don’t – and so in this article, I’m going to explore what the case is with Enagic.

The main product of Enagic is the drinking Kangen Water and the Kangen Water machines.
Who Started Enagic?
The president and CEO of Enagic is Hironari Oshiro. He was born and raised in Okinawa before founding the Japanese company Enagic and becoming a successful businessman.
He also created the controversial Oshiro-ism concept, consisting of “five Kangen principles and three health principles,” to which his company adheres.
What Kind Of Company Is Enagic?
Enagic isn’t solely a multi-level marketing (MLM) company because it prefers to sell directly to customers.
What Is The Direct Sales Business Model?
Direct sales entail selling a product to its target market. They are manufacturer-to-consumer with no middlemen.
What Is The Difference Between Direct And Indirect Sales?
Indirect sales rely on the services of third-party affiliates, whereas direct selling eliminates intermediaries from the distribution process. A direct seller makes money by purchasing products from a parent company and selling them to customers directly. Resellers, affiliates, independent sales reps, and system integrators frequently use indirect sales to promote and distribute products. However, some businesses distribute their products using direct and indirect sales models.
Is Enagic A Multi-Level Marketing Company?

Enagic sells a Kangen water ionizer that produces Kangen water. “Return to origin” is the meaning of the word Kangen.
According to their pH levels and purposes, the company sells five types of water: Kangen Water, Strong Kangen Water, Clean Water, Beauty Water, and Strong Acidic Water.
Strong Kangen Water, with a pH of 11, is recommended for food preparation, cleaning, stain removal, and dishwashing.
Kangen Water, which has a pH of 8.5 to 9.5, can be used for drinking, producing beverages, cooking, and gardening.
Clean Water has a pH of 7 and is best used for baby food and medication intake.
Beauty Water has a pH of 4 to 6 and isn’t for drinking because of its acidity. It can be used for cleaning and beauty care.
Finally, Strong Acidic Water has a pH of 2.7 and is again not for drinking because of its acidic nature. It can be used for cleaning purposes, reducing germs and bacteria, maintaining hygiene, and commercial operations.
What Are The Benefits Of Kangen Water?
Kangen water is said to help restore body balance and athletic performance. It’s also ideal for maintaining and maximizing beauty regimens.
How Is Kangen Water Made?
The Kangen water ionizer transforms regular tap water through ionization. This process aids in the production of higher-quality water with more health advantages.
Various ionizers are available from Enagic, which can be used at home or in the workplace.
Why Is Enagic So Expensive?
Enagic’s products are pricier because of their health benefits, performance, and the material used to produce the products.
Furthermore, their products are also sturdier than most of the same products in the market.
Aside from that, the additional cost is also added since many of their products are sold through an Enagic distributor.
How Do I Become An Enagic Distributor?
Another Enagic distributor must sponsor you to become an independent distributor for the company. You don’t have to pay anything when you sign up (e.g., a sign-up fee), but you must invest in an Enagic product to earn bonuses and commissions and advance in rank within the company.
What Are The Benefits Of Becoming An Enagic USA Distributor?
Once you become a distributor, you enjoy the following benefits that are exclusive to Enagic distributors:
- No signup fee
- No monthly qualifications
- No stocking of inventory
- No annual renewal
- No time limits
- Accumulative sales
- International sponsoring
- Pays daily
Aside from this, they also don’t include monthly qualifications, stocking of inventory, annual renewal, and time limits.
This means that you don’t have to shell out cash to be an active member; you immediately get renewed and don’t need to reach a quota within a certain time frame.
Can You Make Money Selling Kangen Water?
Yes, you can make money by selling Kangen water and other products made by this Japanese company. You can earn in various ways, including direct sales commission, override commission, educational allowance, monthly incentive, quarterly incentive, title bonus, Global Leadership Incentive, and many more.
How Can You Make Money As A Distributor?
You can make money from this Japanese company by selling their products, earning retail commissions, and recruiting other distributors to build your own downline teams. This will unlock incentives and bonuses from this Japanese company.
But it’s not always easy.
There’s a lot that comes along with MLM that many people struggle with.
Now, don’t get the wrong idea…
It’s not impossible to make money with MLM, but if you’re gonna put in the amount of grueling work to do this business (which, trust me, isn’t easy), you might as well bring in some REAL money while you’re learning the ropes.
How Does The Enagic Compensation Plan Work?
The Enagic compensation plan is based on the fact that half the price of a Kangen machine is actually used for paying the distributor’s commissions.
Enagic compensation plan uses their direct sales commission system called the 8-point commission system. In this system, 8 points are given out to distributors every time a product is sold.
The machines are placed in hierarchies, and each point costs $340. The points can go beyond 8 depending on which product is sold and how high up it is in the hierarchy.
Enagic compensation plan includes a Total Sales Commission. This Japanese company gives a flat rate of $340 or more. It’s also important to note that each machine has a distributor ID number containing a referral code.
In the Enagic compensation plan, Distributors also have the opportunity to advance in rank, which is normally done by having successful direct sales. This is also based on the distributor’s total sales, which further incentivizes them.
How Much Do Enagic Distributors Make Through Direct Sales Commission?
Enagic distributors are paid quite well if they manage to sell products. Their direct sales commissions range from $340 to thousands of dollars, thanks to the Enagic compensation plan.
Is Enagic A Pyramid Scheme?
A pyramid scheme is a fraudulent business or enterprise that uses a high stream of “investors” who then end up recruiting more “investors.”
In pyramid schemes, while there would be products involved, the focus is recruiting more people into the scheme, and products serve little importance compared to the monetary gain garnered through recruitment.
Thus, while appearing similar, it differs from a multi-level marketing business. For MLMs, products are sold to consumers with the help of a controlled number of distributors. Products are not used to disguise the fraudulent nature of the business.
With these definitions in mind, I can say that Enagic is not a pyramid scheme. The company puts focus on its products and doesn’t recruit for the sake of recruiting.
The Enagic compensation plan, including the quarterly incentive title and educational commission allowance, is attractive enough to draw people in.
Aside from this, Enagic is certified for quality control and environmental management. They also have certification for their manufacturing plant. Furthermore, Enagic has received multiple awards and documented recognition for its products and services.
It must also be noted that Enagic is a company founded in Japan that has strict regulations regarding starting a business. Their previous affiliation with Sony also proves that they are a reliable organization.
Are There Alternatives To Enagic?
Yes, there are plenty of MLM companies to choose from if you want to pursue this business model. Here are just a few:
Is Enagic A Scam?
So, time for the $1,000,000 question: is Enagic a scam?
No, not technically. They aren’t going to run off with your money and not give you what you paid for. It’s 100% possible to make money with this program.
That said, it’s not nearly as simple as they want you to think.
There’s A LOT of work to be done upfront, and there’s no guarantee that you’ll succeed. The commissions are also fairly small.
Don’t get me wrong; I’m all for doing hard work now to reap the benefits later.
But if you’re going to work really hard for 3 months, and your reward is a $100 check… it’s not really a great opportunity.
If I’m gonna do that, I want the rewards to be HIGH and virtually guaranteed.
I’d rather put in that same 3 months of work (in my spare time) & build a handful of Digital Rental Properties that each produce $500-$2,000 checks every single month afterward (AKA recurring income).
And the cool part is that you can do it in a lot less time than 3-months (I personally did it in my first 2 weeks of being a Digital Landlord).
Unlike MLMs, you can do it from anywhere in the world, so it’s a genuine “laptop-lifestyle” business.
All you need is an internet connection.

The MLM may have convinced you that you’re actually helping people, but it’s often not really true.
