Why Does That Matter?

A lot of course reviewers have no experience with any of the business models or programs they review, and so they’re just making stuff up.

They do that because they want you to click through their link to buy from the person that the review is about!

They have no clue what it’s actually like to run the type of business Traffic and Funnels is teaching you to do.
I have absolutely no relationship with Traffic and Funnels, so you can rest easy knowing that I’m going to give you my honest opinion
This review is written based on my own experiences with this business model.

All that being said, let’s jump into things.

In business transactions, sales refers to exchange of cash for the ownership of a good or entitlement to a service.  In an accounting context, sales refers to the company’s revenue derived through the items or services.

This is one of the income-generating courses that Taylor Welch and Chris Evans promote on the net.

The dudes offer tactics on how to find clients and close deals. But in the end, you’ll have to do it by yourself.

Strategies are provided, and the application is yours to make!

And guess what? This program stimulates students’ belief in closing deals to 6 figures and up revenue!

So I decided to give an honest review of the course…

Traffic & Funnels is a training program that claims to turn you into a 6-figure earner by becoming a “high-ticket closer”.

To put it simply, they teach you to do sales for online courses.

To clear the air here, you can in fact make 6-figures by doing high ticket sales.

The caveat? You’re essentially trading one job for another.

Competent salespeople will always be a need. And if you’re partnered with a good product to sell, you can earn some good income and work from pretty-much anywhere you want.

The major downside here is that this all relies on things going 100% according to plan, i.e. people actually showing up to the phone calls that get booked for you, and having the motivation (and financial qualification), to actually buy from you.

And unless you’re working with the cream-of-the-crop course sellers that REALLY know how to do their marketing and follow-up, this is most likely not going to be the case.

So therein lies my biggest issue with being a “closer”: no matter how much income you may make in one month, you’re entirely at the mercy of another person’s whims in the next month (AKA your income can always be taken away from you).

The second biggest issue is lead quality. For most online programs, you’re looking at a 60% no-show rate (meaning people don’t show up to the call you have scheduled).

So if you set aside 8 hours for calls, you’ll maybe get to talk to 3-4 people at best. If you factor in only half of people being financially qualified, you have maybe 2 people that could afford to buy from you (you then of course, have to actually close them).

Keep in mind, that’s a best-case scenario.

Issue #3: commission rate. Most programs claim you’ll make $1,000+ per day in commissions.

The average commission for a coaching program is going to be around $500. That means you need to close 2 calls every single day to hit that number.

But if you’re only getting on calls with 2 people that could actually afford to buy from you, you’re going to need to have a 50-100% close rate. And to be frank, if you could do that… you should be selling your own stuff, not someone else’s.

The last issue is going to be consistency. Sales moves in cycles. You’ll have high highs, and very low lows. If you can deal with that emotional rollercoaster, then this one isn’t necessarily an issue for you.

If you’ve read some of my other articles, you’ll know that I recommend building a consistent, recurring income stream that comes in every single month.

What if you could build something that was mostly passive?

A reliable business that doesn’t require:

  • Talking all day on your phone
  • Wasting your life away with high no-show rates
  • Trading time for cash
  • Living at the mercy of someone else’s decisions

Traffic & Funnels is a lead generation program to help coaches, high-level consultants, and specialists grow their businesses to a 7 figure income a year!

They release weekly articles to guide starters on how to run, grow and scale business through their implemented techniques and strategies.

Basically, this company aims to get massive customers through the use of your ‘funnels‘ to get double returns – which is obviously the goal in every trade.

Taylor and Chris give techniques that would benefit most entrepreneurs if done correctly. Some sellers and product creators find it effective.

The company gets a 4.5/5 overall rating. Lots of success in this income-generating tool were posted on their website – which I think every business program and guru will do.

I’m not saying that they’re not legit, but those proofs are pretty much one-sided advertisements!

Chris and Taylor are the creators of Traffic & Funnels programs. The two have a pretty good record when it comes to advertising industry and digital marketing.

Their goal is to provide students and subscribers with the best of insight in designing funnels to skyrocket your business, and get the highest possible revenue.

Chris Evans originates from Charlotte, North Carolina. In 2012, he decided to settle in California together with his family. He worked as VP of marketing for GoDaddy.

After 3 years, Chris decided to build his own program, instead of remaining employed by others. He partnered with Taylor to start Traffic & Funnels.

Taylor Welch is from Shreveport Louisiana, and at the moment, he resides in Nashville with his wife and kid.

Right after finishing a marketing degree at University of Memphis, he jumped into the Traffic & Funnels business. And Chris admits that Taylor is responsible for their high-ticket sales ever since they started it.

Getting Started

Like any other courses available online, you’ll go through signing up process, settle the payment, and boom…you’re in!

It’s pretty straightforward to navigate. You wouldn’t have to worry about the overwhelming click requirements.

But once you’re in, you have to take things seriously, especially when in comes to their sale-page content, or else you’ll lose the chance to generate recurring income online.

Inside Traffic & Funnels

You may be baffled by the site if you don’t have any knowledge of what it looks like. Kudos for finding this review!

So as I was saying, it’s a bit confusing! I’m no stranger to business tools because I’ve probably tried almost all of them online, but this got it all mixed up.

I mean signing up is no big deal, they immediately sent log-in info on your mail to access the website.

But once you’re there, you may be puzzled by its content, as if you weren’t landed on TF-related pages.

So at that moment, I assumed it was a hoax.

There’s no need to panic because they actually give a satisfaction guarantee…meaning to say, you can get your cash back.

I still give it a try after a week and the plain fact is that I bumped into the bonus part.

In case you’re wondering, Traffic & Funnels Workshop is presented on the very last part. So suspicious. Chris and Taylor got that thing covered up.

Module 1: Zero In On 1 Result (Focusing On A Single Service)

  • First on the list, choose the service you want to provide to customers before you put up and design your funnel.
  • In this Module, Taylor advises you to pick a high-ticket service or product and focus on it.
  • According to Chris and Taylor, putting all of a company’s services and goods in a single funnel is ineffective. The funnel’s small structural capacity can’t hold such amount of services and products.

1. Learn To Say No: Finding Your One Service

  • Focus on only one product or service. Learn to master the art of saying no.
  • When you limit the products you sold, there’s a greater probability of tenfold increase in revenue
  • The most important thing is to find the “right” product or service.

2. Take The Time To Optimize The Funnel.

  • In one of the recorded lessons, a student whines about his funnel’s effectivity. But when Chris analyzes it, the student’s funnel needed some adjustments to target more niche, specifically a mid-range product consumer.
  • Chris believes that the funnel is best to cater to mid-range consumers who can purchase the student’s product.

Chris tips on how to adjust the Funnel:

  • Create personalized content. Write to a person, not a group.
  • Focus on peoples’ “pain points.” Extend an effort to target your clients problems and provide solutions for it.
  • Always “innovate.” In order for your funnel to work well, you’ll need some content adjustments. Always remember that the greatest copy reflects and displays the frustrations of your targets (build rapport and establish relationship), then lead them on concrete solution.

Module 2: Zero In On 1 Target Audience (Developing Your Client Avatar)

Once you’ve determined which product to utilize in your funnel, the next step is to choose who you want to reach with the funnel’s content.

Taylor provides a worksheet, and your goal here is to match the ad budget with your target audience.

So if you have a big crowd, you will need some bankroll just to get the ad off the ground. Contrary, if you’re on a tight budget, you have to adjust the number of your audience. Meaning to say, you have to work on your avatar.

In marketing, avatar means identifying your target and ideal customers to find them. You have to write everything about them on the worksheet. Funnels provided much deeper depth than ordinary client-targeting tools.

Taylor discusses these five areas:

  • Buyers’ Demographics (Gender, Age, Location, Education, etc.)
  • Buyers’ Desire (What are their wants and dreams)
  • Buyers’ Challenges (What’s block their goals?)
  • Buyers’ Objections (Why they didn’t want to sign on?)

Module 3: Build Your Feeder System (Creating Webinar Funnels)

Basically, you’ll learn about setting up funnel and recording webinars.

These are the common mistakes in setting up sale funnels:

  • The complexity of funnels (you put lots of steps and options)
  • Hard put off a free traffic drive (you only have one source)
  • Lack of “Acknowledgement page” (your sense of gratitude invites customer in)

Module 4: Turn On The Faucet ( Paid Traffic)

This module will teach you how to set up your paid traffic. Obviously, the funnel is composed of the funnel and the traffic.

The gurus will guide you on utilizing Facebook Ads. Everybody has a Facebook account, we know that. So it’s the most obvious way to target customers.

Taylor and Chris will teach you how to hit the audience’s interests through the use of effective copywriting and ads making tools.

These are the topics included:

  • Post Text Composing
  • Call-to-Actions that Actually Work
  • Informative Descriptions that Pull Lots of Clicks
  • Eye Grabbing Headlines
  • Developing a “great offer”

The gurus focus more on developing an “offer.” You have to include the quality of your goods, and why they are worth the price. After all, that’s what digital marketing is!

Naturally, the more they perceive the value and benefits of what you offer, the greater the chance they’ll be interested in it.

These are the three main pillars of a great offer:

  • Satisfaction Guarantee/Risk Reversal (Cash-back guarantee would make them feel safe)
  • Inclusion of bonuses and packages (Discounts will trap the market to sign up on your product)
  • Scarcity of the product (Potential buyers take action when they know that the product is scarce)

Module 5: Automate & Leverage Your Time

Chris and Evan will teach you about growing your business without being hampered. They even share their previous mistakes to optimize your funnel. Like, if you want more money, don’t work hard, just work smart. They’ll teach you the importance of innovation to scale a business.

How much Is Traffic And Funnels?

For me, customers show interest because almost everybody could afford it. It only costs $49, and you can enjoy the training and workshop

Most people who sign up for the program have never spent much on a training platform before. And this is something they think they can work on.

How Was The Structure Of The Program?

I find it helpful enough. You find support from the group. Those who have enrolled provide advice, tips, and useful information for beginners.

The community is always on the go in case of queries and confusion in navigating the tool. You will also be called throughout the week. You better expect a 3 calls max every week.

The coach will help you review your work, what you’ve missed out on, and what you should work on better.

The program structure consist of the following:

  • Great program content
  • Coach calls
  • Active community of marketers, coaches, and like-minded people

The Upside

The following are the selling points of the program:

1.Training and Support – The program has a great outline. They don’t just help you create ads, they also help you every step of the way until you’re done with the whole program.

2.Craftiness –You advertise a product because you want to make incurring income. 99% of their strategies target that. At the same time, you want customers get what they paid for. It’s a fair square match.

3.The Initial Price – Paying $49 for a chance of having a successful online business will surely trigger your interest. But, there’s a marketing theory that a near 100 bucks give off a good purchase, but if it only costs like 10 bucks, you’re only getting a shitty item.

4.Simplicity – I was confused at first, but after meeting the end line, everything makes sense. The topics are impressive and they add up new perspectives to the world of online sellers.

5.Value – I’m in search for business tools for quite some time now, and this one got me hook on the bonus deals and content. You surely get what you paid for.

The Downside

I’m one to admit that there’s no perfect business tool.

The following are the things I didn’t like:

1.The Total Payment -All of the course content is intended to work for funnels. And if you’re dissatisfied with the result, you might end up buying more of the course.

Yes, you may decline every offer, but you can’t get the full benefit without giving up to the upsells. And the more you try it, the more curious you get. I know that’s a pretty common marketing strategy.

In the business world, you want to make a profit out of your product and this is no exemption to that. By the way, their upsell options can range up to 1000 bucks.

2.Intimidating Atmosphere – For someone who hasn’t started a business, it can be a little bit intimidating. This course might not be the perfect fit for you.

I know the community will support on your needs, but at some point, you can’t help but feel like a fish out of water.

Is Taylor Welch Program Scam?

Hand off! A scam alert!

Time for the $1,000,000 question: Is Traffic & Funnels a scam?

No, it’s not a “scam”, technically speaking. You can 100% make money with it, and to be honest if you’re already stuck trading your time for money in some 9-5, it’s not a bad gig.

The thing to keep in mind is that you are NOT creating a lasting business. You’re changing jobs. You’re not going to have the luxury of sippin’ coconuts on the beach, because you will always be trading your time for income.

That doesn’t mean Taylor’s program is bad. You just need to be realistic with what you’re buying.

If half of your day is spent twiddling your thumbs because your scheduled call didn’t pick up, you could easily have spent that time building a reliable recurring income stream.

Wouldn’t you rather spend a few hours of your free time each day to generate a $500-$2,000 check that would continue to come in month after month?

And what if you could get that first payment within a week?

And what if you could double or triple it by the end of that month?

Well, that’s what’s possible when you become a Digital Landlord

All you need is a laptop and some internet.

Some of my friends are Digital Landlords that run their 6-figure businesses from:

Chris and Taylor built an affordable, well-structured, and well-designed program. The tools are meant to scale up your business to attain financial freedom.

The program doesn’t only teach with the concept of fishing, it also let you throw the fish bait to trap your target prospects aka buyers.

So it would be better if you already run a small business upon joining in. You won’t be imaging things, you’re actually applying it in real life situations for possible growth in sales.

Concluding Thoughts

After trying it out myself, I can say that I’m in the middle ground. I’m not saying that it’s ineffective, others are totally impressed. But things aren’t easy to navigate in a sense.

If you’re only interested in creating funnel, this one is good for you. But if you really want, incurring income…that would take a lot of hard work.

I give them a plus for the $49 price. It’s not too much, most people can afford it. But there’s just so much more to learn about creating funnels which I think they didn’t cover.

So you might ended up buying more and that would be expensive.

In fact, there’s no need to advertise much if the product is in-demand. And in real life, we know that pinning ads on social media or other platforms isn’t something that everybody could afford.

If I have a pretty fascinating ads, but I don’t have the budget… it doesn’t make any sense, right? My labor’s for nothing, so better save up if you want to be successful.

What’s My Recommended Way To Make Money Online In 2022?

Passive Income Generating Tactics

I’ve personally tried all of the major online business models:

  • I’ve sold high-ticket programs
  • I’ve sold fidget spinners through Amazon FBA
  • I’ve drop-shipped a toilet-bowl putting green on Shopify (pic below)
  • I’ve sold women’s health supplements via Clickbank affiliate marketing

And I made money with all of them, so trust me when I say: there is no “perfect” business model.

That being said, my #1 recommendation for making real money online is, hands-down: being a Digital Landlord

Whether you’re a complete newbie, or you’ve been around the block before but have never had that “big win” to propel you forward, becoming a Digital Landlord is for you.

1.Time commitment: If you have an hour or two per day, you can do this. Even if you want to drop everything and commit fully, that works too.

If you wanted to double your income with high ticket sales, you would need to work double the hours, or double your close rate. And I can guarantee you, that’s a lot harder than a few clicks & a phone call.

4.You’re Helping REAL People: My biggest gripe with high ticket sales is that it’s just another job.

But when you’re a Digital Landlord, you’re building a lasting business by helping solve REAL problems that people are ASKING for help with:

Small local businesses around the world need one thing: customers. Without them, their business would fall apart. If we can provide those customers, they’re going to be really happy – and they’re going to pay you for it.

You’re helping a struggling mother or father put FOOD on the table for their families, put their kids through college, or simply live life a little bit more comfortably.

Having this type of impact on the world is what will help you sleep soundly at night.

So, the rest is up to you. You could keep looking at other high ticket sales programs like Traffic & Funnels, which might work out.

You could keep researching and researching for the next few months (or few years), never making a concrete decision.

OR, you can look deep inside, think about those dreams, hopes, & desires, and make the decision to ACTUALLY make it happen, just like it has for thousands of other students before you.
