It’s just another of those make online money schemes that revolve around the sale of a course that claims to make you money by renting out residences.
But, hey, if you want to get into an EXPENSIVE market just before it’s about to implode…
Don’t come sobbing to us when you lose THOUSANDS of dollars.
It’s meant to show you how to become a real estate tycoon with a six-figure income.
However, it is actually out of reach for most individuals, including probably you, who are bound by budgets and student loans.
That’s the truth. You won’t get rich buying a single property that only makes a few hundred dollars a month and has a lot of liabilities and lousy tenants.
And because we have to be honest for this review.
Freedom Mentor is a course that teaches you about real estate investing.
If you’ve read my other articles on real estate investing, you’ll know there are 3 primary ways to invest:
Wholesaling, buy-and-hold, and flipping.
While they each have their pros and cons, there is a ton of potential for success investing in real estate.
Real estate has created some of the largest fortunes in world history.
That being said, you should take some time to seriously think about something:
Is now the best time for YOU to get into real estate investing?
Because despite the potential upside, investing in properties or land takes a lot of capital, and is very labor intensive.
That means if you:
- Have less than 3 hours per day, OR
- Aren’t sitting on $20K+ in disposable income
This may not be the best time for you to start investing in physical real estate.
Don’t get me wrong, real estate investing can be an amazing way to protect your assets while generating cash – but there’s a time and a place for it.
But there’s good news!
All you need is a system to generate you the cash (& free time) you need to be ready for real estate investing.
My preferred method of getting there is by becoming a Digital Landlord.
It takes the benefits of real estate investing, but removes many of the barriers (& annoyances), like::
- Small cash flow on properties
- Having to take out debt
- Dealing with repairs and upkeep
- Dealing with tenants
The cool part is that the income is mostly recurring (AKA semi-passive).
You could make anywhere from $2,000-$10,000+ per month doing it.
You can build it as big (or small) as you feel like, without the annoyances I listed above.
If that sounds interesting, you might want to think about becoming a Digital Landlord.
Then, you can take the profits and start investing in physical real estate a year or two from now.

What Is Freedom Mentor?
“We have a reputation for being the top real estate mentorship company in history.”
If you end up on their website, it is precisely how the CEO and founder, Phil Pustejovsky, greets you through a 1-minute short film.
Freedom Mentor positions itself as a school that does much more than teach students how to do things themselves – it is a program that mentors its students, working with them one-on-one to close deals and become successful real estate investor.
And, like many other leading real estate brands, it is built entirely around the creator’s personality; as a result, to get to know the brand, we must first learn about the founder.
Who Is Phil Pustejovsky?
Phil Pustejovsky is known for being “North America’s leading real estate mentor,” as he describes himself. He’s a best-selling book and a seasoned real estate investor with thousands of transactions under his belt.
He was born in Texas and worked the regular 9-to-5 jobs that he despised and grew tired of, to the point where he fell asleep at his desk on several occasions. He then got into a fight with his boss about one day off, and to make a long story short, he was out of work, living out of his car, and eating canned beans.
Phil’s life took a turn for the better after becoming homeless and unemployed.
After his first real estate deal fell through, he was left homeless and living in a truck. After hitting rock bottom, Phil met a seasoned investor who would later become his mentor.
His mentor who agreed to teach him everything he knew in exchange for a 50/50 split of the deal.
Phil Pustejovsky is now married, lives in Florida, and runs a successful real estate investing business. He uses the same strategy that helped him succeed: hands-on mentoring in exchange for a 50/50 cut of the deals his mentees close.
He promotes his program through books and YouTube videos, with the latter serving as his effective means of instruction.
He is a best-selling author who travels the country giving talks about real estate. CBS MoneyWatch, the Wall Street Journal’s MarketWatch, and Yahoo! Finance have featured him.
Robert Kiyosaki, Robert Shemin, and Peter Conti were among the speakers that took the stage.
Entrepreneur Inc., Huffington Post, and Business Insider were among the publications highlighting him.
Despite being part of a team and a company called Freedom Mentor, Phil Pustejovsky is essentially the “Freedom Mentor” himself. His personal brand story is at the heart of the mentoring program.
Phil says that his Freedom Mentor team has produced more successful real estate investors than any other traditional real estate investing program in history. People from all walks of life have had their lives transformed by us. “We’ve been named the best real estate mentorship firm ever,” says the company.
So, as a business, what will they teach, and what services will they provide?
What Does Freedom Mentor Offer?
The first item they provide you is a free copy of Phil’s book, “How to be a Real Estate Investor.” They demand your email address in exchange for the ebook.
The book itself has a 4.4 out of five-star rating on Amazon, based on over 550 reviews.

Freedom Mentor Training provides free training.
Furthermore, Freedom Mentor offers a free course that covers the following topics:

That’s a lot of stuff, and the course is just a collection of Phil’s Youtube videos that are now available to the general public.
So, why would you sign up for videos that you can watch without disclosing your e-mail address?
The additional benefit is mainly related to the films’ well-organized structure, which is available in an exceptionally user-friendly format and leads you through the various steps. They’re best viewed in the course’s recommended order. As a result, starting the course is a good idea if you want to learn quickly.
Phil’s entrance video clip has been viewed nearly three million times during the last five years. Surprisingly, the channel with a respectable 300,000 followers is named for Phil rather than his company “Freedom Mentor.”
Phil got his start on YouTube, and it was there that Freedom Mentor gained a lot of traction. Phil was one of the first people in the real estate industry to use the platform.
Phil believes that what sets his channel apart from other real estate-focused media is that everything you learn is “pure signal (truth)” rather than the “noise” that is all too common.
In addition, Freedom Mentor has a separate web page called “Inspiration,” where they share stories of how ordinary people altered their life and closed significant transactions after joining the program.
The reviews include a summary of each person’s life experience and their photo and recorded video testimony.
It’s difficult to tell whether or not these reviews are genuine. Though it appears realistic, these people could be given a chance to turn up and praise Freedom Mentor. I also have to mention that the previous testimonial was posted five years ago, in December 2015, which is a little weird.
Freedom Mentor Offers Paid Training
You’ve come to learn about the paid stuff.
We researched and located the pricing even on their website, even though no fees are formally introduced online.
These are the two paid programs offered by Freedom Mentor:
Pre apprentice Program. It costs $997 and is entirely refundable within three days of purchase.
Mentorship Program that helps people learn new skills. It will set you back $3000. Non-Refundable.
In addition, 50% of each contract you close under either program will go to Freedom Mentor. Until you reach $500K in deal earnings, it used to be a 50/50 split. The barrier, however, has been reduced to 100K.
This means that if you close a 200K deal, you get to keep 100K in revenue while giving the remaining 100K to Freedom Mentor.
To join Freedom Mentor’s apprentice program, go to the website and fill out the form. Following your application, a member of Phil’s team will contact you to go over the program.
Following that, you will be tested over the phone to see if you are a suitable candidate.
You’ll be checked to see whether you’re coachable, devoted, honest, action-oriented, and have a positive mental attitude before you’re admitted.
So, what are the lessons that these two systems impart? It’s not apparent what each of the two tiers gives you access to, but here’s what they promise:
- A ten-chapter real estate masterclass.
- A weekly success roadmap with step-by-step instructions to follow.
- Sound and video training for a quick start
- The following is a list of financial support resources.
- Real estate document templates are available in a library.
- They refer to their preferred vendor system as their “million-dollar Rolodex.”
- A learning center.
- The real estate deal income automation software from ePartner.
- Sites for buyers and sellers have been completed for professionalism.
- A database of lenders.
- Thirty-days of guidance with Phil .
This program includes access to a lender database, two weekly convention calls with other apprentices, daily involvement with the Freedom Mentor’s coaching staff, and three monthly phone sessions with the coaching staff.
Can You Make Money With Freedom Mentor?
Yes, someone will profit from this program and the coaching but the question is who. Do you think you’ll make as much money if you have to pay him half of the cut?
You can undoubtedly earn money with real estate, but if you’re going to put in the effort to become a real estate investor (which isn’t simple), you may as well make some serious cash.
Is Freedom Mentor A Scam?
So, time for the $1,000,000 question – is Freedom Mentor a scam?
No, not technically. You can 100% make money with this program, though it’s not nearly as simple as they make it seem.
As with most businesses, there is A LOT of work to be done up front & no guarantee of you being successful.
Not to mention the profit margins are typically pretty small.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big proponent of front-loading work now, so that you can reap the rewards later.
But if I’m gonna do that, I want the rewards to be HIGH and virtually guaranteed.
I’d rather put in that same 3 months of work (in my spare time) & build a handful of Digital Rental Properties that each produce $500-$2,000 checks every single month afterward (AKA recurring income).
And the cool part is that you can do it in a lot less time than 3-months (I personally did it in my first 2 weeks of being a Digital Landlord).
Unlike physical real estate, you can do it from anywhere in the world, so it’s a genuine “laptop-lifestyle” business.
All you need is an internet connection.
Some of my friends are Digital Landlords that run their 6-figure businesses from:
- Camping trips at national parks
- Beachfront in Hawaii
- On the road in a camper-van (with a pet pig!)
They focus on living an enjoyable life first, and focus on income second. All thanks to this program.
They can take weeks or months off, and money keeps rolling in.
Living happily is the top priority.
If the thought of living perpetually at your dream vacation spot interests you, being a Digital Landlord might be for you!
Is Freedom Mentor Legit?
It is a reputable real estate investing mentorship system that will assist students in taking their businesses to the next level.
Freedom Mentor is the place to go to learn all about how to do real estate deals successfully.
The training program and daily access to coaching from professionals with a broad and deep body of knowledge about all types of real estate investing but a clear, practical understanding of creative real estate investing provide the most value.
Nonetheless, I do not recommend this program because of the following concerns.
- First, I believe it’s overpriced for the service it’s supposed to deliver. What’s keeping students from simply buying a learning book and investing on their own?
- Second, their reviews make me raise an eyebrow because there isn’t enough evidence that critical or favorable evaluations have been fabricated to make the organization look bad or good.
- Third, in addition to the great prices, the 50/50 split gives me little trust that anyone is getting their money back as quickly as they would like.
When it comes to starting a business, though, you have a lot of possibilities.
Even if you’re dead set on being a real estate investor, there are better alternatives than Freedom Mentor program.
Remember that I am not compensated to promote the programs I evaluate. Real estate investing is a fantastic business strategy, in my opinion, but you could wind up losing a lot of money.
What Is Our #1 Recommendation For Making Money Online Is 2022?
I’ve personally tried all of the major online business models:
- I’ve sold fidget spinners through Amazon FBA
- I’ve drop-shipped a toilet-bowl putting green on Shopify
- I’ve sold women’s health supplements via Clickbank affiliate marketing
And I made money with all of them, so trust me when I say: there is no “perfect” business model.
It’s worth noting that I FULLY endorse real estate investing as a way to grow wealth, and that’s why I invest my own money in commercial and residential real estate.
That being said, my #1 recommendation for making real money online as a beginner is, hands-down: being a Digital Landlord.
Whether you’re a complete newbie, or you’ve been around the block before but have never had that “big win” to propel you forward, becoming a Digital Landlord is for you.
1.Time: If you’ve got a spare hour-or-two each day, you can do this. If you want to drop everything and go all-in, you can do this. More time obviously means faster results, but even putting in a few hours per day is enough to see real success.
And because of that flexibility, you don’t need to trade your time for money. Once the income starts, it’s recurring.
That means you can take a month off, travel the country, pursue a passion project, chill on the beach, or charter a boat across the world.
But you can only do that once you’ve created an income stream that doesn’t require YOU to be there all day, every day.
Real estate investing is a FULL TIME JOB. If you stop finding deals, your money dries up.
2.Ownership & Control: Unless you’re buying your properties in cash, you don’t technically own the properties – the lender does.
If you miss a single payment, the property can be taken from you.
Why pour your soul into a business that could be taken away from you at the drop of a dime?
When you’re a Digital Landlord, you literally own all of the assets, which means you have ultimate control.
3.Ongoing costs: With real estate, profit margins are actually pretty slim. Real wealth is made in owning the assets, and owning A LOT of them.

Just a reminder: these Digital Rental Properties are worth (at a minimum) $500/mo in semi-passive income. And each time you create another one, your income increases, and the effort put into creating the next property decreases.
Best case scenario, you have properties bringing in over $3,000+/mo on auto-pilot.
4.It’s Effectively Copy-Paste: Here’s my favorite part: once you have your first Digital Rental Property up, you can literally copy-paste another version of it and find another willing “renter” in a few days. DOUBLING your income doesn’t get much easier than that…
If you wanted to double your income with real estate investing, you would need twice as many properties, or double your profit margins on each property. And I can guarantee you , that’s a lot harder than a few clicks & a phone call.
5.Make Money Helping Real People: When you’re a Digital Landlord, you’re helping solve REAL problems that people are ASKING for help with:
Small local businesses around the world need one thing: customers. Without them, their business would fall apart. If we can provide those customers, they’re going to be really happy – and they’re going to pay you for it.
You’re helping a struggling mother or father put FOOD on the table for their families, put their kids through college, or simply live life a little bit more comfortably.
Having this type of impact on the world is what will help you sleep soundly at night.
So, the rest is up to you. You could keep looking at other opportunities Freedom Mentor, which might make you money.
You could keep researching and researching for the next few months (or few years), never making a concrete decision.
OR, you can look deep inside, think about those dreams, hopes, & desires, and make the decision to ACTUALLY make it happen, just like it has for thousands of other students before you.
