Justin Phillips Ecommerce Review (Updated 2024): Is This The Last Ecom Course You’ll Need?

Updated On: March 19, 2024

Welcome to my Last Ecom Course review. My goal is to answer common questions like: how much it costs, if it's a scam, and if you can actually make money with it. The end goal is to help you understand if it's a good fit for you personally, and if there are any better alternatives out there.
Justin Phillps Ecommerce review

This Last Ecom Course review has been throughly researched with information and testimonials that are available online to anyone in the public. Any conclusions drawn by myself are opinions.

Hi there, welcome to my Justin Phillips ecommerce review.

You probably heard about the Last Ecom Training Program through one of the following ways:

  • You accidentally saw one of his TikTok videos talking about passive income
  • Perhaps you saw him discussing money-making strategies on popular podcasts like Earn Your Leisure, Dormtainment, and Social Proof and got interested.
  • You’ve been on the hunt for an ecommerce and dropshipping course and want to find out if this one is the real deal.

I’ll cover all your questions, from whether Justin’s dropshipping and e-commerce strategies really work to finding out if there are better and more affordable e-commerce programs out there.

I’ve also written hundreds of reviews on different dropshipping programs, so I know a thing or two about this business model.

I’ve also sifted through numerous articles written by former students and watched countless videos. Rather than spend hours trying to go through the same material, why not make this your one-stop shop for all things Justin Phillips?

After all, what’s five minutes if it means not spending all your cash on a maybe?

Without further ado, let’s dive right into the pros and cons section of this review.

Summary

Justin Phillips does have a comprehensive training curriculum, and it covers a majority of what you should know about running an e-commerce business. He’s also actively involved in the mentorship of his students as he answers coaching calls and offers support. For the community, you do get access to an exclusive community.

What I liked
Justin does not delegate his role as a trainer, meaning students get exactly what they paid for; that's mentorship and a dropshipping curriculum.
The strategies Justin teaches in this program are what he's used to make money with his online store. This means that you, too, can make money with these strategies.
You do get access to coaching calls, where you get your questions answered and concerns handled.
What I Didn’t Like
While students are added to a Facebook group, the community aspect is lacking. This means you'll be better off depending on the coaching calls Justin offers.
Dropshipping doesn't offer a reliable passive income stream, meaning you'll probably have to navigate lots of hurdles to make the seven-figure Justin claims.
The cost of the program isn't affordable, which means it will probably be out of reach for most people.

TLDR – What’s The Verdict on The Last Ecom Course

What’s The Verdict on The Last Ecom Course

If you’re the type of person who appreciates an honest, straightforward answer as to whether you should invest in the Last Ecom course, here’s my thought.

No.

But before I can get into why I say no. Let me give credit where it’s due. Justin does a good job showing people how to make money via dropshipping, using three key secret strategies.

First up is the idea of cloning successful ecommerce businesses. There’s also the leveraging an influencer’s popularity to gain visibility.

Lastly, the art of using social media to generate traffic.

Gotta admit I do love the concept of using social media to drum uptraffic. After all, social media practically runs the show these days.

But here’s the thing.

While I do agree with one strategy, the fact is you’re still diving headfirst into the e-commerce industry. And I’m not a huge fan of the dropshipping business model.

As someone who’s tried running an ecommerce business, I can tell you for free that it’s a waste of time. You might make some money, but the negatives completely outweigh the positives.

Why?

For one, you’re constantly playing catch-up with the latest trends just to keep your products moving. The real success of any ecommerce store is all about the products you choose to sell.

And if you don’t have the hottest and trendiest products, it gets easy for customers to pass you. That means even less money.

Second, even if you have the right products, if people don’t know that, making money won’t be possible. And that’s where Justin’s Ecom training supposedly steps in to save the day.

While Justin does teach you how to run ads for your business, what he doesn’t say is that it can be a huge waste of money if you’re simply running ads for the sake of it.

Social media marketing is great, but only if you’ve got a clue of what you’re doing. While you can learn it with Justin Phillips, I’d advise you to learn this skill from a program that doesn’t advocate for you to start an e commerce business.

My top recommendation has got to be the Digital Rental Method.

With the Digital Rental Method, you can learn social media marketing and build a reliable and legitimate business using these skills.

The best part is that this program goes way beyond social media marketing. You get to:

Now, that’s a far cry from trying to use social media to grow an e-commerce business. At the end of the day, you’re still trying to make money with a business model with lots of cons than pros.

Rather than end up wasting months or years trying to make e-commerce work, why not go for a program with a tried and tested way to make money?

Who Benefits From The Last Ecom Program

Who benefits from Last Ecom progam

I’m not here to forcefully make you decide not to invest in the Justin Phillips Last Ecom training.

On the contrary, all I want to do is help make your decision easier by providing facts. With the right information, you can make your decision.

With that said, who benefits from the Last Ecom program?

If the list below strikes a chord with you, then this e-commerce business might be for you.

  1. Anyone who’s completely determined to get into the e commerce industry, regardless of the facts about this business model.
  2. You have an e commerce store but aren’t making money from it. Some of the strategies this e-commerce program teaches do work, and that is something this Reddit thread highlights.

Who is this program not for?

  1. Anyone looking to make money online with a business model that isn’t doomed to fail from the very beginning. Approximately 90% of e-commerce stores fail after the three-month period. Those that survive often don’t make it past the first year.
  2. You haven’t settled on what business model to use to make money online. If you’re still on the fence about programs like Home Business Academy or Lunar Ecom, making a quick decision based on emotion might not be the way to go.
  3. You don’t want to wait around for months on end trying to make money running an ecommerce business, which is one of the cons that this Quora user highlights.

The Last Ecom Training Program – The 1,000 FT View of This Online Business Opportunity

1000 Ft View of Last Ecom Training program

Hats off to you for making it this far.

In this section, I’ll take a deep dive into learning more about this program.

Let’s start with the basics.

The Business Model

As the name suggests, Last Ecom is a program that teaches individuals how to make money by running an e commerce store. According to Justin Phillips, you can earn a 7 figure income from an e-commerce business if you follow the three key strategies he teaches.

The primary foundation of these three key strategies mainly relies on the use of social media. That makes sense, as social media platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook are really popular.

With millions of users each, you get to go where your customers are.

My only problem with programs like Ecom Babe, Lunar Ecom and Justin Phillips course is that they basically sell you on a dream of earning big from a business model that’s already doomed from the start.

The fact is that 90% of e-commerce businesses fail within the first three months. While 10% make it, very few are earning the 7-figure income Justin Phillips claims.

Rather than skate through months or even a year of your time trying to make money running an e-commerce business, why not check out the Digital Rental Method?

About The Guru-Justin Phillips

Justin Phillips

Let’s meet the brains behind the Last Ecom training program.

Justin Phillips is a Huston-based entrepreneur with a passion for teaching. While he has a degree in audio production from Howard University, he became known through his project with historically black colleges.

He co-founded the Brand Support Black Colleges with his business partner Corey Arvinger. Their clothing brand aims to raise awareness, educate people, and support HBCUs.

In addition to his brand, Justin has collaborated with various corporations. He started his journey as a digital marketer at Coca-Cola in 2013 and has since worked with other brands like HapApp, Yunmai, and Social Wage as a social media strategist.

However, it is his work brand and working with historically black colleges that gave him the stardom. By associating with celebrities such as Gunna, Lil Baby, Donovan Mitchell, and Teyana Taylor, as well as athletes and other public figures supporting his project, he made both money and valuable connections.

Justin Phillips has also amassed a large following on social media platforms. He has close to 1 million followers on Instagram and over 60,000 followers on TikTok.

One reason for his continued online growth is his focus on sharing content that his followers want to engage with, particularly vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers.

The Cost of The Last Ecom Training Program

The cost for the Last Ecom Training Program is $1,497. This one-time payment gives you access to all training videos. Moreover, students do not need to pay more for additional coaching online or access Justine through audio calls.

Membership in the Facebook group, designed to be a supportive and exclusive community for students, is also free.

While the program has a 30-day, action-based refund policy and has no hidden cost, the price tag is on the higher side in terms of the value you get as a student. Similar technical skills and strategies Justine offers can often be found online for free.

You can also check out similar ecommerce programs like Rainmaker Challenge or Zen Arbitrage.

Is the Last Ecom Training Legit? My Personal Opinion

Is Last Ecom training legit

If you’re here, that could only mean one thing, you want to know if the Last Ecom Training is legit or not.

Well, it is.

But is it worth your investment?

My answer is no.

Why?

There’s a lot of upfront work to do when it comes to running an ecommerce store.

Don’t get me wrong – I’m all for hard work, especially in the end if it means more money in the bank.

But what happens when the amount of work you put in doesn’t translate into great income? This is the exact outcome of running an ecommerce store.

You’ll put in months or even a year of time and effort only to make returns as low as $100.

Second, running ads isn’t as easy as Justin Phillips puts it.

I’m all for social media marketing, but actually running quality ads is a skill. For you to get these technical skills, you’ll need to have the right guru teach it to you.

You also need to use it in the right business. While Justin can show you some tips, it won’t come close to what an actual guru with a proven strategy in this field can teach you.

Instead of settling for the bare minimum when it comes to social media marketing, why not check out the Digital Rental Method?

With the Digital Rental Method, you get to:

  • Learn how to build a legitimate business using social media marketing skills.
  • Generate leads for local businesses using Google ads and other platforms.
  • Know how to help local businesses while still making money.

Trust me, that beats having to waste more than eight hours every day trying to make money by selling air fryer accessories.

What’s Inside The Last Ecom Training Program

What’s Inside The Last Ecom Training Program

The Last Ecom Training Program teaches you the basics of dropshipping, ecommerce, and a bit of influencer marketing.

Here are some of the mini-courses he has curated to help students navigate the niche and make an income:

Creating a business from ideas

Justin Philips teaches you as a student how to take an idea to launch. He gives examples of some of the greatest clothing companies and how they achieved success.

But while the course shares other important details, such as essential equipment the students need to launch their brand, the business model is saturated, making it hard to make a sustainable income.

Influencer Marketing

Influencer marketing is one of the popular offerings by Justin Philips. In this course, he shares tips for locating influencers and using their social media reach to promote your brand.

While his tips and information are very valuable, he fails to mention that most influencers might not agree to work for free with the hope of future income or exposure.

And if they do, they may have crazy demands, such as taking up to 60% of the total profits.

Navigating TikTok

With a huge following on TikTok, Justin knows a thing or two about the platform, particularly on going viral and pushing a brand on the platform. In this mini-course, he shares with you how to find the latest sounds, spot trends before they become cliche, and when to post for maximum views.

Although most of these are the ingredients one needs to make on the platform, relying on TikTok to get customers is a gamble.

First, it is hard to translate the views to business as the platform tries to keep users on the platform longer. Second, these techniques are not future-proof; the best time of the day to post a video to advertise products keeps changing.

A Shopify Mini Course

Justin Phillips introduces the concept of Shopify to his students and how to prepare for scaling and bringing more sales. The information is packed in 47 videos.

While he’s easily understandable, especially for beginners, and uses real-life examples, the course is too long, and students must rely on expensive paid ads.

Conclusion- To Buy or Not To Buy

After having tackled almost everything in this Ecom training review, should you still buy it?

If I were you, I wouldn’t.

The fact that they teach you how to leverage social media is great. But the business model- ecommerce- won’t give you the financial freedom you’re looking for.

Rather than cross your fingers and watch thousands of dollars go down the drain, why not invest that money in a program that will help you build a consistent semi-passive income?

Check out my number #1 way to make money online.

What’s My Number #1 Way To Make Money Online in 2024?

What's the #1 Way to Make Money?

I’ve personally tried all of the major online business models:

  • I’ve drop-shipped a toilet-bowl putting green on Shopify
  • I’ve drop-shipped jade rollers via Clickfunnels
  • I’ve sold fidget spinners through Amazon FBA
  • I’ve sold women’s health supplements via Clickbank affiliate marketing

And I made money with all of them, so trust me when I say: there is no “perfect” business model.

That being said, my #1 recommendation for making real money online is, hands-down is the Digital Rental Method.

Whether you’re a complete newbie or you’ve been around the block before but have never had that “big win” to propel you forward, the Digital Rental Method is for you.

Why?

1)Time: If you’ve got a spare hour or two each day, you can do this. If you want to drop everything and go all in, you can do this. More time obviously means faster results, but even putting in a few hours per day is enough to see real success.

And because of that flexibility, you don’t need to trade your time for money. Once the income starts, it’s recurring.

That means you can take a month off, travel the country, pursue a passion project, chill on the beach, or charter a boat across the world.

Did Last Ecom Course Make The List?

But you can only do that once you’ve created an income stream that doesn’t require YOU to be there all day, every day.

All the responsibilities you handle with dropshipping or running an ecommerce store can eat into over eight hours of your day.

2) Ownership & Control: With dropshipping, you don’t actually own anything. You can’t control your product quality or even what the package looks like when it shows up.

Technically, you own your Shopify site… but ad platforms could shut you down at a moment’s notice… so you don’t really have much control there.

Why pour your soul into a business that could be taken away from you at the drop of a dime?

With the Digital Rental Method, you literally own all of the assets, which means you have ultimate control.

3) Fulfillment: Alright, so you don’t have any inventory… but that worry has been replaced with the pains of overseas fulfillment.

That means your customer is going to have to wait 3-4 weeks to receive their order.

Then add in the current global supply chain woes… and you’re looking at 5-6-7 weeks!

Then the customer slaps you with a refund, and all of that time spent testing and spending money on ads was for nothing.

You don’t have to worry about any of that when you’re renting out digital properties.

4) It’s Effectively Copy-Paste: Here’s my favorite part: once you have your first Digital Rental Property up, you can literally copy-paste another version of it and find another willing “renter” in a few days. DOUBLING your income doesn’t get much easier than that…

If you wanted to double your income with dropshipping, you would need to sell twice as much inventory or double your profit margins. And I can guarantee you (from my shopify dropshipping days), that’s a lot harder than a few clicks & a phone call.

5) Big Margins: With dropshipping, you’re often going to have really slim margins. That means you need to hit a serious scale to make serious money. This usually entails spending A LOT of money on ads and other methods for growing traffic to your product.

In the Digital Rental Method, your profit margin is nearly 100%. Watch here to learn how.

Just a reminder: these Digital Rental Properties are worth (at a minimum) $500/mo in semi-passive income. And each time you create another one, your income increases and the effort put into creating the next property decreases.

Best case scenario, you have properties bringing in over $3,000+/mo on auto-pilot.

6) You’re Helping REAL People: My biggest gripe with dropshipping is that you’re usually finding some product that’s complete garbage and tricking people into buying it. It provides no real value to them or to the world in general.

It’s cool in the short term to make a quick buck, but in the long term, it gets really old, really fast.

But when you’re talking about the Digital Rental Method, you’re helping solve REAL problems that people are ASKING for help with.

Small local businesses around the world need one thing: customers. Without them, their business would fall apart. If we can provide those customers, they’re going to be really happy – and they’re going to pay you for it.

You’re helping a struggling mother or father put FOOD on the table for their families, put their kids through college, or simply live life a little bit more comfortably.

Having this type of impact on the world is what will help you sleep soundly at night.

So, the rest is up to you. You could keep looking at other dropshipping programs like the Last Ecom Training course, which might make you money 12 months from now.

You could keep researching and researching for the next few months (or a few years), never making a concrete decision.

OR, you can look deep inside, think about those dreams, hopes, & desires, and make the decision to ACTUALLY make it happen, just like it has for thousands of other students before you.

Making a fortune while actually helping real people who need it.

If this sounds like you, click here to see how it all works.
